Jimmy John’s

While making a simple request during a delivery order I was told «we can’t do that», and as I civilly tried to ask why the request was problematic I was told «I decide what we can and can’t do, and we won’t do that»… I used to go here weekly, but never again.

I eat at this location at least once a week. The first time I dined in I asked the manager, short, heavy set Hispanic man, which sandwich I should order. I only wanted bread, Turkey, and peppers so I asked if I get the Skinny plus peppers or get the giant and remove the produce. He said I could get the Skinny and add peppers. I have gone weekly and ordered the same sandwich and he NEVER gives me the receipt. I had a feeling he was charging me for the other and just lyeing about it. On this day the girl helped me and actually charged me for the Skinny, gave me a receipt and I had proof. He then threatens to fire her and I can hear him while I am trying to enjoy my lunch. If he had been honest on my first visit this would never have been an issue. This man was being deliberately deceitful. He is a thief and should be fired. I have never had such horrible customer service. Hopefully the n owner of this location will take action to prevent him from stealing from others.

I ordered from this location and what I got was delivered 40 minutes later after I had called the store and they said their driver went to my apt but I didn’t pick up my phone 20 minutes prior then told me he had personally called me as well and got the line was busy… after the call I looked and sure enough no missed calls from anyone then my fiancé calls me and asks me when the food will be here because she has been waiting outside for the last 20 minutes and sure enough no one has stopped in front of my building. I really like Jimmy john’s however I don’t know if I will give this one a second chance.

This is my last visit to this Jimmy Johns store. The cashier handed us our soda cups by grasping the rim with her fingers inside the cup! I complained and asked for a new cup. She looked at me like I was an idiot. Then one of the kids spilled there drink and the same gal was sweeping. We asked for a rag to wipe the table but she never brought one. She just went about sweeping the floor.
While we tried to wipe up the mess one of the kids dropped their sandwich. I went up and bought another sandwich and explained to the manager what happen. No assistance offered at all. We whipped the table put 20 napkins down on the floor. Still no help. The gal swiping put the broom away and filled her cup and left with her free sandwich .
Zero customer service here for the 48.67 we spent. Oh and God for bid don’t let your 10 year old ask for lettuce on a slim 5. Can’t have it your way at Jimmy Johns! Take the kids for tacos they will have more fun!

Total ripoff. 6.19 for a turkey sandwich plus 1.50 for cheese, $ 2 for a medium drink and 1.79 for a bag of chips???
This location is at least 20% higher in cost than other JJ locations

I personally had a good experience here as far as customer service. The staff was friendly and my sandwich was ready in minutes. What I didn’t like was the sandwich. I had ordered the #3 which is a tuna sandwich and I felt that the tuna was dry and didn’t have much taste to it. Also the sandwich in general didn’t have much sauce. I’m not sure how their other sandwiches are but based on this experience I will probably go else where next time.

Ordered about 6 or 7 sandwiches via the website at lunchtime on a Saturday for a group while getting ready for a wedding. The order was made quickly and was completely accurate! Exactly what we needed before a long day of wedding shananigans!

This location is wonderful and the staff is always freaky fast and friendly! Of all the times I’ve come here (I go here about 3 times a month), I have only gotten 2 or 3 dull/​stale sandwiches. Its a busy location and it seems they can keep up with the demand.

Never order delivery through this store. I can’t speak for the in store experience but the delivery service is awful. I stopped ordering from them about 6 months ago. EVERY single time I ordered, they not only screwed up my order but there was always something else that happened. For example, one time I ordered the delivery kid said he couldn’t make change for a 20… Delivery always takes over an hour. The kid that delivers it always say «she gave me the wrong address.» Horrible.

After years of bad experiences at this location, it looks like it as improved quite a bit.
After many bad experiences from 2004-​?, we started going to the Batavia location. The Batavia location shut down a few weeks ago, so we have started going to this location.
It is much much better than it was in the past, but still not a smooth as most Jimmy John’s that I go to while traveling.
Food was excellent. Music was at a great level (many Jimmy John’s make you feel like you are sitting in the middle of a rock concert). Restaurant was clean and well lit. Very easy to find close parking versus all of the other restaurants and Geneva Commons.
Service was okay, but not really up to Jimmy John’s standards. The order taker wasn’t really paying attention and we had to review our simple order several times before he got it, but he did get it right in the end. Sandwiches came in a reasonable amount of time, but not as fast as most Jimmy John’s.
So not the greatest Jimmy John’s out there and I will admit I am biased because of my multiple bad experiences of the past (still having horrible flashbacks as I am typing!) but more than acceptable for a Jimmy John’s or any standard chain sandwich shop. So I’d say give it try and report back so we see where it goes.

45 minutes for a cold sub when I live 5 minutes away is ridiculous! First and last time ordering from here

Placed an order tonight, at 7:00 pm for deliveray. The order was a total of a sandwich, a soda and chips. I was at work, or otherwise would have simply picked it up, thus needed delivery. Where I work is TRULY a 5 minute drive. I was told, Freaky Fast Jimmie Johns would be able to get it to me in about 30 minutes. I repeated questioningly and stated I was simply down the corner, and the reply was longest it would be 30 minutes. 45 minutes later, I call to find an update on my meal — at which point they say its on the way and should be there in 5 minutes. 8:00 my phone rings from the driver asking where I’m located as the address is not in his GPS [mind you, the address is a business address!], to which I have to provide directions — its one turn and just down the street! At about 5 after, the driver walks in and as he hands me the bag states he just realized that who ever bagger was neglected to put in the chips… and that he could drive them back. I informed him that this was kind of ridiculous — that this was a five minute drive that took over an hour and my order was messed up. I took down the mangers names [and will call to share my complaint] and told him I could not wait another hour for my chips as our store closes soon… I asked him if they were busy and he stated he had all kinds of deleviers tonight, to which my reply was then it sounds like another driver should be hired or called in… Needless to say, and I realize I’m only one customer, but I’ll not be returning to this Jimmie Johns. If I didn’t know better, there was a handful of high school or just out of high schools working there tonight — and I use the term working quite loosely. Sadly disappointed.

So … I have to admit I frequent this sub shop. A lot. I get one of two things … A Club Lulu or a Bootlegger. Sometimes I throw in a bag of chips cause I like to mix it up. But make no mistake — the sandwiches are good. Fresh baked bread, simple fresh ingredients — what’s not to like. Try them you will like them.

There is not another better sandwich place out there. The Geneva location has fast and friendly service.

After a lackluster experience at another Jimmy John’s, I was turned off by the chain. However, my experiences with the Geneva Jimmy John’s location have put the chain back in my good graces. Courteous service, and the sandwiches have tasted better than what I could make in my kitchen (the problem I had at another Jimmy John’s). There are some local delis that have better sandwiches than Jimmy John’s, but I still consider it a good choice.
