I always come here to buy fresh steamed rice crepes(banh cuon) during lunch for the everyone at the office. One thing I don’t like about this place is that I paid for a 2lb crêpe box but I actually got a 1lb8oz box. I wish they could be honest about it. I also like the sizzling crepes(banh xeo) here but eating it is a mess. Bringing them home is not good anymore because they get soggy during the drive.

Small banh bao(8 pieces in a box) is very good. But it’s only available during weekends.

Always fresh to order. This is the best place to order banh cuon. Anytime I have a potluck or an event I always call them and they make it fresh. Its only $ 7 per lb of shrimp or pork or $ 6 per lb for plain. They are quick too! One time I ordered 6 lbs, ran into Hiep Thai to grab veggies and when I came back they were done! I do believe its called KIMLAN though, not Kim Land lol

When I’m too lazy to cook or want a quick meal after shopping at Hiep Thai for my groceries, I head on over to Kim Lan Food to Go. They’ve got hot and crispy eggrolls that my son loves, fresh spring rolls filled with pork and shrimp that my husband likes and banh xeo that we all like. They also have banh cuon and desserts made daily. What I love about this place is that they are convenient and they make the banh xeo fresh to order. You get two banh xeo per order and it costs about $ 5. They also provide the sauce and a bag of fresh veggies such as lettuce, mint and cilantro to go with the banh xeo. It’s still hot and crunchy by the time I get it home onto my plate. Delish! Bánh xèo(literally«sizzling cake») are Vietnamese pancakes made of rice flour, water, turmeric powder, and, in the southern region, coconut milk, stuffed with slivers of fatty pork, shrimp, and bean sprouts and then pan fried. They are served wrapped in mustard leaf, lettuce leaves or rice paper, and stuffed with mint leaves, basil, fish leaf and/or other herbs, and dipped in a sweet and sour diluted fish sauce.
