Husband And I Deicided To Go Grab Some Dinner During Our Day Off. In The Summer Paletalandia Was Always Our Go To Spot For Ice Cream And Mangonadas On First Street (Delicious, No Compliants There). Recently We Noticed A New Location Opened Up On Tenth Street ! Taqueria And Ice Cream Place Combined? Why Not !!! Carne Asada Fries Looked Soooooo Delicious As Those Two Are My Favorites Combined. He Ordered A Carnitas Burrito. Excited And In A Hurry To Come Home To Eat … I Bit Into Raw Fries, Dry To The Bone Cheese … He Bit Into A Hairy Dry Flavorless Carnita Burrito. Disgusted And Disappointed That We Had Finished Paying 35 Dollars On Magonadas & Flavorless Food. We Decided To Be «Those People» And Go Back To Ask For A Refund. 8:30. Sign Says Closed At 9… So We Knock On The Door And The Girl Decided To Ignore Us. Finally She Noticed We Weren’t Going No Where Out Comes The Manager Apologizing And Gave Us Our Refund No Questions Asked. 1 Star For The Refund And The Fine Mangonadas We Had That You Made Sir. We Will Come Back For Mangonadas But, Catch Us At El G Across The Street For Food.

This was horrible food. It was also soooooooooooooo sloooooooowwwwww. It took 30 minutes for them to make two tortas and an order of asada fries. The food was strange and tasted terrible. For some reason my torta came complete with a hot dog in the middle. I don’t know why. It didn’t say it would have a hot dog in the middle in the description. I guess it was a bonus — just not a good one. The asada fries were not cooked. Have you ever eaten a raw, previously frozen fry? It’s not pleasant and I don’t recommend it. Just like I don’t recommend this place.

Filthy place, empanadas tasted like stale oil used over and over, as it was also used to grease the toilet’s seal! On my first bite of the carnitas empanada I was surprised with a chewy tendon (yickes!) and the carnitas were dry, and hard. Uneatable! I wouldn’t feed a dog in fear of making it sick!
I ordered a mangonada without chili and it came out with sprinkled pepper everywhere. I thought I said NOT spicy, not extra hot! They made another one that was actually pretty tasty without the hot sauce or sprinkles-​the mango ice cream was good, that’s worth only ½ a star, but I had no such option.
Buyers BEWARE!
UPDATE: I had to call in sick today, throwing up and having the runs. Just the 2 little bites I tried — or the mangonada, IDK, but I feel sick and regretful I went to that garbage place. Maricos San Juan was probably infected by the staff from here. scary!

Seriously 20 minutes to make a mangonada? Avoid this place. Service is super slow and none of the employees seem to care.

There is no leadership within the kitchen, no structure and no initiative to kick things up in high gear when the traffic picks up. People walking in 15 min after me are getting their ice cream? Idk if I’ll even like it.

Really tasty carne asada burrito, friendly and helpful staff my first mangonada, and it was yummy. Will definitely come here again.

This place is fairly new, replacing a super tasty underground taqueria.
Twenty five minutes to roll one burrito.
Over a ¹⁄₃ of an hour. The place before:
5 – 7.5 minutes tops and hand delivered.
The music, plus it’s volume,
was torture to wait and dine to.
The burrito itself was presentable.
The burrito itself was healthy.
The burrito itself was split in half?
The burrito in all it’s gestalt was bland.
Ultimately, it was not worth the 25 minutes
and the $ 7.50 for a not so loaded burrito.
The understanding that the place was packed is present,
but there could have been better coordination with the staff at hand.
Beefing up manpower in the kitchen
might speed things up.
Everyone seemed to be VERY frustrated.
Overall, very sad to see the old place go.
