Ward Hall is a beautiful, not completely restored Greek Revival home located in Georgetown. I visited Ward Hall on Memorial Day of last year with my mother. This historic home is not open every day, so be sure to check the website for their open dates and times. Our guide was an older gentleman who has lived in the area since he was a child, so he had a great perspective on the history of the home. I loved his stories about a previous tour guide from years ago and the misinformation that she used to spread! He took his time sharing information about the house and the family who lived there and was a great storyteller. It was fascinating to me to visit an unrestored house of this time period. The other historic homes that I have visited in this area have all been restored, so seeing one«in progress» was different and cool. We went all the way from the top story to the basement where the kitchen was located.
