I enjoyed the food there last night and I like their orange chicken and beef bowl. It was my first time eating at this specific yoshinoya branch and I liked it especially because I met a guy there last night. But I missed my chance to get his number. Im hoping he will see this and message me here.

I’ve been here countless of times(not ever using coupons until the recent newspaper issued a set) and they were 2 stars on average. Other yoshinoya establishments get 3 stars from me, but today’s visit to this one was terrible. The manager Claudia said she was«doing me a favor to give it to me this one time.» Ummm, clearly someone did not read correctly nor take a friendly approach to explain, but instead I got scorned and disrespected. Thanks, but you have lost my family’s patronism. Oh, and btw, yelling at me to move my car to the side cuz I am making the car behind me wait? Perhaps, you should have mentioned that nicely at the beginning.

I’ve had Yoshinoya before at other locations so I ignored the low rating on this one, I should’ve known there was a reason. Although the cashier at the drive through was nice, it seemed like a long wait. But, i dont hold it against them because I did come during peak times. My rating stems mostly from the food poising my son had after eating here. I’m not sure if it was the meat or the veggies, but it took a week for him to get normal. We even went as far as making an appointment with our doctor after a week of diarrhea. lucky for us, his stool was the only symptom he suffered from. Not counting the irritations he had due to his constant diaper changes. 6x in one day! Someone needs to call Kitchen Nightmares on this place and have it checked. Un*$&#&$ believable.

This place should not even get a star at all. What horror of a place 1030 in the evening. Waiting stuck in the drive through for just about 26 minutes half hour. Then I get to the window and dude tells me sorry we are now out of chicken? Um, wtf. This place needs a manager. Someone in the corporate office to acutely hire a manager. The one on beach and lampson. Is 100 present better than this place. I went inside after to speak to the manager. And she refused to speak with me? DONTEAT here. Very dirty as well inside!

Went here thinking I would try this spot out despite the horrible area it’s in. What would you know? A horrible experience. It first started when I hit a humongous pothole in the drive thru. Needless to say there is now a dent in my rim. I was then told there wouldn’t be any rice available for 20 min. I was unable to communicate with the lady working drive thru I guess she couldn’t hear me and I was stuck behind a bunch of cars already in the line waiting. I then backed up out of the drive thru and hit the same pothole hoping to reverse the damage already done to my rim, I’m joking. I then walked inside and was told they wouldn’t have any rice for 25 minutes. Now how is that possible when I was told 10 minutes ago it was gonna be 20 minutes? At this point I was ready to write a review about this place hoping to get some kind of change. I will deathly never come back here again and was wrong you suggest anybody that’s in the right mind I cool but I think were not to ever come here.

Walked in at 1015pm Sunday, closing time is midnight. lady tells us they have no rice and chicken. And the wait time for the rice is 30 minutes. WTF, the workers must be lazy or don’t know what they are doing. Worst Yoshinoya I ever been to.

Given the reviews it appears that Yoshi corporate does not really care what this franchise does. We were in on Saturday ordered a chicken dish, paid(in that order) and then we were told it would be 5 – 10 minutes for the chicken to cook, that’s not unreasonable so we were fine. At 32 minutes, after seeing person after person getting their food and leaving, I’m not saying they were racist but the everyone leaving was the same race at the folks behind the counter, we ask what was going on. They became very rude and instead of apologizing said, if your unhappy call that number, we don’t care. And repeated this. Their story for the delay changed 2X during this exchange. They could have offer a soda or an apology for a 40 minute wait at a fast food place but all we got was a message to never return.

Usually come by here with a coupon after Disney because it’s on the way home, open late, and half way healthy(I keep telling myself). My only issue is the wait at the drive through, sooooo slow. And they’ve gotten a little verklempt when I ask for certain items because they have oven issues or some madness. The spring rolls are bad, they should change distributor. I do like the shrimp, beef, and teriyaki chicken though.

I have seriously been sitting in the drive thru line for 20 minutes. How difficult can it be??? Every visit has terrible slow service. Not much can be expected from this ‘fast food’ joint

This one lady that works here at night is so rude!!! She should be fired!!! One thing I can’t stand the most is rude people. Giving me an attitude at the drive through window. If you hate your job so much then quit! No need to give people attitude and be rude for no reason. Annoying seriously.

I love yoshinoya soooo much. But… I came to the drive thru at 11:51 and the girl says«we have no more food». I thought it was a joke. But she just kept saying that. She said«what happens is when we get busy then we clean the grills and it takes a really long time to heat back up so we have no more food». Those exact words. Ummmmm ok lady, that makes sense.

We just tried this today only because we were undecided what to eat and it’s super late. Anyway, we enjoyed the food, eggs rolls were okay. But the little black haired chick who took the order was in a bad mood. I suggest don’t come here in the last hour before they close.

I gave 2 stars because since they changed the owner(s), the taste or quality of the foods is not great anymore. I’ve been going to this place back in 2002. I’ve been to other Yoshinoyas in Fullerton(State College & Champan) or the one in LA by USC or on La Cienega… They are wayyyy much better. Here in Garden Grove, the beef, I think they cook it with too much Kikkoman or something, so taste not original like what I remembered or used too. I gave it try 2x, so no more going here… Its ok going a bit farther, but the taste and quality is much better!

