I loved the atmosphere. The owner Timo and son Tim Jr. Do a great job as hosts and cooks. The food is amazing. My first visit had the ribeye steak. It was made jus the way I liked it. 2nd visit had the barbecue. It was finger licking good Reasonable prices. Will visit again and again.

Since Babes had a long wait we decided to try Copper Kettle several months ago. It was a great choice! FRESH salad bar, service was great and best of all the food was amazing! Best catfish in dfw! We were craving catfish again this evening and knew exactly where to go! We pull up and notice a Bar b Que sign with Ricks smokehouse sign and was like what happened… we went on in and learned it’s new owners are the son of Ricks bar b que and his wife. Soooooo they now offer a taste of Ricks plus the same copper kettle food, which is Olé whiskers catfish! Delish!!! We tried the pork chop and homemade mashed potatoes! Both amazing. .next time we will try the chicken fried steak, knowing it’s the real deal because we could hear the cook pounding the steak! The catfish is a must everytime so dont go by yourself so you can sample/share! And don’t forget the homemade desserts!!!

Love the place and environment. Jim and Rhonda always make you feel welcome. Try to go at least once a week. Try them, you won’t be disappointed!

Very nice atmosphere for the family from the second you walk in; being Christmas time they had a fitting kind of cinnamon scent wafting through the main foyer that sets a good first impression. We went on a Saturday evening and probably wouldn’t have came in if Babe’s next door wasn’t so packed. I’m glad we did though, as this place suprisingly wasn’t nearly as busy and we were seated immediately. I don’t blame it on the food though as almost everything we shared was flavorful and well done. The pot roast, jalapeño casserole, and desserts are all winners. Oh and the rolls, I wish we’d taken some home, they were so good. Definitely coming back here.

Just okay. Burgers were cheap but small. Salad bar was disappointing, but fries were good.

Had the«Light Catfish» lunch. As others have said, this place is owned by the people who owned Old Whiskers. The food is the same and is very good. The portion was plenty large for this ‘big guy”. My only negative is that it is a little pricey for lunch, with tea, tax, and tip came to $ 14. I’ll be back though.

The grilled chicken dish had no flavor. The sides seemed like they came out of a bag. Pitiful salad bar. Soda comes in cans. I was drinking a lot of water and the high school age waiter had the audacity to ask me if I was going to pay the water bill. Will not be back!

I have to say we almost changed our minds because we wanted fried chicken and didn’t see it on the menu. Of course, Babe’s is next door but they were packed with a bus load of people. Then we saw catfish plates being delivered, oh my. After talking with the owner(who makes sure to greet each table) we found out that he owned Olé Whiskers for over 20 yrs. He’s kept all the same recipes for pinto beans, coleslaw, catfish and hush puppies. There’s a nice salad bar too. His wife makes all the desserts including homemade cinnamon rolls every day. They also sell Amish Wedding brand cheeses & jams. I bought my dad a jar of plum butter that looks delicious. Give this place a try, highly recommend.

Yahoo! Finally found a good local catfish place again. First time there this week and we got the shrimp and catfish platter. Comes with beans, coleslaw, pickled green tomatoes, hush puppies, the fish and fries. They fry in some rice bran oil we’ve never heard of, but it was light and crispy with good flavor. All is priced well. Service was great and live music to boot! Oh and Lemon Chess pie was pretty good too. We’re sold!

Exemplary food, service, décor. I cannot think of a better family run restaraunt in Dallas County. The burger is real value at around 6 oz, quality trimmings, great taste — $ 5.95 if I remember right. Wife got it served on the square dinner roll, for less bread intake, and she loved it. Looking forward to a return trip for a try of the entrees. Jalapeño casserole garnered a mixed decision — she loved it, but a little sweet for my taste — that’s just me. The salad bar looks great, and would certainly be worth a trip when you order an entrée. I’m told that the coconut pie has changed people’s lives. Your mileage may vary, Open Thursday — Saturday. Brakfast til 2:00PM on Saturday,

The only thing I could say that could have been better is to tone down the music just a bit. The singer had a nice voice but it made it a little hard to talk. Great catfish, friendly, attentive waiter. We’ll be back.

Ate here for the first time and loved the food. This is a new restaurant, just opened some time around the new year 2014. Home cooking and comfort food. Get the catfish. The owner used to have ol’ whiskers catfish in Rowlett and really knows how to do it right. I got the catfish platter with shrimp and it was tender and flaky. Wasn’t greasy at all. Shrimp was butterfly and was also crispy and delicious. Cole slaw is some of the best around as are the beans and corn bread. Hush puppies were good but I’ve had better. They also have kabobs but I haven’t tried yet. Think I’ll try that next time. Only drawback is that they don’t have a bar so can’t enjoy an adult beverage with your dinner. Canned sodas, fresh brewed tea only plus water. They are in the strip center next to Babes chicken dinner house in Garland. Recommend!
