My family has been regular customers of Nina’s for the past six years. We will no longer patronize this establishment. On many instances the staff, especially the owner, have been rude and dismissive. They are unwilling to make simple compromises or substitutions. They blame the customer if there is a mistake on the order. The meat and other items are frozen instead of fresh. Sandwiches are premade, greasy and soggy.

Went to Nina’s for the first time and got a Reese’s peanut butter cup sundae but switched the vanilla ice cream to chocolate. This sundae was amazing! The service was so friendly and fast. I will visit here again soon…

I’ve been going here since I was a little girl. I really like their custard, more than chain ice cream shops for sure(cough cough Anderson’s). I also love their chicken burgers! Nothing about this place is over the top, but I do get Nina’s cravings every now and again and they never disappoint.

Love this place. Not only are they great for ice cream and shakes, but the food is amazing as well! A great family friendly atmosphere weather you feel like sitting outside or inside! Can’t go wrong by picking this place!

This is the only safe place I can go for ice cream because Nina’s has lactose-free soft serve(I love the vanilla with rainbow sprinkles!) and Dole soft serve in fruity flavors(PINEAPPLE is my favorite)! I wish they would offer one regular flavor and one Dole flavor at a time instead of alternating weekly but I guess there aren’t enough lactose intolerant people… And it can be kind of thrilling not knowing what I’ll have to get when I go, haha!

The listed business name is actually a Unilocal typo. The name of the place is «NIN’s Custard» and it’s owned by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. He wrote a song about his own business. It’s called«Closer.» It goes like this. You let me taste and lick you You let me cherry dip you You let me photograph you I think I’m gonna have to… Unilocal you, and photograph your insides Unilocal you, you’ve got ice cream to sell Unilocal you, a baby size cone works for me Help me Unilocal my business myself I wanna slurp it like an animal I wanna see the cone from the inside I wanna cover it in sprinkles My whole ice cream is thawed You get me closer to fat What to get: Vanilla Custard. I stopped by Nina’s just the other day to indecently expose myself. When I did so, nobody batted an eyelid, so, out of frustration, I decided to order from here instead. I got my usual regular plain boring vanilla custard. It wasn’t the best custard I ever had, but it was very good. Definitely one of the better ones in town. Nice and creamy and delicious. It was also dirt cheap since I got a «baby size», and yet the baby size was so big, it was like a «medium», much like that which I exposed to the general public shortly before making my order. I was very upset that I didn’t see Trent Reznor here. But they were offering me frozen custard. Would I bite the hand that feeds me custard? No. Would I stay down on my knees? Yes, for this custard. What. You’ve never been on your knees for some thick creamy custard? I don’t understand the low ratings for Nina’s, but having tried it, I can say that this place has yummy custard, and you should come in and give it a try. Skip Dairy Queen and Cold Stone, which are owned by mega rich corporate types that have no connection to WNY whatsoever, and come here and give your summer dessert money to locals instead. Yum yum. By the way it’s just a few feet north of where Millersport and Campbell intersect in that«X» shape that isn’t quite a «plus» shape. And it’s an excellent spot for exposing oneself prior to ordering. What does an ambulance say when it’s on its way to an emergency? Nina, nina, nina, nina. Let me guess. You don’t get my stupid joke. That’s fine. OK how about this. What kind of cherry do they put on their sundaes here? A «Nina Cherry.» Get it? No? What do you mean it’s «Neneh»? What kind of a name is Neneh? OK I’m confused. Sexually. But seriously. Any place that is named after Trent Reznor’s band must be great. So get yourself down here. And get closer to fat.

Nina’s Custard is an ice cream joint that offers just a bit more to satisfy the kids. They have an extensive ice cream menu that includes sundaes, shakes, lemon ice, cones, non-fat offerings, and a variety of toppings. If you are looking to indulge in a cold snack, this place is sure to have something you’ll enjoy. In addition they have a small grill and serve things like hot dogs, burgers, and fries. The quality of the food is a lot better than a fast food restaurant, but don’t expect a gourmet burger and hand cut fries. Prices are affordable. The interior is great for groups and kids. Bathrooms are clean. Plenty of parking. Family owned and operated, service usually comes with a smile.

Generic ice cream, Perry’s ice cream which is common in this area. The ice cream isn’t homemade so there’s really no way you can mess it up it’s the same brand everywhere. I just remember it’s always cold in there. Which makes sense because it’s an ice cream parlor, but I would like for it to be a little bit more warm. Maybe put in a fireplace area?

When I drove by I thought this was just a diner. I had no idea that it was a custard place(silly right?). Anyway, I figured I go check it out even though I’m more of an ice cream fan. Well… here’s the bottom line… it’s okay. The inside of the place looks pretty bland but the custard is alright. I don’t remember what Anderson’s tastes like so it’s hard to compare but since neither place got logged into my brain as amazing I’m thinking that both are pretty much the same. I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon… unless someone asks to go. I wouldn’t avoid it by any means but nothing I’ll be craving.

