Crazy Rock’n Sushi

I probably just ordered the wrong thing here. The specialties seem to be their rolls, but I ordered my standard order when I visit a new sushi place – chirashi. It gives me a baseline to compare one place to another. I would say their chirashi isn’t their strong suit, since it only had a few pieces of fish and they had it on top of a salad, with the rice/​furikaki/​etc. in a separate container. It looked impressive when it was brought to the table, but the excitement quickly fizzled out once I started digging in. It wasn’t bad by any means, guess maybe just a bit disappointing. I look forward to going again and trying their rolls My colleague ordered 2 rolls and she was pretty happy with them. My other colleague ordered a bento box and he seemed pretty happy. Of course, I didn’t share my disappointment with them, so maybe they didn’t as well?

This has been our regular spot for sushi for awhile now and they have never disappointed! The sushi is tasty and reasonably affordable :) Not only is the sushi and sake bomb, but also the staff is amazing, courteous, personable, and fast. We love this place Whether it’s take-​out or eating at Crazy Rockin’ Sushi always satisfied!

I came here two days ago and now im absolutely dying. Had oysters which tasted so bad, so rubbery and so fishy i had to spit the second one out. I came here with one other and he’s currently food poisoned. I had to leave work. I spent all day violently heaving and developed aches and chills. Diarrhea is practically liquid. Arms and fingers tingling. Apparently from reading the reviews, someone else also got food poisoning this week on the day before we went. Im debating filling a health complaint to make sure their food, esp oysters, are safe for consumption. This is not safe, imagine if someone young or immunocompromised fell ill, that would be a serious situation.

This place has good rolls I’ve tried a few and have never been upset. I always try a new one when I go. Tempura is delicious and they have great deals I especially love the deal where you can have 2 different rolls for the price of 1. They divide it into 4 pieces each. It’s great. For me personally the shashimi is cut a little thick but it’s still delicious and fresh. The only issue I have with this place is everytime I go 1 of the severs isn’t very friendly, but everyone else is! So it’s not a big deal. Check it out, they also have a projector screen for the games! #Sake

I’m giving it 2 stars ONLY BECAUSE the rolls were pretty delicious. But, it’s unfortunate I will never return again because of the awful service treatment I received today. The waiter wouldn’t look me nor my friend in the eye, not once. He was super quick and barely even spoke to us. Seriously from the minute we walked in until the minute we left he was such a jerk! So sad it was like that, the sushi was pretty awesome. I won’t be back.

Gave me food poisoning. Fish was not fresh and tasted bad. Been sick all day and missed work because of this. I definitely do not recommend this place.

I have come to this place 5 times now and I don’t think I will stop. This place has great service. All the servers there are AWESOME!!! What I love best about this place is, I took my nephew to try sushi here for the first time. One of the servers, suggested what would be best for him as to not scare him away from trying. He was even sweet enough to make training chop sticks. I wish this guy wore a name tag cause he was great. Always checking on us to see if we were good and always wore a smile.
If you are in the area and want great service & sushi, this is the place to be. See you guys again next week!

I’ve been here quite a few times now, and every time I come here it never disappoints! Great service, despite the busy dinner hours. My favorite things to order are the baked salmon roll, and the golden crunch roll. Soo good! Highly recommend getting them. I’ve had the mango cucumber salad before, and the fried rice appetizer, but they were so-​so. Appetizer items are a little on the pricier side so I probably wouldn’t order them again. Come here for the delicious sushi!!!

I had this unagi bowl and it was beyond delicious! There was a lot of choices… I wanted to try everything!!!
Must return here again with my friend.
He got a combination order and it filled him up and I got to try the CA roll.
Next time, I also want to have the dessert…

Came in yesterday for lunch and was greeted by a great group of people.
Your employees made me feel welcomed and at home. I had the calamari tempura rolls, so delicious. We sang and chit chatted. I was truly impressed. Will be back soon and telling my friends.

Checked out this Sushi spot in Gardena. We ordered popcorn shrimp, gold crunch roll, and spicy dragon roll. Sushi is very good. Fresh ingredients all around.
Service is fast and friendly. It’s in a plaza by Smart & Final. Looks plain from the outside but once you step inside a totally different environment. Low-​key. Inviting atmosphere and clean.

I love Rock’n Sushi, its a 6 min drive from my job and I have enjoyed many a lunch pickups from this place. I am NEVER disappointed in a roll and that is saying a lot! The fish is fresh and the staff friendly. Beautiful interior big TVs that play sports all the time and the parking is plentiful, the place itself is pretty busy. Yummy appetizers! This is the best local spot around, when I want a sure thing and driving out of my way is not an option, this is my sushi spot.

Who knew that this little spot was so cool? A friend told me about this place as a lunch meet up. I was pleasantly surprised. Great menu and great prices. Lunch menu goes until 4pm… Now that’s nice given the local hospital and casinos nearby so many folks take lunch other than 12noon. But it slowed down by 2:30pm. Anyway I was impressed with the choices and prices for them.
I had the 5 PC sushi lunch (various fish) and a side of hand cut spicy tuna (another 6 pcs) plus tempura veggies and green iced tea. All of that was $ 20. That’s a lunch deal. My friend got a bento box with teriyaki and sushi. Hers was about 10.00. Also good and plentiful. I’ll be back because service and ambiance was good too. Inside was bigger than I thought. Overall a nice sushi spot that doesn’t break the bank!