I use to not like Yoshinoya when I tried it over 15 years ago. I thought maybe it would be like the one in Japan but I was sadly mistaken. I thought the beef tasted like plastic. «Never again!» I vowed. Fast forward to a few years ago, when I decided to try it again because my husband wanted to eat it. It definitely has improved and tastes so much better! It is one of the better and healthier choices within the fast food chains. Yoshinoya is known for their beef bowls, however, I prefer the chicken. I like how it is crispy and the sauce is not too salty or sweet. I always ask for extra sauce because it never is consistent on how much they pour on top of the chicken. I usually get the chicken with veggies and put Sriracha on top. My husband loves the teriyaki wings with the coleslaw. They are actually pretty good. Prices are reasonable, and the bonus of this location is that they have a drive-thru. It is unfortunate that the other location on Harbor and Adams has closed down, so this will be the main location that I will have to get my Yoshinoya fix. I tried the orange chicken they had, and I will be skipping that and stick to my usual chicken. Employees that I have interacted with have been friendly, except once with a female employee. I actually have never gone inside this location, always go thru the drive-thru. That’s why this location is so great for lazy peeps like me who want a healthier option: D

Horrible Lady that works there today(Saturday January 92016; 9:20pm), just right now ordered food and was very rude with a very unwelcoming attitude, and when I asked for 6 gingers she only gave me three for an order of 3 plates and when I asked for 3 more she made a smirk and sarcastically stated«sorry» and then she does not wear her name tag to be able to identify her and when I looked in the receipt for her name it said«Emergency Manager«how convenient I would recommend Yoshinoya to make sure who they are hiring bc you can really see she does not want to be there… In years of Customer Service this was a very unpleasant leaves a bad taste in my mouth and thats not good for a buissness

I used to like yoshinoya food because of vegetable beef bowl. I worked in this franchise years ago and the quality of food way better. Now, they are trying to add more food that is not even that great. I’m craving for yoshinoya so I went and got myself a meal. Total of the meal tonight is $around $ 10. Paid that much for little of beef, vegetables and more rice. Why would I need more rice? They should have given more beef, not rice!

Hey guys well i love this food. But two different times i came at night its been SUPERBAD. First time i came through drive through and a worker asked how can i help you. I asked for my food and i never again i got a response. I had to park my car. Go inside and i asked who was the person taking my order because i was waiting there with no response she said in a rude high tone of voice. «Me «i explaid to her i was out there and her comment was«well now you are here.» It was the thing that killed my night Now this time i came in to front count. The guy who took my order looked like he came straight from the restroom never once saw him was his hands. Was rubbing his arms across his nosie and face several times. Once i paid i aat down and saw that everone even saw the COOK on there PHONES and having gatherings in the lobby. Until someone from the back came and ask«YOUWAITINGFORSOMETHING?» I didnt wana comment the fact iv been waiting 10 mins and seeing the whole resturant empty. When my food was given i had to fix my plate in the bag because when i first lifted the bag the plate was vertical. I asked for the Managers name and no one knew her name. And no one was a supervisor everbody was just working there. Great food so please do not stop going just be sure you are ready for rock bottom serves…

I don’t know who in the right mind would give this place more than two stars. This location has the worst staff. I also blame my dumb stomach and brain for being hungry and craving a teriyaki bowl. It was around 11:00PM so I didn’t have much options. The only star worthy of this place is that they have a drive thru. That’s it. Food is garbage. Staff is rude. The person who took mine and my boyfriend’s order was UGH. Long story short. We were waiting for the woman to collect our payment for about good 10 minutes. Wtf were you doing in the back? Did you run to the farm to get more chicken? Then, she proceeds to give me an attitude when I asked for an extra teriyaki sauce. 65 cents for extra teriyaki sauce, fine. I was willing to pay for it. She goes back to the cooking/prepping area for about another 5 minutes, brings out the food and hands them to me. My boyfriend politely asked the staff«can we get a side of teriyaki sauce?» She then gives us a are you f*cking kidding me look and says«I told you it’s extra charge. I didn’t charge it on the bill so do you want me to get it for you or not?» YESBITCH. I ASKEDYOUWHEN I HANDEDYOUMYCARD. It was pretty clear that she was talking shit with her employees afterwards. Annoyed, I just drove off and promised myself that if I ever crave this place, I would slap myself and that I will never return to this specific location. Honestly though, Yoshinoya doesn’t even taste good.

Wish you could give negative stars. Seriously. Ordered the Angus Beef bowl. Made a huge mistake by asking for extra green onions. Instead of just putting them«in» the bowl — these A holes put them on the side… so they can charge extra. What a jerk thing to do. Customer service at its finest. And the food isn’t very good anyways. This is a «convenience» purchase only. Convenient only that it’s so close by. (On a positive note — the ice cubes are cold) My recommendation: eat at Flamebroiler. Not only is the quality better, but also the prices. Oh yeah and they’re not trying to nickel and dime you to death. EATATFLAMEBROILER!

Great customer service! I recently joined their bowler club and it states to print out my coupon for buy one get one free. I don’t have a printer ATM, and I just took my phone and asked the manager if it was fine. She was a bit hesitate, but then just checked my ID and took my order. I very much appreciated that!(Day was 4÷21÷15 at 5:00pm) Good job manager! She was also very nice! I just love yoshinoya so much! I could eat it everyday lol! This location is a lot better than others in my opinion!
