Another 2 year old«moonshine» distillery in Gatlinburg. Flavors are all about the same. Apple pie, cinnamon, etc. Energetic young servers like everywhere lead you through the tasting. Unlike other places they serve their product cold, which is a good way to mask flavor, bad and good. One thing I liked abut Doc Collier is that they had 375ml bottles in addition to the 750s, so you could buy more flavors. I actually got an 8 mini bottle variety pack. Don’t know the size but maybe half the 375 size. Make sure you bring your coupon for a free bottle of water. It helps with the tasting. And bring your ID. You will be carded even if you have a head of gray hair like me.

Jessica was the BEST hostess. She made the visit and tastings most enjoyable. We will be stopping in again before we leave Gatlinburg. Long live Jessica and Doc Colliers. I hope she is ready for us.

Don’t miss this experience. They made a moon shine fan out of me and I’m not a heavy drinker. None taste better.

I found this to be one of the most enjoyable moonshine distilleries in town. The staff greeted us like family and were very informative about the product. As far as the moonshine itself, I found this to have a more crisp and clean finish as compared to other local distilleries. They all had a smooth finish and the fruit flavored moonshines were not overly sweet. Very enjoyable! It’s just past the aquarium, so try not to miss it!

Our group slipped into Doc Collier late in the evening. The Blackberry moonshine and the Peach were my favorites. Peach in particular was very smooth and drinkable. The staff was friendly and fun. Next time, I’ll be trying the Muscadine.

Mediocre moonshine, terrible sales, not friendly. Don’t waste your time, go to the other distilleries and shops that value your money! They talked bad about the other distilleries and the flavors are not as good.

Definitley leave this one off your list. We visited 3 other«moonshine» distilleries while here and had a great time… Until we came here. We were the only people in the place and i could see why now. The bartender was a complete bitch. At first she seemed fine and was making awkward jokes and trying to act like she was the shit. Then when we toasted our buddy she told us to shhhh! Its a bar unbelievable! Then she kicked out of us out for saying the f word. Not even loudly. Wont be coming back here, do yourself a favor and visit the other three.

If I could give them no stars I would. Horrible service. We were here on vacation and really wanted to try them out. Will not go back and will not recommend.

Tried all the moonshine distillery on the strip and Doc Colliers was my favorite. They answered all the questions I had and was very helpful. Would recommend this place to everyone i know. Cant wait to enjoy the bottle i bought on the deck in front of a fire.

This was the third moonshine distillery we went to in Gatlinburg and it was our least favorite. It was not inviting and we actually didn’t even samlpe anything because we felt awkward and out of place. They did not encourage samlping either; they seemed more concerned with stocking the shelves than with customers. If u are looking for a good experience, then go to Olé Smoky or Sugarlands. The only good thing I noticed was they offer a 750 mL and a smaller jug; and u can get the smaller jugs in a four pack.

More friendly and less of a «corporate» feel than the other local moonshine seller in the area, this place made a quick friend out of my wife with free samples and a smooth taste. She bought four bottles… only two made it home after a couple of fun nights in our cabin. Check ‘em out!

I really wanted to give this a 5 star but felt rushed while I was tasting. They never really gave much info or back story on their flavors too. Once the girl that helped us received her sandwich that her coworker brought, she was more interested in that than us. I was about to buy 3 bottles but due to that, I ended up buying form their competitor instead. I did happen to buy a couple of great mason jar lamps that will look great in my man cave. Again, I feel like I entered through a time zone at this store. Old wood floors and walls and the smell is even antique.

This is a must visit when in Tennessee in search of good local craft quality moonshine. This is not the big Olé Smoky multi-million dollar business but it has character and quality in every sample of their moonshine. My group from CA had a most excellent time visiting this location multiple times during our week long stay. If you want quality local craft moonshine unique to the area then visit Doc Collier!

This is the new kid on the block and also my favorite of the moonshiners. It’s a little more out of the way, past the aquarium on the strip across from Cooters and next to the(Now relocated) Hard Rock Café. But it is every bit of the walk down to it! I’ll admit theres a few samples I’ll refuse at the big ones in the middle of the strip, especially if i don’t have something to drink after them. There is absolutely no need here. They don’t have a ton of different ones(yet) but they have 3 solid ones! This is the smoothest moonshine I have ever come across. To be fair I normally(and I’m sure most people) hit these places up for the free samples, and occasionally i’ll buy some. I didn’t even hesitate to get a bottle to bring home from these guys. And the bonus? They offer different sizes! So you can get as little or as much as you’d like! The staff was truly the best people I’ve ever encountered inthe area. They were genuine were interested in having conversations with us instead of just pitching their product. So seriously, travel down the strip a little more and check these guys out! If you’re looking for alcohol they just might be my favorite in Gatlinburg!

I stopped in for the free moonshine tasting but I had a lovely time. The bar tender was funny, the playlist was fantastic and the craft moonshine was great. Normally I need a chaser for straight liquor but they create some quality stuff that stands alone. I ended up buying the rum, my only regret was that I didn’t get more.

Free moonshine tastings! Woot woot! The Blackberry and Peach were tasty enough that we had to bring some home. It was quiet when we went(about 11am) so we were able to walk right in and sample. Server was friendly, courteous, and knowledeable. When in Gatlinburg, TN check it out!

This isn’t the best thing I’ve written, mainly because I’ve been to three moonshine operations in less than two hours – and servings are generous. But here goes: The only craft distillery(a relatively small operation) in Gatlinburg does a great job. And the bartender, Josh,(a Hoosier expat) did a great job telling about the spirits, unlike the larger moonshiners I visited. For instance, the fruit spirits are made with actual fruit, and the whiskey is great for sipping. The whiskey, blackberry & peach moonshines were top notch. And they even label the bottles themselves.

We were in town for the week and almost missed this place. It has a little moonshine bottle on the roof outside. They are right before No Way Jose. Since they are really new I wasn’t expecting much but to my surprise they are now one of my favorites. Their shine was very smooth. They had an apple pie mixer that was good but other flavors and Brandy will be coming soon. Plus they sale little bottles that are easier on the wallet.

They had me at FREE moonshine tastings! They are relatively small(for now) since they are the new kids to the block, but their corn whisky will have you hollerin’ at the moon. Service was outstanding and I was greeted by smiles in every direction. Every whisky they offer at the moment is 80 proof but they do have an apple pie mix in that does not have alcohol(again — for now) that makes that dang whisky taste sooo sweet. I will definitely be coming back here for free samples and to get a bottle to take home!
