Del Taco

You don’t come here because the food is great, you come here because it’s convenient, cheap, and fast. Sometimes you’re drunk or high and you crave a late night snack. This is the place to come. It’s a great location. Right by the 405 exit. I grew up around here, so this Del Taco has become the old Mexican place that I call home… sure it’s pathetic and sad, but I’m not here to talk about my love life, I’m here to review this Del Taco.

This is probably the worst DEL Taco I’ve probably been to. Walk in order too 13 min to get and the cashier acts like you’re annoying her.
Ordered the #2. Burrito was barely warm. Ate it anyway because I was starving by the time I got my food. Left the fries because they were cold and hard like they had been sitting there for 20 minutes or longer.
I’ve almost always have had a bad experience at this one. Definitely not coming back to this one.

I wish they would keep the outside eating area as clean as the inside. Management just needs to schedule one person to clean the tables every morning. Not hard. :-(

Sometimes you just get the hankering for a completely unauthentic taco, you know what I’m saying?
Close to the major freeways, this Del Taco is my post-​work, pre-​home dinner stop. It’s clean, there’s plenty of somewhat well-​lit parking. Other than that, it’s another quality Del Taco experience: D

This is my favorite fast food place. If you don’t want to spend too much for a quick meal, you should come here. You can spend just few dollars for a meal, but the quality of the foods is very decent for the price. The service is also better than most other fast foods places. I usually get chicken soft taco, which is also number one favorite among my friends, and steak taco. They also have chicken bowls. When I tried them for first time, I was quite surprised that they were better than some teriyaki places. It is also relatively low calories compared to other fast food places. Recommended for a quick lunch.

Disappointed. I used to get the nacho fries for $ 2.99 and it was a lot more than what I got tonight. I’m never gonna order this again.

One of the cleaner and more organized Del Tacos that I have been too. Easy parking, spacious dining area, and great customer service. Food came out at a typical «fast-​food» time. All of the Del Taco sauce packets were all neatly organized. The entire restaurant looked very clean.
UNTIL THEN! ^-^

I eat fast food every day… yes every day.
This is BY FAR the best Del Taco I’ve ever been to and has been consistent in that for the past 6 months.
The service is FAST in the drive thru.
The food has enough ingredients inside the shells/​tortillas.
They honor any coupons and don’t annoy with the «you want anything to drink with that» question. Whoever is running this place is doing it the right way…

We have been going to this Del Taco since it was a Nagels. That was like 1976.
But more recent to the taco Tuesday, since 1996. We’ll for the last 10 visits on Tuesday starting like July, every time we have gone there we have not received the 3 for $ 1.09, unless we ask for it.
I can see once in a while but every single time.
Talked to Glendie, and she gave me excuses. I am not in search of excuses just the service that her employer pays her to do.
P. S. She did say come and get 6 free tacos.

I always stop in a Del Taco whenever I’m in Cali… Usually late at night after too many libations and it always hits the spot.
Just the hard shell beef tacos though. That is the only thing that’s good here, everything else is gross. The Macho Tacos are the best. A couple of Macho Tacos and a few packets of Del Scorcho sauce and your good to go!
They do call it Del Taco for a reason.

Sounds a little strange, but I love their chicken tacos without the tortilla. I like to order mine with easy, easy sauce in a little cup or tray with easy cheese and extra lettuce. Kinda like a mini-​salad. Vikky always makes mine with extra TLC and always makes it pretty beefed up. On a cheat day I’ll order a quesadilla, tostada and a large order of fries with a side of guac or the $ 2 breakfast deal! YUM!
This location is super convenient (right off the 405 in Harbor Gateway), the tables are always clean and so are the restrooms! Plenty of parking with drive-​thru (of course!)
Del Taco also has fresh brewed iced tea for us non-​soda drinkers! :)

Location, location, location. Just off the freeway off-​ramp, a quick bite to eat, or take out on the way home. Most of the times I’ve been here, service has been fast, accurate and the premise is clean. And, you can’t beat the location for on-​the-​way-​home convenience. Can’t give it a five because although I’ve never gone during rush hour, getting back onto Western, I assume can be a hassle during rush hour.
For anybody who has never eaten at Del Taco, any location, it’s budget fast food, so you have to expect what you pay, but look at the prices you pay — 49 cent tacos, 99 cent ½ lb bean burritos. At 49 cents, I don’t expect to receive much filling, and if I do get a generous amount, it’s a bonus. What really is a deal though, is the bean burrito. I never have ordered a bean burrito at a sit-​down restaurant, and I don’t expect I ever will, but at fast food places, sometimes I will. At Del Taco, it’s one of my favorite items. It’s filling, the refried beans are pretty good, and the cheese and chile are enough to give it that extra kick flavor that makes this a good deal for 99 cents.

Quick and to the point… As long as they have Taco Tuesdays (3 for $ 1.09) I will return. Yes, its a fast food chain… if you want linen table clothes and a mariachi band, you need to go to another part of town!

i’m ashamed to admit it but yes, i ate del taco the other day. well, i was hungry and it was right off my exit off the 405. got two hard shell/​crunchy chick tacos.
ok, i realize these are only a buck a piece but they were seriously lacking in the filling department. the chicken, cheese, lettuce, everything. and two hot sauce packets only? c’mon, homie.
the del taco i used to frequent near my work, stuffs the tacos w/​way more meat and goodies. maybe i’ll try the one on hawthorne next time.

