My wife and I quite like the pizza here primarily because it’s not New England Greek style pizza. This pizza is thin crust and has more of a fresh tomato taste. I guess it’s more like California pizza.

There just ok, for around here. Like the many many other pizza places around here, they start off good but quickly go down hill. When they first opened it was good. Now they have progressively got worse. Today’s meal was not good at all. My kids wouldn’t even eat it. Which means they hate it now. I’ll never go back.

Went to Sorrento’s last night(Friday, 10÷9÷15) to have a fast dinner before heading over to a Theatre At The Mount. The production began at 8, and the show was relocated about 15 – 20 minutes away at Montachusett Tech. We arrived at Sorrento’s at about 6:35, and rarely get to do things out because we have an infant and a small child. It was a special night. When we arrived, we examined the menu. I asked the staff about my seafood allergy and if they cook the seafood in the same oil as any other fried foods. They were friendly and informative stating that they did. I asked if I were to order the Chicken Piccatta if it was pan fried instead, and it was. I ordered the Chicken Piccatta, and my wife ordered the Chicken and Walnut Salad. In the time we were waiting for our food, just about every table around us filled up and there were several points where there was a line. While we waited I drank about six cups of complimentary lemon water while my wife sipped a Sprite she got from a cooler. The staff was passing food over a glass divider we were sitting next to, and at times wandered through the dining area with plates asking patrons who the food belonged to — including a mushroom pizza, a fajita pizza, eggplant parmesan, a shrimp appetizer, and other dishes. The thing that began to worry me as the clock ticked was — the people sitting around us came in after us, and were getting their orders before us. Still, pizza can be a quick food. Perhaps I thought that my food would have taken longer because of food prep safety, and pan frying chicken can take longer… Regardless, at 7:20, and with no food in front of us, I approached the counter and asked about our dinner. The staff asked what I ordered. I said Chicken Piccatta, and my wife ordered a salad, and asked if they started it yet. The staff asked what salad, and I responded that I didn’t know, but did they start it yet because now we were in a hurry. The staff responded to give them five minutes(which not only did we not have, but would not have produced cooked chicken in my experience). I responded that if they did not start it yet we had to leave. They responded that it will be ready in five minutes, and asked what salad she ordered again. At no point did the staff offer an apology or even admit to forgetting about it — it took three times asking if our food was cooking to even get a confirmation that it was not. We left on our special night, and with our car parked in Sorrento’s parking lot, went across the street to the café and ordered Cuban and Buffalo Chicken sandwiches where they immediately dropped everything and made us a really good, fast dinner — which we had to eat in the car in the theater parking lot before the play. Here is my review of the NuCafe, which dropped everything to be attentive, courteous, and cared about our customer experience moments after being snubbed for three quarters of an hour: Overall, it was a pretty unfortunate experience on one of our rare special date nights… We will not be returning, and telling others about our experience.

Pizza was good. Service was very good. Nice staff. They cook their pizzas at ~600 deg F so this isn’t Neapolitan. Seems more NY style. We tried several pizzas. The most surprising to me was probably the meat lovers that someone in my party wanted. Generally this kind of pizza is so loaded with toppings and grease that I don’t enjoy it. This one was really tasty and not greasy at all. I’d say they need a little more flavor to their crust recipe and it had a weak cornicione, but still it’s better than most. There is a lot of crappy pizza makers around. This tasted fresh and healthy. That along with the service gets me to a generous 4 stars.

As I’ve never tried Sorrento’s I thought I’d go in and ask for a recommendation for the best sub. Known for their New York style thin and hand-tossed pizza I felt they needed to be reviews on other cuisine. The employees on shift were all friendly and recommended the pulled pork sub which I was told was slow cooked over night in the oven. After being informed that it comes with tomato, onion, and pickles, which was strange for pulled pork. Opting out on the tomato I asked for lettuce instead. When I received the sandwich the lettuce was romaine, terrible for this sandwich, and was cut very large so it was not appealing. Onions were large cut sliced white onion, again bad choice for this sandwich I would have chosen red onion. The pulled pork was a 3.5÷5 and the only thing to save the sandwich, and it was loaded with meat. Toppings were a 1⁄5 and showed a lack of consistency in preparation and quality. Service was definitely 5⁄5 and I can see why people come back for the pizza. I will try to review the pizza in the future, which may change my viewpoint.

This review is strictly for the gluten free pizza. First off, the owner is a really nice guy and friendly. He offered me complementary gluten free pizza dough but I had to deny because I was only here for a wedding and didn’t have anywhere to store the pizza dough. Overall, very tasty sauce and love the wood fire pizza.

Greta pizza all around. Great staff! I have never had an issue here. This was a great additional Gardner. Limited seating available is the only downside, however the pizza sure does make up for that. If you like local pizza establishments, this may very well be the best in town.

Best pizza in Gardner. Excellent variety of choices as well. I’d highly recommend the Spinach Chicken Salad as well. It is a bit pricey for the area, but overall the quality is very, very good.

Yum! We got a pizza with onions, sausage and pepperocinis. A bit heavy on the onions but the pizza was delish. Light, thin and airy with a good sauce. Best in Gardner for sure. Order it well-done if you want it extra crispy. I learned that in RI!

By far the best pizza around. Favorite: Quattro Formage with sauce and caramelized onions. I have eaten here over 20 times, and always come back. When I have the hankering for pizza, this is the only to. Wish they would deliver though.

Hands down the best tasting pizza in the Greater Gardner area. The crust has a great flavour and the toppings are always fresh. Everything there is delicious.

the selection is huge, very inventive pizzas, but it’s very pricey for pizza, and because they get so heavy in the toppings, the center is ALWAYS soggy, no matter how many pies we try. The pesto bread is DELCIOUS though, I would go for just that.

Cardboard flavored pizza providers of Gardner… YOUAREONNOTICE! FInally a decent brick oven pizza shop in town. Excellent ingredients, top shelf service, speed… and did I mention… BRICKOVEN! I moved to Gardner 6 years ago with my wife. Needless to say we are less than pleased with the dining selection in Gardner. No longer do I need to drive back home(North Shore) for a decent meal that I do not cook. Thank you Sorrento’s!
