So this won’t be my only review for this place because I feel like this review isn’t totally fair. I had gotten my wisdom teeth out earlier in the week and was still struggling with solids but my husband wanted to try this place. I had wanted to try a different Italian restaurant that had more soup options, got the two confused and decided to go. We ordered their version of Spinach Artichoke dip and because of my mouth hurting, I couldn’t really eat it. However the bite I did manage was delicious and my husband really enjoyed it. Their bread is outstanding. And I got their cheese ravioli with meat sauce. Our 8 month old loves the ravioli as did I, I was only able to eat 1 or 2 in the restaurant but ended up being able to eat the left overs a few days later! My only real complaint about this place was the booth we were sitting at. It was completely broken, so when we got up to leave the whole thing almost flipped which was a little nerve racking since it would have flipped on our 8 month old. So overall, not the experience I was hoping for, based on mouth pain(so not their fault), but really good food! Just need to work on making sure their tables are in good shape.

Great food and great service. Nothing frozen here. These people have it spot on. I would have given 5 stars as I think they could have done a better job with the bar. Still great place

My husband and I were in the area. We came in on the Unilocal ratings and pictures alone. We started with mozzarella sticks that were amazing. I had the lasagna bolognese and him the Texas Tornado pizza. Both were delicious. We followed it all with the house tiramisu which is an actual slice of heaven. The service was incredible and everything was fresh and delicious.

Tis the Christmas Season. Downtown Georgetown has their finest holiday window displays out. And this is why we are here. Yes, it has come to this. Window displays. Sometimes you just want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the Trail O Lights in Austin and head out for the sticks… holiday style. Georgetown has that old timey Texan flair. Sort of a Fredricksburg-Lite. Tony and Luigi’s is, we guess, one of the finer dining establishments in town. Located somewhat on the outskirts of the main city center. I like my Italian sauces the way I like my Germans. Tasty and but WAYTOOHEAVY. Case in point: the Veal Scallopini Piccata. Nothing subtle about it. In a way this place seems like Johnny Carino’s older college educated brother who came home to help out dad and got stuck. Yes, he has a few more tricks up his sleeve and goes that extra mile, but he’s still his mother’s son. So, if you like your Italian with a German-American sensibility, this place is for you. Honestly, this place will appeal to most Texans, I think. Let’s talk booze. As with the food, I think the cocktails cater to those whose palates need some extra coaxing. Imagine a Long Island Ice Tea made predominantly with Sprite and you have it. When all was said and done, we enjoyed ourselves. The waitstaff was congenial, the dining room open and friendly. It’s not the North End but one wouldn’t expect it to be. It was a damn satisfying meal one atomic bomb blast from Central Austin.

This is a very nice little Italian that we just discovered after recently moving to the area. We got take out but the restaurant looks really nice and intimate with a good atmosphere so next time we’ll eat in. We started with a caprese salad which wasn’t all that good and was over priced but we followed that with the gnocchi in a tomato Alfredo sauce and ravioli with meat sauce. Both were very good and there were some delicious fresh baked and still hot rolls included to mop up the sauce. I’ll definitely try the other Italian restaurants in the area but if this is the best around then I won’t complain too much

The food was delicious! We walked in, expecting it to be more casual than what it is, but great place. The service could have been better, but everyone has their off days.

Nice atmosphere and prompt service. Not very vegan yet very accommodating. I had a side salad with the house basil vinaigrette, which was executed well. I followed with a gnocchi in a very spicy marinara. Nice. Desserts were not for me and looked to be house made as well. Very good italian when you find yourself in Georgetown.

I love pesto dishes, got the fettuccine with basil pesto and added chicken– absolutely delicious. Hubby had the chicken piccata-lets just say his plate was clear. Our waitstaff was personable, and recommendations were spot on. Definitely will be back to try other dishes :)

This is the ABSOLUTELYBEST Italian restaurant I’ve have EVER been to. Everything on the menu(which I’ve nearly had) is made from scratch and has blown me away. If you can’t decide where to go for Italian, look no further! Tony & Luigi’s will become your favorite too… I promise!

