Amazing food and great service. Excellent chips and homemade salsa. We had a fairly large group, but the service was quick and very friendly. It’s right across from the Ripley’s aquarium, so it’s really convenient too. Definitely would recommend!

I went with my three friends and we ordered various kinds of tacos and burritos. The nachos and salsa are on the house and the price of soft drinks is $ 2.50. I had the taco burrito and its juicy with rice side and stuff. It was good.

First night in Gatlinburg, and after a street ultimate rude in, we decided to keep it easy and eat out. On a tip from a friend, we went to Joe’s in the middle of a thunderstorm. To fry this empanada succinctly, there were two loves and two hates. Odio 1: After 45 minutes of waiting outside, we finally asked if we were soon. We had listened attentively for the duration, and had never heard anything close to «Jen, 5?» Hiwever, the hostess now could not find mis nombre, and she looked at another table as if they had taken our table. Whatever… annoying. We could have sat in the lobby all night! We did get a table soon after, but not before the damage was done. Me gusta, 1: after the table seating debacle, we placed our order with the waiter, and before I could get back from washing my hands, the food was already on the table. Which makes me wonder if it was pre-prepared in the back, waiting for someone to order it. Super fast food delivery. Me gusta 2: Food was pretty good. I had carnutas, which were prepared well; wife had fajita, also seasoned well; kids had taco salad and assorted tacoey things, all good. No complaints. Chips and salsa was also prepared freshly. Odio 2: our waiter, who had brought food out swiftly, who had kept refills filled, and was fun to work with, let us sit for 20 minutes before offering up dessert and the check. Then, he disappeared for a few more before finally returning. So close to making up for the seating error, but annoyance stole the forgiveness show once again. The pendulum swingeth again. So, it boils down to whether the food is worth the potential pitfalls in service. With the plethora of eating options within a banjo’s throw of Jose’s, I’d say I’d pass on this establishment upon future trips.

We accidently landed up here, as the place we wanted to eat was crowded and had a waiting time for about two hours. It was a wink of furtuna as this is a great and authentic place. As soon as we entered the place, we were seated and as soon as we were seated, the waiter asked for our drinks. I never ever got drinks served so quick and even the food was served extreme fast. The place was also crowded and I think the longest time we have waited for the dessert and the sundae was HUGE!!! We waited for maybe 10 min and it took us hours to eat it. One star minus, as we got the check without being asked if we like something else /more. I will definately try to come again, if I will ever be in this region again ;-)

We always try to find some place new and different to eat on our travels and this was an excellent find, that apparently everyone else knew about. Food was great and service excellent!

Very rarely do I give such a low score review, however the Mexican food here was below average even for bad Mexican food. Salsa was oily and watery, not much flavor, free so can’t complain too much. I ordered the sampler appetizer and the«outrageous burrito» and was very disappointed with the flavorless food that arrived. Don’t know if I was just unlucky to get such bad food here but wouldn’t even eat the leftovers if I was drunk. Hopefully your experience is better than mine, otherwise If you don’t like to gamble, id move along past this one and find something else to eat.

The Ultimate Taco is on point! Without a doubt the best $ 3 taco I’ve ever had! Decently priced with large portions in Gatlinburg. Service was average, but the food was fast & delicious. Can’t beat it.

Food was reasonably priced and with adequate portions. Taste was fine, which is all I ask. The décor was typical Mexican restaurant. We sat in a booth and the table was leaning downward. Not a big deal, but kinda weird.

The best thing I had was the chips & salsa! No beer on draft. My bloody Mary was nice looking and tasty but very weak on vodka. Vegetarian burritos were pretty boring!

While traveling through the eastern part of Tennessee I planned on a quick stop in Gatlinburg for trout fishing and a little lunch before heading back in North Carolina. Having eaten at this establishment several years back it’s just on the edge of the main strip had a time parking lot which means it’s convenient that getting into the difficult mix of finding parking what your deep into the strip. Have a nice covered outdoor seating area right by the stream that runs along town. I had a few beers chips and salsa as well as some con queso and shrimp tacos which were very good and more than enough food to eat All and all a recommendation for a Mexican meal in this town

This was our second visit to a no way Jose. The food was most excellent and clearly demonstrates that everything is homemade with top quality ingredients. I had the Chicken Fajita Burrito and my wife had one of the combination plates. Everything was delicious and was well worth ordering again. There’s something about their chips and salsa. It’s not uncommon to have fresh chips and salsa at main Mexican restaurants but theirs is a touch above. Great flavor and quality. My wife had a margarita and it was good with a reasonable price, but nothing spectacular. Unfortunately the service on our visit left something to be desired. Our waiter was slow to visit and we had to wait almost fifteen minutes to order. We’re glad we waited and would do so again, hopefully it was just an oddity of this visit. We’ll be back again on our next visit to the area.

Fresh Mexican food made in the middle of the Gateway to the Smokey Mountains. Friendly quick service provides classic dishes you are all familiar with. Even the salsa appears to be made fresh. Generous servings and reasonable prices. Enjoy.

