Burger Island

If you order your burger EXACTLY how it is on the menu, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. But if you ask for a substitution or to leave something off, they won’t get it right. Then if you send it back to be done right, they try to just scrape off what you didn’t want. It’s happened more than once, I won’t be back.

So disappointed. There was a very very rude «Supervior?» that was talking to her employee like she was stupid while other employees sat and played on their phones. The Supervior was Asian and she had a thick accent. I watched her basically beat up this teenager verbally that from what I understood only had been there 2 days. It made me disgusted. The food was cold when it should have been hot. This seriously makes me doubt ever going back and I plan on telling everyone I know. If that is how they treat their employees I don’t think they deserve my business.

Store are so friendly and always cheerful! They do deliver! That’s right this place delivers! One of the best burgers. I always get the jungle burger! Everything g on it. can never eat the whole thing.

These burgers are delicious. Do not wonder off the burger menu, you will be disappointed.
If you love a huge sloppy burger with everything on it, get the Jungle Burger or Double Jungle. Also, the fries are thin, crispy, and well seasoned.
I like this location better than the one in Richardson. The dining area here is bright, and not depressing. P. s. Always check your receipt — I’ve had a few errors when ordering.

We have been eating at Burger Island for over 10 years and this was the worst experience ever. We ordered 3 burgers, 2 orders of fries, 1 order of onion rings, 1 order of fried mushrooms and chicken strips, for delivery. The food was cold, we were only like ½ mile away, so it’s not like they had to drive far. The fries were obviously double fried because they were dry, hard and nasty. The onion rings and mushroom also tasted stale and were not crispy. They threw us off by asking if we wanted ¼ or ½lb burgers, never before has any Burger Island restaurant ever asked us that, we thought the standard weight was 1/​3lb patty. We got one ¼lb burger and it was tiny, over cooked, dry and frazzled… and over $ 5 for just the burger. The other two ½lb burgers were just blah. Dry and room temperature. They also decided we didn’t need our chicken strips. We read our order off a list and they just didn’t take it down correctly. It was sad that my 10 year old nephew didn’t get his dinner. Everything about this was bad. We regularly order from the Rowlett Burger Island, and for delivery, and everything is always fresh and delicious. Don’t know what the heck the Garland Buckingham Rd. location is doing, but it’s obviously not making fresh food.

Went there 11/​13/​2014 and was not disappointed! I’ve been to two other Burger Island locations and always received a good sized burger with good helping of well seasoned fries. The burger patty seemed to be ground beef and was thick and delicious! Love local spots like this or small chains that seem to put the big boys to Shane, I’ll be back!

Pretty good mid-​priced burger joint, reminds me a bit of Purdys before they went to hell and then disappeared. More expensive than Mickey D’s, and a less less expensive than Twisted Root. This location has a vaguely 1950’s theme to it.
Order at the counter, take a number and the bring it to your table. Service was friendly and prompt. They have many versions of the standard burger dressed various ways. I went with my all time favorite, bacon and cheese. Three words people, fresh cooked bacon!!!
I’ve had bacon cheeseburgers at just about everyplace that has them, and I can’t remember the last time I had bacon right off the griddle. It was wonderfully crisp and crunchy with bacon grease still clinging to it.
Portions are huge, I was famished and still couldn’t finish my meal.

Worst burger island location hands down. I have been to the one in Rowlett and Richardson and love their food. This location is mediocre on the food, establishment isn’t that clean, service is horrible. Drive the extra 10 minutes to go to another location.

The burgers here are just crazy delicious! Employees are friendly and are great at suggesting what is good. It’s a little pricey but pretty much worth every bite!:)

Biggest, Bestest, Awesomest Burgers around. The jalapeño burger is my favorite. Sometimes it’s soo spicy I have to take some peppers off. I’ve tried just about everything here. The fried pickles are very good. This place has some of the best ranch to dip your fries in. This location is one of the cleanest ones. You can tell they care about appearance unlike other locations (town east mesquite).

This place is pretty much the pinnacle of burger place perfection. In my opinion, it’s everything a burger place should be and more. The staff is friendly and the food is amazing. Huge burgers at affordable/​fair prices. Me and my girlfriend usually share an island burger meal which is just enough food for both of us. To top it off, they even have delicious wings and have said they are planning on serving breakfast soon. I can hardly wait! I definitely recommend you try this place out when you’re in the mood for a huge and delicious burger that won’t empty out your pocket.

The food is incredible! Fast service and, even though it is a fastish food place they bring it to you! Try the wings! They are cheaper than wing stop but just as tasty! Cute atmosphere and decorated like a friendly family place to make you feel right at home!

The burgers are the bomb here. It’s super messy, but what’s good in this world that isn’t a little messy?

Try the Jalapeño burger! That’s if you can handle the hotness. They use fresh jalapenos instead of the canned ones. The burger is humongous, and the beef is cooked well. The fries are okay, not too crispy like I prefer them to be. It’s probably due to McDonald’s reprogramming my childhood preference to crispy and hollow fries. However, Burger Island fries are not hollow and they are made from real potatoes. You may have to pay a little more than McDonald’s or Wendy’s, but it’s worth it. The owner is very kind, and the cook makes the best burgers.

Very good burgers. Price is good and portion sizes are very large.