I took a star off for service. We visited twice. First visit my husband made a reservation for us to celebrate my birthday a little early. We went on a Thursday which is when someone sings Frank Sinatra. He ordered pizza and I ordered the spicy chicken pasta. The food is delicious! Our waiter however was weird. He barely spoke to us, he would come check on the table beside ours more often than ours and took forever to bring our check. I even mentioned to my husband that he seemed a little off as if he were on drugs because he would just smile and stare. We didn’t mid him as much as we enjoyed the music and the food. Second visit we also made a reservation but when we arrived they said they didn’t have it down but we still got a table. We took our kids this time and our waitress was really nice but got our orders all mixed up so we had to wait another 20−25mins for them to fix our order. Their food is worth another visit though!

Not the best, but not the worst food I’ve ever tasted. And apparently, you DO need reservations prior to visit. It was my first time there and it was kind of embarrassing. I felt that the staff was uncomfortable. Now, it’s time to be real! That was the most bland tasting mess I have ever had the misfortune of ingesting. The staff appeared to be friendly but that was it!!! The food did not resemble the description. The Caesar salad was the bomb!!! It was actually a Caesar salad. When you can not tell chicken from veal Parmesan, there is a problem especially if you are the one cooking it. Still shaking my head and holding my stomach. Also, the cook managed to wrestle all of the flavor out of the pizza. Pizza yall. Lawd have mercy! Shame on you Tony’s and Luigi’s! Shame on you!

We went here on a whim for an early dinner. We ordered the Fettuccini w/shrimp, Tortellini Alla Verde, Calamari & side salads w/roasted red pepper ranch dressing. This was an absolutely excellent meal. Everything is made from scratch and incredibly fresh. Calamari was fresh with a light, tasty breading. The salad dressing and both pasta sauces had great flavor and the ingredients in each dish pulled together perfect. We ordered cannolis to go for dessert and they were amazing! And the service was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be visiting this restaurant regularly! Highly recommended.

This place is absolutely incredible. It is my all-time favorite restaurant, in every way possible. I have been going here for a long while, but only occasionally due to the fact that it is far away from where I live. But it is definitely worth the long drive for food as amazing as what they have here. I have always liked Italian food, but this place goes far beyond my expectations for an Italian restaurant. The pizza is just perfect, with the most flavorful cheese and toppings I have ever had, in addition to an amazingly soft and tasty crust. The pasta dishes are absolutely delicious too, with a large selection including a spinach gnocchi and fettuccine alfredo, both of which are amazing. And the deserts are incredible too. I especially like the Italian cream cake and chocolate torte. But even the bread served when you first sit down is something to look forward to, as it is served warm and buttery with cream cheese and herbs. But it is not only the food that makes this restaurant so unbelievably great. The service here is excellent, as it is not only quick, but the servers here are the most friendly ones I have ever met. They will treat you like family and will make sure that your meal is all the more enjoyable. In conclusion, Tony and Luigi’s is simply one of the best. The food is amazing and so is the service. If I could give more than 5 stars here, I would.

My first visit I got the veal parm. It came with fettuccine noodles instead of spaghetti. I liked the fettuccine better. The sauce tasted homemade and it was good. I haven’t had a good veal parm in a long time so that was a nice treat. I also like those complimentary little rolls with the herbed butter. Good stuff! Next time in I got the spaghetti bolognese with a side salad with house balsamic vinaigrette. Salad was just average. Nothing to brag about and nothing to bitch about. The bolognese was good. It could have used a bit more garlic and onion for my taste, but, overall it was a good thick sauce and I would do it again. I’ve also done the meat ravioli with spicy marinara sauce and I gotta tell ya, that’s the way to go for sure! One heck of a delicious dish right there and I love the way they made the pasta round with little sunburst edges. Seriously, if you brush the sauce from the pasta it looks like a sun. I also found out on this visit that I like the kalamata feta house made dressing on my salad. We came here on a Thursday night to catch the Sinatra Impersonator from 1800 — 2100. Good stuff the guy does over a hundred Sinatra songs. Really enjoyed him. You should make reservations for Thursday — Saturday as it is their busiest nights. We were able to score a table so no biggy. I got a bottle of Villa Pozzi and ordered some stuffed mushrooms for our appetizer. Dang good stuff right there guys. For main courses we got the stuffed veal and rack of lamb. Another double score! Wine, good food, good friendly service, and good Sinatra make for a perfect supper night out! These guys have a pretty good menu and they make the food from scratch give exception to a couple of the noodles. Overall we’ve liked everything we’ve had and will continue to dine here. This has gotta be Georgetown’s best kept secret! This is a must stop when grubbing in G-town!

