A cute little shop nestled in the middle of the strip that offers a large variety of antiques. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star is because I tried to negotiate and they were pretty firm. However, I would still highly recommend stoping in. You never know what you may find…

One of my favorite antique stores! They have a big range of items here from furniture and old sinks to fine silverware and china. We love chatting with the owner, Linda as well! The service here is great — they really helped us a ton when we were planning our engagement party.(Almost all of our décor was from here!) My favorite thing to buy here is dishes and just things for the home in general. Also, we have three dogs and one time they let us bring them into the store while we shopped around!(that rarely happens anywhere — almost no where in Gilroy!) Lovely people and lovely store!

This place has the MOST stuff in it of any of the antique stores. There’s a TON of stuff crammed in there, an antiquer’s dream! From tools to doilies to furniture, they have it! I think it’s actually impossible to walk it all and not find something that you need(you can buy older, well-made things cheaper than modern junque), and a few things you want too.

It may very well be as good as it gets-Mmm, that’s an awful lot of hype, but how come *every* time I’m here I walk out with at least one little treasure? I DO have the self control to walk out of stores without buying things all the time, for the record, but they have so many sellers with eclectic collections of antiques/vintage clothing/random garden art out in front of the entrance, and there’s total crap in some cases, all of which I have to check out! I can’t pass it up. Lots of good furniture, and a whole case of some of the most incredible Native American Jewelery from several different tribes I was drooling over for a good 15 minutes. Lots of jewelery here– that’s what I got last time I stopped in. A groovy white enamel coated pendant, for $ 4.50. Totally unique. I also got one of the cutest vintage sundresses here for $ 15 that I always get compliments on when I wear it. Great prices and finds. It boggles my mind what the mark ups are on vintage clothes in SF after shopping this place. I’d consider making a day of shopping all the antique malls here in Gilroy, with Collective Past being first on my list!

Big, eclectic and full of americana, Collective Past is a great place to go if you are looking for that last plate to complete a vintage china collection.

Best antique store on the Central Coast. And my mom just happens to own it.