So the high rating is mostly for the fantastic prices, the food was good and the margarita just as yummy so for two full meals with multiple drinks, we paid less than $ 40.(I am from South Florida, i am not used to that). One thing i didn’t like, was that we were a party of 13 and they didn’t sit us together.(they separated us) strange. I ordered the steak fajita salad,(the salad doesn’t come with a unique dressing just regular ranch or balsamic vinaigrette(weird for a Mexican restaurant) so i just used the side of guacamole i ordered as my dressing.) The hubby ordered the enchilada, taco, and stuffed chili combo. Both were tasty with good portions. The margaritas were delicious. highly recommend.

Not a cilantro leaf in any of my food. This is a good thing! I ordered the steak fajitas and told them to burn the onions and peppers, another good thing! I will definitely be back next trip! This is a great stop right next to Ripley’s Aquarium.

Now, this place is a great place to go eat true authentic Mexican food. Everything is fresh and made to order. It’s a nice clean restaurant, the staff is Friendly/courteous, and quick! It’s handicap accessible and a great place for Families. They have a great menu along with a children’s menu as well. We absolutely love this place and will continue to eat here when we visit Gatlinburg. So, if you’re ever in Gatlinburg stop in and have you some great food.

Mixed review. Our waiter was slow. But when he finally got our order, service was fast. Refills took forever and we had to ask every time we needed one. I had chicken fajita burrito chimied, it was great! Salsa was bland, rice and beans were bland. My daughter loved her kids beef and been burrito. My sons had the steak fajita Nachos, they liked them. BUTTHEREWASVERYLITTLESTEAK in them. Hubby had the steak, shrimp and chicken fajitas and loved them. Overall, food was good to great. Service, ehh. Could use lots of improvement. Manager did come to tell table to check on us, but didn’t even make eye contact… Don’t think she really cared.

No Way Jose would I EVER go back! Just when I was starting to think that I giving out too many 5 star reviews too easy… I had a one star experience to assure me my expectations aren’t that low. My two friends and I arrived and approached the hostess stand to be seated. It was a beautiful day and so we asked for outside seating. The hostess looked my friends and me up and down and said«there’s outside seating but you have to be 21» in a snotty little voice(um thanks for the backhanded compliment about my friends and I looking so young) but um, we’re all over 25. STRIKE1. Easily brushed off, we went out to the patio/outside area and sat ourselves… and waited for 5 minutes before our waitress came to our table. Didn’t introduce herself. Asked for our drinks and asked if we wanted a food menu(um, yes… this is a restaurant. We want food!). Waited for about 7 minutes for water and menus… Waited for another 12 minutes for her to come back and take our order and to bring out drinks. At this point we aren’t too bothered and my friends and I are just enjoying ourselves. But the food took quite a while! Like I’d say 30 minutes for 2 burritos and nachos. STRIKE2. Everyone is supposed to get chips & salsa for free first thing at the table — like every Mexican restaurant ever — and we didn’t get that even though we saw people who arrived after us get the chips. Once we finally got our food I was severely disappointed in my nachos. I’m vegan and so I asked for my nachos with no meat, cheese, or sour cream. Which should have left beans and veggies and salsa. No salsa, no beans, but only lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños, and olives on top of chips… So after waiting and looking out to get our waitress’s attention she came and I let her know I wanted the beans that are listed on the menu for my dish as well as rice and guacamole. STRIKE3! OHYEAH and we all had our dishes at this point WITHOUT silverware. So we were very aware of time as we sat there for 10MOREMINUTES unable to eat as we watched our waitress go to other tables with drinks and answering to other people. STRIKE4. My friends enjoyed their food. I did not and I never have this problem at Mexican restaurants. We all agreed that the«fresh» salsa tasted like tomato juice with diced onions in it. I didn’t realize you could make bad salsa. Once she came back we asked for that free basket of chips that all customers get with any meal — she said that we only get it when we request it… Um ok?! We also had to put our used dishes on a table near us because she never came back to ask how things were… We always had to scan the room for her to get her to come over. And again, it just didn’t seem like other tables were having this problem. Once we finished my friend went to the bathroom and as he looked around for the restroom the hostess was incredibly snarky as my friend said, «umm where are.» And she cut him off to say«the restrooms». Bad attitude. My other friend and I wanted to see if it would happen again so we each went to the bathroom separately making sure we stood in front looking for the bathroom. Sure enough this woman had bad attitudes for all 3 of us as we looked for the bathroom. On the plus side, their bathrooms were clean. STRIKE5!!! Or is this strike 6? When we finnnaaallllyy got our checks I had extra side items added since I asked for actually food on top of my nachos instead of just lettuce. I requested to see a manager because I wanted to discuss the horrible service we got to someone in person but our waitress instantly said«we’re too busy for a manager to come out… Can I just give you a discount?» — I agreed. Overall, this was a TERRIBLE service experience. I’ve been a waitress, most of this was unacceptable and could have been fixed with a smile and some hustle! The outside area was nice, our drinks were good, and the location is easy. But otherwise don’t bother wasting your money here unless you’re too drunk to remember because there are FAR better places to enjoy in Gatlinburg!
