My meal took over 50 minutes to arrive! Because they most likely forgot my order! Wouldn’t recommend. Overall, the food was alright.

The girl that is always working drive thru,(Kennedy) is always so polite and friendly! Everytime I go through the drive thru she is nice and asks if I need anything. Out of all my drive thru experiences with other employees Kennedy has been the best!

Beware of the wet floor sign positioned at the drive through entrance. Apparently the floor of the driving surface is very wet and slippery. If this restaurant isn’t going to open their drive through for business, be honest and just place a sign that says so. «We suck and can’t do business through a window!»

Walked in to order some breakfast tacos. Stood in line as this idiot named WILLIAM tells a lady about nearly being fired for clocking out an hour early. He talks about being homeless living in his car. This is the second time to eat here. Never again. Staff is clueless about customer service. We all have problems so I don’t want to come in as you tell your life story to a stranger.

I went through the drive thru this morning around 6:30AM. I assumed this visit would go well since their drive thru was actually up and running. I placed my order and drove up to the next window. I watched the guy that took my order make my tacos WITHOUTGLOVES!!! He was reaching into the cheese with bare hands. When he reached out to take my money, I asked him if he was supposed to be wearing gloves to make the food. He said that he washed his hands. Somehow he was able to wash his hands, thoroughly dry them, and start making my food in the time it took me to drive up to the window. I told him I didn’t want those tacos. He said, «You don’t have to take them.» And shrugged his shoulders like«I don’t care.» He never offered to make new tacos with gloves. My options were: 1. Take the dirty tacos or 2. Leave without breakfast. I chose option 2.

This used to be the best Taco Cabana around. That said… not so much anymore. It used to be my morning stop for a breakfast taco. Not anymore. Most often these days the drive thru is closed. I receive various excuses when I walk in and ask about it… «the drive thru employees aren’t here yet», «I’m here by myself and can’t run the front and the drive thru», «the drive thru equipment isn’t working»…etc. While I think these are rather poor excuses, I can see where they might have trouble keeping staff that wants to come in to work at 5am. Yesterday’s experience cost them another star. I was in a hurry. Needed some quick breakfast tacos to keep us on the road. I swung by at 10am(it was Sunday mind you) and the drive thru was CLOSED. There was a fairly long line inside the restaurant so we just went on our way and didn’t go in. Then this evening I gave it one more chance. I thought I would stop by on my way home from work. At 5pm the drive thru was CLOSED. This is becoming a regular thing with this location. Not enough staff, drive thru never open… oh, and did I mention the gnats that were flying around by the fountain drink machines? That is what I experienced the last time I walked inside for service. I gave them two stars for two employees who really try to make your visit as pleasant as possible. There is an African American gentleman who works most mornings and tries to make sure everyone is taken care of … I do not know his name. And there is a lady name Cheryl who also works mornings, is very friendly and does her best to keep customers happy in spite of the challenges of the store and staffing. Kudos to those two.

Despite explaining TWICE I just wanted the taco plate with two CRISPY tacos, when I got home the tacos were wrapped in a spongy, gooey flour tortilla. The rice and beans were flavorless. I threw out the whole mess and wasted 6 bucks. Ok, I didn’t expect much but got even less. Never again! Bleech!

I don’t know what keeps this location open but it will no longer be because I visit it. Tonight was my second visit where I was told in the drive-through that the drive-through was closed. The first time this happened it resulted in me going in the store in my pajamas. Tonight I went inside with my small child. My entire reason for going to Taco Cabana this evening was so that I could pick up dinner without getting out of the car. Once I got inside there was a line. When I got up to the register there was a sign taped to the register that said«out of tamales». Last time they were out of sopapillas. I ordered my food was given a number and waited. I took my plastic up to the soda machine to fill it up with ice and soda. I could not get the ice to dispense from the machine. I went back to the register and asked for a glass of ice. The manager asked a woman who works there to help me. She told me «yes there is ice». Then she showed me you have to hip check the soda machine to get the ice to dispense. Didn’t check my order at the store. Should have. Oh great. Now I’m home and they gave my a quesadilla kids meal instead of an enchilada kids meal.

The best description that I can come up with is — you get what you pay for. The food is good when it’s done right. More often than not the breakfast tacos are very small and wrong. I also have a major issue with any Mexican food restaurant charging for chips and salsa. That is just ridiculous. It is cheap which is good, but sometimes I would like my food within 15 minutes of ordering it. If I was at a sit down place that would be expected, but it is tacos and burritos for a fast food place. Not okay. I also have to say that the staff needs some work on their customer service. They tend to be on the rude side and it seems like they are frustrated with working here. I have been waiting for over 20 minutes for breakfast tacos. I don’t think I’ll be returning.

I agree with the other recent posts. I sat at the drive through for quite a while before my order was ever taken! The girl was very rude taking my order. Then I waited even longer and there was only one car ahead of me. We visit taco cabana pretty regularly but I will not come to this location again.

It’s good for fast food. I’ve read through the reviews, and am confused, this is not a nice sit down restaurant, it’s just basic fast food. I find that it’s good fast food, but still just exactly that. Don’t expect Papacitos. Their breakfast tacos are fair, I like their flautas, the chick fajita tacos are good, their nachos are gross. I do not like their guacamole. TIPS: check your to go orders, they often make mistakes(MANYMISTAKES).

I would have given this place a higher rating if it hadn’t been for my last visit. I went through the drive through at 5:00 pm on a Thursday, needing to pick up something quick since I didn’t have much time. I ordered 8 tacos, 2 of them combos with drinks. At the window they gave me the two drinks. I waited for the food, the kid at the window tossed it out to me and shut the window. No receipt, no salsa, no thank you. HALF the tacos were wrong and they left out 2 of the 3 orders of chips and queso. I pulled back through, handed them back their tacos and explained what was wrong. They didn’t listen to me and the teenager that looked to be in charge then instructed another kid to charge me more money. I told them no, they were just going to fix my order. They asked me to pull forward, where I waited almost another 10 minutes FOR4 tacos, and they never came back out! I went in, mad at this point, waited for them to make those 4 tacos, finally got them and left. Ended up 2 of those 4 tacos were still wrong! It took me a total of 25 minutes INTHEDRIVETHROUGH. Nope, will not go back there again. I like their tortillas, but not enough to put up with that crap. 1 star is too many.

I love Taco Cabana and my wife and I eat there often. Unfortunately, this location is poorly maintained and the service is very bad. I’m not sure why Taco Cabana Corporation allows such a low level of quality. The Georgetown location has been run with a low level of quality since it was built. The store never feels clean, the employees are poorly trained and inattentive. I recommend you avoid this location.

Not bad. What I expected. The service prompt and friendly. I ordered two ½ lb fajita dinners to go. One chicken, one steak. The delay was because my timing was awful. Came in behind a lot of folks who were eating in. The place was clean, the salsa bar wiped down, so no complaints there. I do like that they offer a military discount which makes a decent value change to very good value.
