Windham, NH
Iron Works Market is an absolute necessity and it has exactly what you need. They stock just the right stuff they seem to know you will need on short notice – everything from bait to fresh produce to ice cream and other necessities. Their deli uses Boar’s Head meats and cheeses and will make a sub or sandwich to order. The only thing I stay away from is their breakfast muffin-​sandwiches – not to my taste. I finally tried their pizza (being just a bit of a pizza snob), and found it very good. It’s the New York style fold-​it-​over, and it is far better than one might think from a convenience store. But this place is more than just a convenience store, it is a hub of local activity and, well, it’s just right.

I’ve never ordered food here, but it’s a great place to grab a breakfast sandwich and any other beverages you may want. My husband and I stop in for a snack and a tea or soda on a regular basis. The people who work there (and I believe own it?) are super nice!
