Kj’s Bar & Grill

Still love this place, but it recently (early 2015?) changed hands back to the original owners.
As much as I loved the chicken before, the original owners recipe is even better.
The atmosphere seems a little more under control and the vibe a bit more friendly.

I love this bar and go there almost every Friday — try there fish fry it’s great :) The original owners are back again as of May 2015 so it’s a back to being a clean, enjoyable bar with very welcoming staff open 10am til midnight during the week and even later on the weekend!
The back of the bar is great for birthday party’s and when they have bands.
Looking forward to the cribbage tournament, golf outings and bus trips to Ho Chunk :)

Hafta agree with Jim’s review, the place is mostly lacking for atmosphere, class, and anything that would make the place worth visiting.
I suppose the chicken is good but I would not eat it there unless I wanted another education on how to use the F-​word 5 times in a single sentence. I’m not kidding about that. The bar area is small and old. The people in the bar are blue collar angry drunks and they are not friendly to non-​regulars. They run a numbers game (for the regulars) which would require a person to go back there for the drawing on Saturday. As if I’d want to go back. I actually went over there one night a few months ago to escape the house. Pulled on the door but they were closed. Owners came charging out and yelling obscenities at me as I was walking away. I couldn’t believe it.
Where I disagree with Jim is on the rating. I know exactly why I rate it 1 star. It’s a bar for the owners and their drunk buddies. Period.
