First of all this place has been here for years and it still gets busy. Everyday there’s happy hour and the food is good with a large menu so you have choices. The location looks so small but when you walk it the place just opens up to multiple tables and music to keep you snacking on the foods from this place. Try it out and have a pitcher.

I have passed by this place many many times and not once I thought of stopping by. From outside it doesnt look like a great place but once you step in is totally different. The atmosphere is that of a nice little Mexican Pueblo house, they were so friendly, their menu properly varied and their prices on the dot. Just by walking in I felt let down by myself for not coming in sooner. Such a nice place with a super nice lady and cook. I got the Asada Nachos and my friend got the Asada burrito and they were superb! The portions are hefty so be ready to eat! Those burritos are BIG and the Nachos had so much chunky Guacamole and meat and cheese and just enough beans to dress the chips, not to flood them!(I skipped the salsa and sour cream) I am mexican and I judge most mexican food places by 2 things, their Carne Asada and their Salsa, the asada here is great, nice juicy chunks, fresh off the grill(Am getting hungry again just thinking of it lol), I did not try the salsa cause the Dr is not letting me eat spicy but my friend loved it and it smelled like my grandma’s salsa, I am sure is that good so in my book they have the 2 things down. Am certainly coming back and perhaps becoming a regular… they are walking distance lol. Give them a go, delicious well proportioned food in a great cozy little place to dine in or take out. They take orders with Eat24 so you can order with your phone and just show up to pick up your meal! They are great!

Seems business has gone downhill. Came here after reading other reviews. Took over 25 mins for me to get 2 carne asada burritos and 2 adobada tacos. It was like they weren’t even expecting customers on a Friday night, the guys where just sitting around. Once they got started I watched them microwave the meat, bad sign. As we ate our burritos there were a ton of huge fat chunks in the meat. My wife and I were spitting out left and right as we ate them. Gross On the plus side they gave us free chips because of the wait but I’m still going to have to say I’m not coming back because of the fatty meat and the microwaved food.

I’ve taken out a few times from this place. I’ve had tostada de ceviche, sopes de lengua, and huarache de asada. All of it was good, flavorful, fresh, tasty food. They have good salsas, too. Like the review I just wrote for another place, this place is also very clean and comfortable. You can tell by the atmosphere, it’s a family joint. Maria, who runs the place, is a very sweet and friendly lady. She is very interested in having new customers try her food. I’m glad this place opened up and I wish her the best with her place. I’ll definitely be back because of the good food and friendly customer service.

This place used to be called Big Bite Tacos. Now it’s more of a sit down or takeout restaurant. The ladies are extremely nice here. Sooo friendly and so accommodating. I felt at home immediately. I ordered a lengua torta and sat down to grub. The prices are relatively moderate but I had to wait to see what i got to make a sound judgment on that aspect. The interior is very ‘remade’ looking. The counter sticks out awkwardly with a steam table right there next to the cashier. It definitely looks like a converted takeout joint. No biggie. They brought my torta out and it smelled great. The bread they used was definitely the pan that i am used to. I really wanted a lot of salsa because I do like it spicy but I wanted it on the side so I can taste how they cook the meat, which is essential for me. The meat was pretty tasty. The salsa was really tasty. The condiments on the torta was the normal fare of choice: lettuce, tomato, beans, onions, cilantro. If going on experience alone, I would give this place 5 stars but I haven’t had enough chances to give it 5 stars yet. I will go back and if it stays great, I will change my rating. Give it a try and rate for yourself. BTW, parking sucks. One way driveway and very tight. It’s always been like that here but for the passerby, it would be very confusing.

nothing beats living around the corner from a good mexican take out spot. i’m very simple when it comes to soft tacos. nice and toasty tortillas. tender and tasty meats to fill my tacos. and GOODSALSA! go for the red one… def has a lil kick in it and with a dash of lime. they’re amazing plus they can make CARNEASADAFRIES! i miss having these in SD. but when a place lets you substitute fries instead of chips for nachos at no additional charge. sure does get an A in my book

Had the chicken flautas with rice and beans. The only thing I disliked slightly was the kind of cheese they put on the flautas and beans. It was that kind of queso fresco that smells. So I drowned my flautas and beans and rice in the salsa which was not too bad. The guacamole on the flautas was a bit watery but for 6 bucks, the meal filled me up. I’m gonna see what else this place has goin on later, but for now it’ll do. The only bad thing is that the parking in the little strip mall sucks. Other than that, this place is clean and good to go!

This place opened recently, maybe end of last year or so, I don’t know. From the outside it looks like it might be a messy shack inside but once you’re inside, there’s a clean organized counter with alert looking staff, so far so good. The combo tacos & enchilada plate was pretty good, you get a choice of meat which is nice. The chicken taco and enchilada was very good as they were not greasy and the chicken was flavorful and tasted fresh. The beef taco was good as well. The Chili Rellenos have a nice big white cheese inside that’s very flavorful, blocks of cheese inside actually, and the chili is on the large side. One gripe is the waft of chicken fat but otherwise it wasn’t greasy or fatty in taste, very good actually(I personally don’t like beef or chicken fat smell, not even expensive beef fat’s). They were very good but not hugely memorable(albeit today was my first and only visit so far). Light, fresh and reasonable prices come to mind but I wish they advertise a signature dish on the counter or menu so I can associate the place with the signature dish(There was a ‘special’ menu on the handwritten board but I don’t read Spanish, I’ll ask next time though). The menu has a variety of items I’ve never heard of(and am afraid to try), the flan was not bad either.
