I can’t wait for my daughter to be off accutane so I can drop this doctors office. They are absolutely incompetent when it comes to patient care. They misinformed me about the process of filling my prescription causing me to have to take my 14 daughter back to the lab and have ANOTHER(three in total at $ 32 each) pregnancy test done because I had missed my window for filling the prescription. They never answer the phone and they do not call back when you do leave a message. They don’t submit things when they say they will. They are not even very polite in the office. Bottom line, don’t choose this doctor because they are at the top of your search results. Spend a few more min to look into the other offices and save yourself time and money.

Be careful a SCAM!!! Advanced dermatology on website appears to be a big organization which claims its products are advanced skincare. What a rip off! Products are no better than dime store products and if you sign up they will send you the same sample size products(they claim lasts a month) and continue to charge over $ 80 monthly. Their customer service is awful and very unwilling to cancel future orders and does not take returns. A total scam!!!

We have all experienced long wait times for all kinds of doctor appointments. However when it’s every single time I come in… That’s a problem. Kara Gooding is amazing. But waiting 30−45+ minutes every time I come into her office before I am even brought back to a room. Just to wait again. Not worth it. How unfortunate and unprofessional. Find yourself a different dermatologist office folks.

I visited Kara for some skin cancer issues. I was very pleased with the work that she did and her referral to an excellent surgeon.

The worst dermatology office in Arizona. I called to get an appointment because a RX could not be renewed without a DR visit. I called the office and was not able to speak with a live body until four phone calls back to the office. When I finally spoke with someone, I was told the next available appointment was three weeks later. I booked it. I asked if I could be put on a wait list in the event that someone cancelled. I was told to call back later. I complied and called back. I left a message on the machine asking for them to call me back. They never did. Guess they don’t need my business! I would steer clear of this office, very unprofessional!!!

I referred myself for a small cyst on my neck, and they scheduled me very quickly. The office staff is very friendly and courteous, and little wait time to be seen. I was seen by a PA, Kara, and she is wonderful. Very professional and kind, and she looked me over, and decided to remove the problem that day! The nurses are great also, all around very pleased.

I thought I’d give this place a try since it seemed professional from it’s webpage & it is conveniently located between my work & home. I called the main number, pressed 4 for an appointment and waited. And waited. And waited. I had to get back to work, so after about 10 minutes of being on-hold(without even hearing a real person’s voice) I hung up. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried again the next day. Same thing. So, then I tried calling the Gilbert location directly. Again, I waited & was able to reach no one. I don’t know if they think people have all the time in the world to make phone calls? I think no more than 5 minutes is a reasonable wait period. And, if goes beyond that, let a real person at least answer and let them know their business is important & that they’ll be with them soon. Well, silly me gives them the benefit of the doubt(again!) and I called the Gilbert office directly today. I waited past 10 minutes, finally got a real person on the phone who then asked me to hold longer. About 3 minutes later, she picked up and attempted to answer my questions. She was rude, asked to put me on hold again and then a different person picked up asking if I wanted to make an appointment! The first lady didn’t even have the courtesy to tell me she was going to have another person assist me… all I knew was that I was on hold… again. Very unprofessional and they don’t seem to value their customers, so they lost my business before they even had it.

I am the mother of a teen– need I say more? I do not miss the age at all, that’s for sure. Hormones, moody, I’ve suddenly become uncool, and of course the breakouts. Unfortunately for her it’s out of control. Our doctor referred us to AAD, and since they had a Gilbert office I figured why not(there are several throughout the valley). The office is easy enough to find– it’s right next to Gilbert Mercy Hospital and that building sticks out in the 202/Val Vista area. The receptionist was pleasant enough, and the assistant who saw my teen was as well. Felt a little impersonal: Get in, quickly diagnose, get your prescription, get out. I wouldn’t have minded a little more personal interaction to make my daughter feel more at ease. We’ll keep going to see them, it is convenient and they take the insurance, so I can overlook the small stuff. If you do try AAD out, be aware of one of the papers they ask you to sign. It’s an ok for them to just automatically take unpaid balances right from your credit card. When I asked them about it they told me it was optional, but it doesn’t say that anywhere on the form. Boy I hope my teen doesn’t read this! It’s not going to score me any points in the«cool» department, that’s for sure! ;-)