Done patronizing Nina’s. My family goes at least once a week. Tonight, our last… I’m sick of the rude people at the counter. I keep thinking it will change. It hasn’t over the last year. Just gets worse. They don’t have name tags so I don’t know the name but I always seem to get the same young guy with facial hair. Rude as can be… And a female worker behind the counter grabbed his rearend right in front of us and other customers. Goodbye Nina’s until management finds employees that can treat customers properly and with a smile.

Went for the first time tonight. My husband had the turtle sundae and I had a lemon-strawberry smoothie. Our dessert came to almost $ 10 and I thought, maybe it’s just the cost of «good quality», which I don’t mind paying for. No. Just no. The pecans in the turtle sunday tasted very old and the smoothie was just not good. Not worth $ 10 at all. Very pricey for low quality food :(

I’ve been going to Nina’s back from when they were just a road-side custard/wow-cow stand. I’ve supported them as they grew into an all-season restaurant and ice cream establishment, and am always tickled to see post-event crowd mob in with their kids(post-recital, post-play, post-graduation, etc). AND… there are things I love about the place… but plenty I no longer do too. The good: — Chicken Burger — tastes like sausage, but all chicken… very tasty! — Hot Dog — they have all-beef jumbo dogs(I don’t do pork. this is good) — Their ½lb burger is tasty — They have«Wow Cow» which is great for those who are lactose-intolerant — They have awesome lemon ice!(I like mixing it with vanilla custard or wow-cow. I call it «Lemon Dream». YUM! — They now take credit card(took them YEARS for this) The not-so-good: — Their onion rings have gone down-hill. and their portions are limited — As another reviewer mentioned, their panini’s are«pre-made». This means if you want *anything* changed on it, you’re SOL. We asked for extra feta on a Mediterranean panini. they said«OK» but didn’t do it. and when we went back after she said«oh, sorry, they are pre-made. would you like to order something different?»(nice offer, but the entire family was already eating. NOT really a good option late at night) — I ordered a ½lb burger. Instead of regular cheese, I asked for feta and was told«sorry, we don’t have feta.» I replied«how can you not have feta, but you put feta on your panini?!»(pointing to the menu) and she replied«oh, well, they are pre-made and we only have limited amounts of it.» WTF. how *un*accomodating?! Really?. My burger arrived with cheddar cheese(or American) on it. and I’m allergic to Cheddar… DOH. whatever. — They always ask if we want a «kids meal» in front of our kid. and it comes with gummy treats… and it really is *not* a bargain… Anyhow… although this place used to be high on my go-to list, sadly it’s towards the bottom these days :-(Food is OK, but the non-service-oriented attitude really has turned us off …

I go to Nina’s about once in a blue moon. It’s close to my friend’s house and to my boyfriend’s parent’s house. I usually get the ice cream. I wish they had more hard ice cream choices. It seems like Anderson’s has a lot more choices. Their soft serve is pretty good too. I also had a fruit punch slushy but I don’t think it was that good. Not enough flavor. Last time I was their, I got their cheese curly fries. I didn’t think they were that good. They were scalding hot and burned the roof of my mouth when I first took a bite. I also think they could have been seasoned a bit. I added some salt but they were still bland. I still will keep coming back to Nina’s. I’ve never had a problem here.

We’ve come to Nina’s many times for ice cream when we’re near by and it’s usually fine. Today we stopped in for dinner/ice cream before seeing a show at UB and it was absolutely awful. Obviously Nina’s isn’t the place you’d go if you wanted a real sit down meal, but we had very little time before the show, and Nina’s happened to be on the way. We figure’d it’d be good for a quick sandwich/burger on our way out the door. Two of us ordered«paninas» and asked if we could get the bread without butter. Answer: no, they’re pre-made. So basically they pre make and pre butter sandwiches and keep them in the fridge until someone orders them. They were incredibly greasy-like, quadruple napkin greasy, and totally not worth eating. We also ordered sweet potato fries. Big mistake– they we cold, dark brown, and again, incredible greasy. To their credit they replaced them with regular fries(and a couple of nasty glares from the employee) after we complained. We tried to put the awful dinner food aside for dessert but when I got chocolate sauce on my Mexican sundae and instead of hot fudge(ew) I was pretty ticked. There were also two employees who were eating with spoons right out if the custard machines for the majority of the time we were there. We will definitely choose Anderson’s or Pautler’s over Nina’s from now on and I would advise others to do the same.

Been to Nina’s Custard several times over the years and always walk away saying the same thing, «I don’t like it.» The servers were cheerful, although the staff doesn’t seem very organized, but willing to get the order together. The hamburger was greasy, the sweet potato fries atrocious and the custard, well, sorry, thumbs down. Perhaps it’s end-of-summer chaos, but the inside tables need a good scrubbing. There is ample parking and spots to park your bicycle, and picnic tables under an awning if you feel like eating outside.
