Came in to pick up a moving truck. Already pissed at UHAUL’S poor phone(corporate number, not this location’s number) customer service. Michelle and Stephen fixed what corporate screwed up. They certainly made things right. I have gone back there since, and received the same level of professionalism from other employees as well. I’ve learned my lesson. I will start with this location from now on!

On Wednesday, I booked an extremely last minute reservation for a cargo trailer to be picked up at this location, and I fully expected to run into some hiccups when I arrived.(I booked via cell phone @ 3:55 for a 4 pm pickup) First off, I was surprised to see the 4PM slot available, as many online bookings will push you off for hours or until the next day. Awesome start, one star earned. I walked into the lobby and was greeted by three staff members — all of whom wore a huge smile and seemed genuinely glad to see me. Huge plus, two stars earned. I let them know that I had just booked online, and the lady at the counter joked with me about when I had booked(5 mins prior) as we waited for the reservation to populate in the system. A sense of humor and putting the customer at ease — three stars! I initialed and signed where needed, and off we went(into the pouring rain) to hookup the trailer. The gal insisted I stay in the car and not get wet while she loaded and secured the hitch and trailer. She checked my lights and invited me back inside to finish off the paperwork. Four stars. What was most impressive is that from the time I submitted my reservation to the time I pulled out of the drive with the trailer attached was roughly 15 minutes. Talk about service! Very well done, Uhaul. And you’ve got some great employees over at the Mechanical Road store that deserve to be recognized for working hard(even in the pouring rain), making the process easy, and generating a life long customer. Five stars! I will recommend many others to this location for their moving needs!

Spoke with Clyde store manager I had a reservation on March 24 I was told that Austin was his number one installer for trailer hitches, but turned out they had the correct hardware but wrong hitch, at this point I would have waited another week to do install since Austin was off today but the young man volunteered to come in on his day off to do my install it’s done and thanks for the awesome customer service

They were very helpful and let us change our reservation last minute without any problems. Four stars because I double checked three times that we were getting a piano dolly, because we were moving a piano, and it was not given to my husband when he picked up our trailer. They were accommodating and refunded the charge. But it didn’t help when we got to the place and had to move it without that dolly. Good thing my husband is a strong dude. And lucky that I’m pregnant and didn’t have to help. =)

Turned in my one way rental here and got a storage unit. Excellent customer service once it is your turn, but they are very busy so it can be a wait. storage is overpriced though.

Here endeth our three-part U-haul rental saga! This was the third place we had to go to get the right size vehicle. Turns out wewere actually doing them a favor in since they needed to get this van back North. I always like knowing that I’m part of a Karmic balance :-) This U-haul guy wasn’t as enthusiastic about honoring the discounts the first dealer offered us. But he honored it and gave us extra mileage since we thought the rental was unlimited but it wasn’t. The van was brand spankin’ new. He returned to his original joviality by the end of our transaction and, overall, gave us good customer service. The only thing I would’ve liked better was if he wouldn’t have hesitated when we initially brought up the discount. But we still got it and he sent us off with a smile.
