I’m a big fan of NY&Co for my cubicle attire. Would I rather be wearing flip flops and jeans to work? Hell yeah, but according to regulation 2.9 section 3A blah, blah, blah. being comfortable at work is prohibited and because it’s important what my desk thinks of my attire. Anyway, was pleasantly surprised to see a NY&Co in Geneva Commons. Picked up a bunch of great shirts, some pants for around $ 6.00 which were deeply clearanced out and some other«career attire». They had a pretty good selection of tops and pants. They also had some cute dresses and skirts. Their pants are comfortable, look good on, feel good and come in short length. The gals checking me out were cool girls and cool in that non– phony, corporate manual handbook way. They were chatting me up about the area, what brought me to the area etc. Enter J, waiting patiently for me to get done shopping. He starts chatting with the girls about where NY&Co was from and what corporation they were under etc. After we were all done interrogating each other with questions, they handed me my newly work approved attire and we were on our way. I enjoy cool and genuine girls working in customer service like these gals were. It’s the promotion happy ones and the ones permeating with attitude for no apparent reason that I can’t handle. Nice selection of music playing to shop to.