Good cheap sushi spot! Nice customer service, yummy flavors, and the seafood tasted fresh. It is one of the best fast serve sushi spots in the south bay.
They have some interesting rolls with mozzarella. The shrimp tempura rollmwas yummy and the rainbow roll exceeded my expectations.
Definitely worth a try if you are in Gardena.

I rarely review the sushi joints I go to, I have no idea why. Lol. Bad elite! Bad! This place is good though! I highly recommend the Popcorn Shrimp Bowl! It comes with a eel sauce and chopped jalapeños. Super bomb. The spicy tuna roll was quiet fresh! Two thumbs up. Pretty much can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! «I’ll be back» (Arnold Schwarzenegger voice) to explore more on the menu!

Before meeting up with friends in West LA, I stopped by for a quick lunch here. I’ve been to their West Hollywood location, but I didn’t know until the other day that they had a location in the south bay.
As I walked in, I noticed how busy they were. The waiter cleaned a table for me, and I perused the menu. To drink, I just had a glass of water. I ordered my tuna rolls extra spicy (check pics). One roll was brought with jalapeño slices on top of each piece. It was the spicier of the two rolls, and I really enjoyed it. The other roll had the bulk of the seafood, which gave me that protein boost.
I enjoyed the lunch, and I’ll definitely consider them the next time I crave sushi.

Pretty good if you want Americanized sushi. It’s located inside a strip mall next to Domino’s. We stopped by around 5pm, a bit early for dinner. I expected the place to be completely empty, but it had some patrons. Immediately, this was a positive sign.
My boyfriend and I ordered the love boat. It came with tempura, teriyaki chicken, California rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. The portion was huge and we were able to finish most of it. The only item I didn’t really enjoy was the teriyaki chicken.
We also ordered some unfiltered sake and it came with soju shot glasses. Seeing this, my guess is that the restaurant is Korean owned.

Came here for on a Saturday around 5:30 for dinner with a friend and we got greeted and seated right away.
We ordered Salmon sushi, West Hollywood Roll, and Crazy Love Roll, and Spicy edamame.
Salmon Sushi comes with 4 pieces. The salmon was fatty! The specialty rolls were both 8 pieces each and delicious. I especially enjoyed the West Hollywood Roll. The spicy edamame starter was a good portion so I was happy to see that. This isn’t the best sushi I’ve had but for the price, doing the job of satisfying the sushi craving, and the quick service, it was on point!

I would give this place 3.5 stars (3 for service, 3.5 for food). The restaurant is fairly small, but luckily we were there early, so got seated right away.
We ordered several items to start (garlic edamame & a couple rolls), which came out incorrect & the server’s repeated response was, «You said…» even though we all heard each other order what we wanted clearly. Nonetheless, he unapologetically corrected our order. The other staff actually seemed nicer.
The garlic edamame was a bit greasy & so overcooked the shell fell apart in your mouth (that should not happen). The salmon jalapeño poppers, Crazy rockin, house, & crazy love rolls were decent though (4 stars). I liked the zesty sauce on the crazy love roll, but it wasn’t really spicy compared to the jalapeño poppers. I recommend leaving room for the macaroon ice cream sandwiches! We had no idea how well those two go together! We ate em so fast we forgot to snap pics, sorry.
There are so many other sushi places in Torrance I’d rather try than come right back here… unless I was craving the macaroon ice cream!

I’m so glad we waited in line for 30 minutes on a Saturday night because this place is easily one of the best restaurants that serves American sushi rolls!!! This is not a traditional Japanese restaurant that serves über fancy sashimi like those $$$$ Japanese restaurants in LA. I love those as much as the American Japanese sushi rolls and I’ve tried so many different rolls at different restaurants, and this is easily one of my favs!
Casual, affordable, fresh fish, generous portions, amazing flavors, serves Brick’s ice cream macarons, what more can I ask for?!
I love how they organized their sushi menu into «tempura», «fresh» and «hot» rolls. That made it so easy to order by picking one from each category! That saved us from reading the entire menu. We picked the Red spider roll which has tempura soft shell crab, the Hawaiian volcano roll including seared salmon and the Crazy Love roll which has fresh yellow tail and jalapeño. Also we ordered the sashimi salad and it’s so good! There were more fish than greens, first time ever! The sauce was also very delectable. All their rolls were very well done with spot-​on flavors and perfect proportions of seafood to rice to sauce!
Although they skipped us when they called for seating and put a wrong order sheet on our table, they had great and friendly service, and most of all AMAZING food for decent prices. We would definitely go back if we were in the area again.
They also carry Brick’s ice cream macaron and it’s the best way to end the meal! I’ve tried all flavors in different restaurants and I love cappuccino and vanilla the most!

Me gusto mucho el trato y la comida esta de lo mejor ordene un rollo con salmon y estaba buenisimo pero tardaron un poco al servirme pero la comida lo compenso en definitiva si regresare para probar mas de sus platillos tambien.
