Walmart Supercenter

This particular Walmart is a bit old/​outdated with older fixtures and lighting. It could really use a remodel. The parking lot is a weirdly designed jigsaw puzzle. There were half dead Christmas trees with half their needles out front marked on clearance. In their favor, the product I needed was up front on an additional display of popular holiday items and there was no waiting at checkout.

I wish more folks would post reviews about Walmart. They make it so difficult to complain on their site. They DON’T care about their customers.

Open on Thanksgiving day… a 24 X 7 WalMart to the rescue.
It’s a bear getting in and out of this parking lot

I’m hitting all the Wal – Marts, and truly folks they are all the same. I wanted to get a cap, (I left mine back at home on the table in IL and I was in NC). The layout of this far away Wally-​world is basic — just like all the others. Things appeared to be picked over — of course, especially if you looking for end of season items — then the pickings are slim as well… But I found a cap after some hunting. Paid a fair price for the quality and was quickly on my way.
The check-​out wasn’t anything to write home about. Service with a smile, which is nice. Although, no one went out of their way to be helpful — that would take effort. Still, I’m glad I found a cap to protect my head from the intense heat of NC.

I’m not sure exactly what part of Walmart repulses me; the horrible crowd of shoppers it attracts (leisurely browsing isles, talking loudly on cell phones while blocking everyone in a rush to get by) the employes who would clearly rather be anywhere else or the ONE (!!!) open register to serve 1,500 people standing in line, but seriously, I will go in ANY direction, but the local Walmart. Totally out of my way, even in another city, even to pay higher prices, I avoid this Walmart. Super sad. I use to love Walmart.

Some Wal-Mart’s are better than others. They’re cleaner or they have a parking lot full of carts or they have friendlier-​than-​usual associates (that’s what they call their employees) or they have long lines at the registers.
This one is one of the fair ones, as opposed to a good one. Perhaps it’s because they’re right by the Interstate. My cart had two, not just one, flat wheel. I had to go back and get another. The signage in the store wasn’t as bright as I’ve seen in others. And the greeter seemed to be busy doing something else when I walked in (and later when I left).
As for the shelves, they were in need of some restocking and leveling on the day I was there. Well picked over, there were a few items here and there that other shoppers had abandoned in the wrong section. I still managed to find what I was looking for but it just wasn’t as pleasant a shop as I’ve experienced at other Wal-Mart’s.