I love Del Taco but this location is not the best, despite the convenience factor.
Dirty bathrooms and the drunk guy sleeping on the lawn (yes, sleeping on the lawn) were enough to rate this one as only two stars.
They’d be one star, but we were there on a day when tacos were on special for some ridiculously cheap price so that was a plus!

247 Open! How awesome is that and they’re right by the freeways entrances/exists.So its not the nicest del taco i’ve been to, but the night shift staff are super nice. Very friendly and they take all your coupons!
Large dining room area. Next to Dennys. Parking is readily available. Customer service is excellent.
I tried the new breakfast biscuit (not a fan), but the chipotle big fat crispy chicken taco was awesome! Fish taco ware decent too.

It’s another big chain restaurant, therefore, this review is going to be super duper short but cut straight to the point… May not be as funny as you guys may like, may not be cool because it’s not a special place that everyone is talking about, but it sure is useful!!!
Del Taco! $ 0.49 burritos, $ 0.49 Tacos, and $ 0.99 chicken soft tacos… can’t beat that!
Now… the $ 0.49 burritos you can get anytime… for Tuesdays, They’ve got 3 regular tacos for $ 1.09 = $ 0.36 ea! A good $ 0.13 savings!!! You can get almot 10 tacos under 4 bucks!!!
Thursday is when I attack this place like a maniac! After work (around 10pm) I’m usually hungry and needed a snack. the chicken soft taco is outrageous! Regular price is $ 0.99 ea but if you go on Thursdays 3 chicken soft tacos is only $ 2.09 = $ 0.69 ea ($ 0.30 discount!) You just can’t beat it!
Couple of recommendations…
1) Be a spy… what I meant by this is when you do decide to get some Thursday chicken tacos, try a different location each time near you. Why you may ask? Some places gives out a much bigger chicken portion while some gives out more lettuce as fillers… Don’t get jipped… make sure you find your favorite one with lots of contents in your tacos! (So far this location has been pretty good and also the location right by El Camino College)
2) To make your taco super tasty… take 2 tacos, remove one of the tortillas, add both fillings onto only 1 tortilla, heat it up in the microwave for 20 seconds to melt the cheese, add inferno sauce, barely hold together and indulge! It’s SOOOOO good! (and it takes one entire useless carb out of the equation!
Super tasty chicken soft tacos! I highly recommend them my friends! Don’t forget, save money and eating well should be priorities! And Thursday is definitely a priority day!!!
P. S. Yes… I don’t go on any other days other than additional discount days… I’m cheap (frugal) remember? =P

Came here to pick up lunch. The only reason i’m reviewing this is because the shrimp tacos are back that is mostly the only reason i eat at Del Taco once in a while i’ll get the tacos, burritos and quesadillas but mainly for the shrimp tacos
for me shrimp tacos are yummylicious as Maggie would say :)

I had not been to a Del Taco in a long time. Over the years, I have definitely had much more experience with Taco Bell than Del Taco. Even so, I’ve always felt that Del Taco might use slightly better ingredients than Taco Bell (though that’s all relative).
Whenever I visit Del Taco, I think of Casa Del Taco from my hometown. I experienced this local fast food Mexican place long before I ever stepped foot in a Taco Bell or a Del Taco. While Casa Del Taco would not be considered authentic Mexican food, what really separated the place from other fast food joints was the quality of the ground beef, the fresh produce, the house made taco shells, and a thick and hearty red taco sauce (similar to the La Victoria Red Sauce that you can pickup at any Ralphs).
I make sure to stop by Casa Del Taco every time I go home. They even expanded to an additional location, which is saying a lot for a local restaurant in my small hometown.
I’ve only been to Del Taco a few times though I was most impressed at the large Del Taco in Barstow. Though I did not get anything, that place’s sheer size and big crowd was impressive. This Del Taco, located on Western Avenue where Gardena meets Torrance, is a relatively small location.
The restaurant itself (primarily the interior) was somewhat in need of a makeover. The service though was quick and the food was surprisingly okay for fast food.
I went with simple selections from their menu – 2 crunchy tacos, 1 soft taco, 1 nacho, and a soft drink. All of it for under $ 5.
The crunchy tacos had decent ground beef in it, the shredded iceberg lettuce was nice and crisp, good crunch on the shells, and okay cheese. The soft taco was more of the same. The nachos were served with a Cheez Whiz-​like cheese sauce already on top (no side cup here). I kind of go back and forth on this – sometimes, I like the side cup; sometimes, just go ahead and smother the chips with cheese. The nachos were fine. There were no jalapenos on them, but I am sure they would put some on the nachos if you asked. The cheese sauce had a slight spiciness to it, which improved the flavor. So often this type of cheese sauce is incredibly bland (for example, the cheese sauce at movie theaters).
Overall, a pleasant experience at a decent price. Not the healthiest option out there, but the quality of the food here was better than some of the other fast food options in the Gardena area.
