Express

After a long goose chase through Geneva, Batavia, St. Charles, Aurora, and other surrounding towns, I finally found what I was looking for; a waist belt. Late August, apparently brightly colored waist belts are no longer in style or in season (though now that it’s September, I’ve found them everywhere again). I was specifically looking for something bright colored and came in near closing time. Luckily, they had a red waist belt for $ 20 and after a long night of searching, I found it. Definitely more than I would usually spend on a waist belt (I’m frugal, ok?) but it had to be done. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

I went into this location looking for a jumpsuit (specific, I know) 20 minutes before these guys closed. And they were AMAZING. Found a great jumpsuit, they ordered another size for me online, and the customer service was impeccable. Lauren was so so so helpful and the other gals equally supportive and friendly. What a great team!

Not in love with this location– but I do like it a lot. And as the other reviewer mentioned, a big part of that reason is Jordan.
First of all, what a sweetheart! I came in and realized I had lost an earring only a couple minutes after being there and he helped me look for it. I’m glad someone else takes accessorizing as seriously as I do. I did find the earring (in the parking lot, ew).
Not only was Jordan helpful with my earring conundrum, I observed his pleasant nature with other customers as well upon a return visit (he was trying sweaters on to help this older lady, how nice)!!
The other staffers are generally nice and helpful as well, and they always appear to be busy organizing the store or assisting customers. The only thing that keeps this from being a 5 star environment is the stock– I wish they had more of what they have in sizes I need! I feel like a lot of times I go here and all that’s left are 00÷0÷8÷10. Not helpful.
Overall Express is a little pricey for the quality of the items, I’ve been buying nothing but Editor pants for work since I worked at Express (2003), and I’ve noticed that the hems are always falling out. I also recently purchased a top from here and it ripped the second time I wore it. Since I was within thirty days and had the receipt, I came in and exchanged it no problem, but I’m just saying. their quality should be better than H&M and Forever 21 since it’s a a higher price point. but it’s not.
I’m sure I’ll shop here forever, but Express overall needs to step up their quality or drop their prices.

I don’t really write reviews for retail stores, but I had such a great experience here.
I couldn’t seem to pick out a good gift for a friend and I guess the clueless expression on my face gave that away. An associate came over and offered assistance. He had such great taste and was so kind and even funny, he made my experience at Express a good one. Thanks, Jordan!