My husband, daughter, and I went to Tony and Luigi’s last night on a whim — he had passed it while visiting friends in Georgetown and had been wanting to go. First off, the restaurant is really cute and cozy, they had a singer, who sang very well and at the perfect volume — not too loud, not too soft. There were only a few people in the restaurant and the atmosphere was perfect for a relaxing family night out. We had a couple minutes to look over the menu before a waitress came to take our order, she was very polite, but let us know we would have another waiter and that she was just helping him out. We ordered the Caprese and Calamari to split — my 3-year-old LOVES calamari, so she pretty much wiped it out. My husband, who is very picky with Caprese, devoured almost all of it. The waiter brought us bread, which I never really have, but the whipped cheese-butter was delicious and the bread was prefect. Next, our Caesar salads came out, the house-made dressing was great, the portion was perfect — not too big, not too small, and they even gave us extra dressing since my husband likes a little salad with his dressing. The waiter brought around desserts to a table near us and they looked amazing — the portions were ridiculous. We almost didn’t want our entrees anymore and asked him to bring it back around when we were through. The waiter then brought my daughter’s dinner first, which is what we asked him to do, since she takes a while to eat. She tore up her spaghetti and meatballs like there was no tomorrow. It was so good, it made a 3 year-old silent, which can be hard to do. After we finished our salads, we sat for a while waiting for our entrees. This was the only part that got to my husband, it felt like we waited an eternity, but I kept telling him that it was probably a good thing. Eventually, our entrees came — I had the Pollo Alla Madrid and my husband had the Lamb Shank with Risotto. The portions were huge and upon inspection, we realized we would not be able to do dessert. The Pollo Alla Madrid was rich, the chicken had great flavor, and the artichoke hearts added the perfect touch. My husband’s feelings about having to wait melted away when he tasted his Lamb Shank — it was succulent, perfectly flavored, and it(along with my plate) was well worth the wait. We told the waiter how amazing the lamb shank was and he told us it was the owner’s recipe, apparently the owner spent a long time perfecting it and we could tell. Our waiter was very kind and attentive, he was also knowledgeable about the menu, and ensured all of our needs were met. We couldn’t ask for better service. We left full and happy with leftovers all around. We will definitely be back.

So excited to have found a good Italian restaurant! Since leaving my Italian mother’s cooking back in Boston, I had yet to find decent Italian food here in Austin. I ventured out to Georgetown to meet a friend for dinner and we decided on Tony and Luigi’s. I got high hopes reading the menu as a lot of the items resembled the authentic meals that you would get in Boston’s North End. We started out with the crab cakes. They were thick, full of crab, and with a perfect amount of crispiness. For the entrees, I ordered the eggplant parm. When the server put the dish down in front of me, I knew this was going to be good. Perfectly fried eggplant with a good cheese to sauce ratio. It was served over fettuccine, which tasted and looked home made. The serving size was more than enough for dinner, which is how Italian food should be served. I’m tired of trying these new«fancy» Italian places where you have your meal and are still hungry. Under NO circumstances should you ever leave an Italian kitchen hungry. To sum up, great food, good service and atmosphere, I will be back!

Nice Italian place in Geogetowm run by a friendly family from eastern europe I think(can’t remember the country). The stuffed manicotti with the red pepper sauce is delicious. Other items pretty good like fried calamari. Osso bucco was ok, but I’ve had better like at Trattoria Lisina in Driftwood(yep, far away!). Avoid the Thursday nights when their«singer» imitating Sinatra is there. He is loud, and pretty out of tune…
