I was new to yoga and took about twenty classes here before writing this review. The instructors and owner are friendly. I found the majority of the classes I took here to be geared towards relaxation. Not to say they offer no fitness benefit. What I mean is, after taking a class I would feel like I’d indulged myself rather than worked out, and I wouldn’t feel sore the next day even though I hadn’t otherwise exercised since having a baby. The exception is the yoga synergy sculpt class, which Is weight bearing exercise that I found to be too challenging for me. They also have Zumba, but I didn’t try it. I really enjoyed the classes here. It was a real treat to be able to go here to relax. I took advantage of the childcare program, which worked out fairly well. It was important to reserve childcare in advance since it isn’t always offered. I found that phones are rarely answered and voicemail and email are not promptly returned at this place. That was a problem for me since I was unable to use their online system to schedule childcare, and needed them to schedule it manually. It probably isn’t a problem for most people. I would recommend this studio to anyone looking for relaxing«me-time» or anyone aiming to ease gradually into exercise and flexibility.

I love this place. The instructors there are super friendly. The classes had just enough students, not too crowded. I love their 15 days for 15 $. I just wish they offer more later classes since I get out of work a little late. :/

As soon as we walked into this yoga studio the atmosphere was suitable to its name-Synergy Spa. The cool colors on the wall, a table offering hot tea a relaxing treat to enjoy after the session and the staff was very accommodating. The space was ideal, relaxing and inviting. A friend and I attending Dee Dee’s 9 am Vinyasa flow class. I had a groupon so it worked out well but they also offer a 15 for 15 days trail period and its really neat that they offer massages and childcare in addition to the yoga classes. I enjoyed that she was very literal in describing how to get into each pose safely, adjusting for those who may have injuries and then modifying for those who want to go just that extra step. In my yoga practice I have the tendency to move into a counter pose. She was very kind to encourage this and did not feel offended or at loss of control. I found her to be focused and grounded The studio was much easier to find the second time around-but im not super familiar with the area so someone who shops here often may find it easier. Its situated in the Firewheel Mall in Garland. Parking is accessible and safe. I bought a groupon and wanted to get the most out of it so I attended Stephanie’s 9am Vinyasa flow class. Stephanie was very gracious. Her voice was very gentle and slow which seemed to be the theme of the class. gentle and slow.-because it was an early morning class this was nice but if I were to take this class in the middle of the day I would have liked to see alittle bit more of a fast pace vinyasa flow or at least a range. One thing I did find attractive about her class was her music choice. Towards the end of the class the sound vibrations started to move through my body and truly settled my mind. In addition the the meditation she gave an incredible bindi massage and although my expectation for the class was vinyasa flow if it would have been titled slow deep stretch I would have rated it 4 stars instead of 3

OK, so I wanted to write a review on the yoga class I took there, and find that this is listed under Day Spas, and I am the first to review? That seems funny, because I don’t think this place is so new? Maybe I am wrong. Anyway, I did take a Vinyasa flow class from Dee Dee this morning. She was bright and chipper, and took us through a graceful class. I wasn’t in the mood to be challenged, so the fact that this didn’t happen was just fine with me. If I had wanted something more, then there might have been an issue. The space is beautiful, located in the Firewheel Mall in Garland, which is an interesting setting for a yoga studio, I thought. It was clean and had a good feel in general. My friend had a Groupon, which is why we went. I live too far away to even think I could become a regular here. They have other classes such as Nia(which I love) and offer childcare, so that could mean the difference between this studio and other studios to some people. They have the standard $ 15 for 15 days introductory offer, and in my opinion, it’s worth a try.
