A fun, low-key little pub in the mountains. … Very cozy on a foggy, rainy day. We had points of excellent beer from both England and local craft breweries, and snacked on fish and chips — delicious. Staff was super friendly.

Our new favorite Gatlinburg spot. Off the beaten path, welcoming, dog-friendly. Huge portions of authentic and flavorful British food at very affordable prices. I think we spent about $ 35 for four meals’ worth of food, plus soda and tea.

Looking for a cute out of the way authentic British pub? In the countryside near Gatlinburg Tennessee? This is it! Huge selection of unique beers and a short but interesting menu. I had the chicken tenders appetizer, which happens to come with chips(fries). This appetizer was a meal and plenty to fill me! The chicken was delightful and the atmosphere interesting making for a unique dining experience!

This is as authentic as English food gets in America. The food is made fresh to order, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is very cool, and the beer selection is quite extensive. I had the poacher roll and my husband had the steak and mushroom pie. The pastry crust is every bit as delicious as the filling. We will most certainly stop in every time we visit Gatlinburg.

Outstanding food and service. It’s worth the trip off the beaten path to eat at this fantastic pub with a small, but delicious menu. It was a bonus, too, that they allowed our dog to be with us out on the patio. The server was excellent as well, which was much appreciated after having a string of terrible service at other places in Gatlinburg. When my wife and I return to Gatlinburg in the future, this will definitely be a place we eat at again.

Was very good food and good service first time I came here, but that was a few years back, This time round it was a Very very disappointing visit, they really need To employ at least one member of wait staff, to go along with the Owner/cook, and one bar tender. Took forever to take our drink order, managed To get that wrong, don’t know if it was because The beers had travelled 1000’s of miles or if they had been Brewed in the US, but both of the Ones I tried were nothing like I remember from Back in England. The food, well a disappointment also, there were 4 of us in our group, my meal came out before Everyone else’s then 2 more came out and by the Time I had almost finished mine, my wife’s Meal came out. The steak n mushroom pie I had was very good But the chips(French fries) were burnt and Looked and tasted like they were cooked 30mins before and then just left on a hot plate To stay warm. 2 steep sets of stairs to get into the bar, so not To good for anyone elderly or in a wheelchair.

Wanting to try the«local flair,» we stopped at this«tavern.» It is a dive place, with filthy tables, and nasty couches. The patio was disgusting, but dog friendly. We tried to look past the filth, but the food was just as bad. My daughter didn’t even eat(smart girl), and both my husband and I felt sick after eating less than half our plates. We asked for dog water when we sat down(had our mutts with us), but the server only FINALLY brought dog water when he brought the check. By then, I had already gone to the car to get a bottle of water and a dish from our trunk. Skip this place. Slow service, filthy(NASTY), and bad food.

We found this place on Unilocal. It was located off the beaten tourist trap path. The service was ok, not much chatting or friendly smiles to be found. We came in first but others were greeted and served before us. We ordered the Scotch Egg, and were pleasantly surprised that it was good. It came with some mustard, and was tasty. There was a pup(Husky type-dog) on the porch that greeted everyone that came up. My husband got the Fish and chips and found they were both greasy. I had the Chicken Pie with chips(fries) and thought it tasted good, but my fries were a bit greasy as well. The specialty beers were interesting to try as well.

Hands down the best place for food and beer in Gatlinburg. Huge selection of craft beer. Delicious and authentic British food. We tried the fish and chips, steak and mushroom pie, and pretzel with beer cheese appetizer. All amazing and highly recommend. Everything homemade.

A great and«real» English Pub out in the country away from Myrtle Beach in the mountains. Many thanks to the owners Brian & Dana. We ate there last night and each of us had the fish and chips(12.95). The chips are not cut until you order you meal! All the food is of British fare and quite affordable. Everything is made in house. They even make their own bangers as that was a special the night we dined! Bangers and mashed… Brian actually offered me a job. Wish I could, but need to wait. Excellent beer selection and great personal service in this little charming establishment If you want an unforgettable experience, then this is the place for you. Just plain simple English pub fare. Thank you so much Brian & Dana. I m looking forward to seeing you once again. I would love to brew some beer with you Brian. We simply cannot wait to return to enjoy the home style atmosphere. Very kid friendly. It is like eating in your own living rom. The walls are covered in English memorabilia and they only play British tunes!

