I have to say, I was a little hesitant about trying this place… it’s so hole-in-the-wall that it felt like a coin-flip: it was going to be either really bad or really good. Thankfully, it turned out to be the latter! I ate the costillas de puerco en salsa verde con nopales, which is the #1 item on the menu and was recommended to me by the nice lady at the counter. It was very, very good! All the flavors were balanced, the pork was tender and not dry. The rice was the best tasting rice I’ve had at a Mexican restaurant ever, and the beans were flavorful without being heavy. I’ve been looking for a place like this in the South Bay and have finally found it. Other places perhaps give bigger portions, or a more festive atmosphere, but the quality of the food here speaks for itself. I will be coming back, and hope others give this place a try as well!
