Service can be a little spotty and snotty, and prices are average to high, but honestly, the selection is pretty great, especially for Gatlinburg. We always stop in to stock our cabin at the beginning of our vacation, and they always have a great selection of wine, including Opus One and others. The store isn’t huge, but they have a decent beer selection and a number of bourbons we can’t get in North Carolina like Noah’s Mill. Easy parking helps seal the deal for us, and they take Visa and MasterCard.

There is almost no beer or wine in the place, and the liquor is all definitely more expensive than normal. They have the big name brands, but only at a 25−30% mark-​up. Also, it’s way better to buy your mixers elsewhere. They don’t have much other than your typical colas.

I just want to add a side note to Tara’s comment above. That’s highly unusual that no one said hello, and as for the beer selection well that’s because the laws are different in TN. it requires a totally different license to carry most beers. In TN get your beer at the grocery store and your liquor at an amazing place like the Gatlinburg Package Store.

When we visited the package store, not a single employee out of the four or five that were there said hello or asked us if we needed help. The beer selection is nearly non-​existent, and the prices of wine are outrageous. One wine that I often buy at home (in Chicago) for around $ 18-​$ 20 was priced $ 30 here. Outrageous! Avoid this store if at all possible. There are several other good liqour stores in the area.