If you like beer and amazing food, than this is the place for you. It’s definitely off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. The atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the owner/chef was very kind and engaging. If you like fish and chips, then this place will ruin all other fish n chips from anywhere else. It is by FAR the best fish n chips I’ve ever had. Great fish, excellent batter, perfect fish to batter ratio. Seriously, it’s amazing. My husband and I had this five years ago and hadn’t been back to the area since, five years later and it’s still the best fish n chips ever. They also have a lot of great beers on draft in addition to even more bottled options This last time we had our two kids with us, a 3 yr old and a 1 ½ yr old. It’s family friendly and a really relaxed environment. They even had a cabinet full of toys and didn’t mind our kids playing with them on the rug on the floor. The owner, who is also the chef, lives next door and it’s apparent that he puts his heart into this restaurant. You won’t regret coming here.

So worth the drive away from downtown Gatlinburg! After a long day of sightseeing and hiking through the Great Smokies, we decided to have dinner here since all the places downtown had wait-times of 30 min+. We were seated immediately and the food was out very quickly. My parents and I loved the British pub décor and the beer selection on tap was very impressive.

Based on others’ recommendations that the Fox and Parrot Tavern was kid-friendly, we came here during our vacation. It was a weekday, fairly early, and we were the only diners in the place. That was a little strange! The guy tending the place was nice, although there were only two high chairs available(we have twins). The food was pretty average English pub food– certainly a novelty for the Smokies area. I didn’t fall in love with it, but I ate it. Also, note there are about two flights of stairs to reach the tavern. Keep this in mind with wheelchairs or strollers.

If there is one stand out as far as food goes on our trip to Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains it was the Fox and Parrot! Hidden on the back roads outside of town on Gatlinburg’s historic art trail is an authentic British Pub! This place is so authentic that the local Europeans stop in all the time making it feel as if your actually somewhere outside the states. On our visit we started out with an appetizer of Chips and Cheese which is British style potato wedges served with spicy beer cheese. Absolutely Delicious! Everyone in our party then got the Fish and Chips for Dinner. This my friends is as authentic as you are going to find in the USA for British Fish and Chips. Full of flavor, and just plain amazing. Some highlights to the Fox and Parrot apart from the delicious food are the amazing atmosphere, and hospitality toward families. The fox and Parrot offer a whole cabinet of coloring books, and toys for the kids in the family. The big plus for the adults is the Giant selection of European style Brews! Lots of Brews you don’t normally find on tap are readily available. They also have a large selection of bottled beers as well. The owner of the Fox and Parrot takes his restaurant serious, and knows quite a bit about Europe as well as their Beer and Foods. He is also a very comical individual who makes the atmosphere great as well. Overall Their is no better place to grab a bite to eat while in Gatlinburg this is truly a hidden gem that I will return to anytime I’m in the area! If your looking to get off the strip and have a great meal with great atmosphere look no further than the Fox and Parrot Tavern! Cheers!

Since Spring break is around my birthday, and we usually head to Gatlinburg for vacation, this is my favorite birthday stop. It’s located along the craft trail, and is set back from the road a bit. The tavern is located on the second floor, which means climbing two set of steps(ground floor, 1st and 2nd). The inside is an eclectic pub like atmosphere, which includes a big screen tele and a couple of couches, plus several tables, the bar, and some outside deck seating. They offer something like 83 different beers, and a simple food menu plus specials. The prices are the best we’ve found in Gatlinburg. Everything is hand made and so occasionally they may run out of something popular that day. Dinners take time to prepare, and the cook won’t rush, so just enjoy the atmosphere, have a couple of pints and play some darts while you wait.
