Gilford House of Pizza

ordered a steak and cheese canzone with sauce and pepperoni, delivered… excellent, cooked perfect. kudos:)

I don’t appreciate AT ALL being yelled at when I was summarily told that I hadn’t paid for the beverage that I HAD ordered.
I refuse to patronize an establishment that treats customers soooooooooo poorly ESPECIALLY when there are 10 other higher-​rated venues in the immediate area

We order food from here every couple of weeks and have it delivered. It always arrives hot and delicious. We’ve tried almost everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed!

A decent Greek-​style pie up in the up north regions of Gilford. Not a 4 or 5 star pizza but certainly not the worst. I was impressed that there wasn’t a large amount of grease or a greasy haze over the pizza. Sauce was good with a touch of sweetness but not overpowering and certainly not enough to call it the infamous «Sweet Sauce». The cheese was okay. I would definitely get again.

Always enjoy our pizza from here! When the grandchildren are with us for a sleepover, it’s their meal of choice, so why not?!?
We usually order for pick up and it’s always ready on time or with a very short wait if they are super busy. They also do deliver, but we haven’t done that in quite a while. Our last order was for a large cheese and a large special that was loaded with yumminess and all kinds of toppings. Delicious! Both pizzas were cooked perfectly and nice and hot when we got them home.
The menu offers quite a nice selection of pizzas, calzones, hot and cold sandwiches, appetizers, salads and dinners. Prices are more than reasonable.
The place itself could use a makeover — booths line the walls, but I imagine the majority of their business is takeout so not important.
This business has been in the area quite a long time and hopefully will continue to do so!

We visit here every couple of weeks. Whether it is pizza or subs it’s a good place. Very busy, however they’re very friendly and timely. Make sure and stop in!

After finding a menu in our hotel lobby and the fact that they delivered, we gave it a try.
While not the best pizza I’ve ever had, it was certainly not the worst either. It’s a Greek style pizza with a sweet sauce and a mild crust and not too much cheese, overall well balanced. Maybe a little more well done would have made the crust a little better.
The delivery was very quick and the price very fair.

Found this little gem on the way from Gunstock mountain to my hotel. I love Greek pizza and I’ve moved out the area and can never find quality pizza. The friendly owner didn’t disappoint me with a wonderfully crusted pepperoni calzone tonight. The night before I had a salad and baklava. Enjoy!

This review is long overdue… ordered food here this summer. Waited over an hour and a half for the food after driving down to pick it up. It was a big hot MESS!!! The woman behind the counter just kept saying ten more minutes every half hour — we counted 6, YES 6!!!, people cancel their orders and left in disgust. They ran out of a salad which I ordered and i got gross scraps of deuce that was left over and a few random items tossed on. GROSSSSSSS.
So I tried one more time (thinking they were way understaffed and slammed on a fourth of July weekend). This time I ordered a spinach pizza. Well, this is the first restaurant I have ever eaten at that uses frozen spinach on their pizzas, how lazy and cheap, well they did not squeeze all the water out of the spinach. Each bite I took water poured out of the pizza down my face. I couldn’t eat it and put it in the refrigerator, next day I tried to get a slice and the water had saturated the dough and it all feel apart in my hands. I am no longer giving them the benefit of the doubt.

The dining room is in serious need of some updating. The wait was inconveniently long. But the worst part was the pizza itself. Greasy, greasy, greasy. And the crust was disappointing in flavor and texture. I was really hoping to find some local flavor here in the lakes region but I left wondering how they can possibly stay in business.

This is just another weak pizza place clone with incredibly greasy, sucky food that won’t even give you a freaking refill on your drink. I would sell my soul for a place that will bring me a freaking drink and refill it when it’s empty.
I hate this place. The pizza was so greasy and soggy that it practically disintegrated when I picked it up.

Good pizza, good salads and fast and friendly service. Easy to miss, but well worth finding. When we were there, the place was full, the delivery guys very busy, yet we didn’t have to wait long for our order. A little gem.

Nice family owned pizza shop. The food is good, the service is fast and friendly. All the usual pizza and sub fare. They also deliver, major plus! Avoid the chains, shop family owned and operated!

The first time I went there the wait was very long. A couple and we are the only ones there. Could have been a lot of call ins. The next time I called in and took my time getting there and still had to wait. I ordered a small ham and cheese cold. When I got home it was a large warm chicken with hot sauce. OK not going back to wait for the right one so I ate it. Ironically the next time I also ordered a H+C cold and got home to eat a Italian sub. Now I’m wondering what the heck is going on. The last time I went it was a normal wait time and when I got home the suspense was killing me. The sub roulette seemed in full mode by now. Surprise it was what I ordered. And like the others very good.

Good pizza, fast food, and way better then other local pizza joints. Love there fries.
