Love this little hidden gem! My personal favorite is the vegetarian healthy sandwich. So filling. Subs & Suds is the go to place for when you need a quick grab and don’t want to compromise quality eating.

I stumbled upon this place on Unilocal, and it really is a hidden gem! It is a small, family-owned business that makes delicious sandwiches for a really cheap price. Considering I was on the lookout for something freshly made and delicious(I was really crossing my fingers looking at the 4-stars review), Subs & Suds is definitely somewhere I’d try again. I ordered The Californian, a sandwich that comes with meat, cheese, avocado, a sprinkle of crunchy, crispy bacon, and a whole lot of veggies. The sandwiches here aren’t huge like Subway’s, but they definitely stack all the goodness in between the bread. A plus is that nothing really fell out of the sandwich while I was eating it, considering the amount of lettuce and vegetables they had. Their customer service also made the sandwich options pretty customizable, as the lady who took our order asked if we wanted specific items in it. They have a lot of variety on the menu, from breakfast burritos to vegetarian sandwiches and also salads! Everything is also freshly made, since behind the cashier there really isn’t a window to hide the kitchen from open view. Overall, it was a pleasant cheap place to go out to lunch with a friend! The store’s location might be a bit hard to find if you’re driving down Garden Grove, and it is a bit obscure, but that’s why it’s a hidden gem. The décor could have been a lot better, but since it is family-owned and attracts such a small crowd, the seating arrangements and minimalist(almost bare) store was perfectly fine!

This is a small mom and pop shop, it can be a bit difficult to see it from the street because the signage is small and it’s located near office buildings. Since it’s located near my work place I come here pretty often. My favorite sandwich here is the Californian, it comes with lots of meat(turkey and ham), cheese, lots of veggies, avocado and crispy bacon. I really enjoy the crunch from the crispy bacon and creamy texture from the avocado. You can choose either white or wheat bread for this sandwich. It is definitely very filling because they are very generous with the amount of meat and veggies they put into the sandwich and it is much better than Subways. They also have breakfast burrito, salads and healthy low calorie sandwiches to choose from as well.

Sandwich was amazing! Super filled with turkey and tons of fresh veggies. I got the healthy turkey, if I ever get the chance to go back, I’m definitely trying the veggie sandwich. The lady was friendly and had a smile upon her face, she seemed sweet.

Awful service the owner is rude and condescending. We had been coming here for a while, and makes snide comments. Asked her what sandwich she preferred and she ignored me. Asked her about a menu item and she responded«can’t you read.»

Found this place on Unilocal!I have been there twice and both times have gotten the californian sub. It’s awesome. All of the ingredients are fresh. This is my new spot when i’m in the mood for a sub. Lady working the counter is also super friendly. Awesome place!

I love this place! It’s a hidden gem right by work. My coworkers and I go here all the time for breakfast, lunch, or for a smoothie break. It’s a mom and pop shop so their service is extraordinary :). We always call in for our order and walk there to pick up our food. The portions are huge for a decent price. I had the Turkey & Swiss, BLT, Chicken Philly, Philly Cheese steak, and Veggie Wrap. In the morning, I usually just stick with a Breakfast Sandwich w/bacon and cheese. This is pretty much a BLT w/an egg and cheese. The awesome part about these sandwiches is that you choose your bread! And they ask if you want mayo or not. Their coffee is made to perfection! It’s as if they know exactly how to make my coffee. I got their iced coffee w/cream and sugar and usually I’m hesitant to have them put in the cream and sugar for me, but they did a good job. It wasn’t too sweet, but sweet enough. They also have amazing smoothies! I always get the green tea healthy. I never feel guilty drinking it :). I love this place!

Found a sandwich spot near work! Score! Sandwiches are good, service is fine… Don’t know what more I need to say about sandwiches. Just filling up space cause Unilocal is saying my review is too short.

The sandwiches are delicious. This is my new favorite sandwich place. Be sure to ask for pepperccini to go with your sandwich. It’s close to my job and looks like a business area but it was a great find by my Co-worker. The prices are great too!

Descent sandwich place. I got the turkey sandwich my first time, it was a good size with lots of lettuce. Second time was the tuna melt, not bad but probably wouldn’t have it again. Large menu. Good place if you are near and want a quick bite to eat, I would not seek it out otherwise.

S side of GG Blvd W of the 22 Freeway(Industrial Complex) I’m really surprised that this place isn’t more popular and rated higher. I say that because I’ve had nothing but good experiences here. The place has a pretty vast menu, the service is nice, the subs are delicious, and there’s plenty of seating inside. On my most recent visit I had their«Submarine Sandwich»: which had 3 types of pretty good quality meats, cheese, and fresh veggies with mayo on a Bakery Fresh Roll. Each bite of one of these sammies brings a big smile upon my face. There’s plenty of seating inside and outside in the form of regular tables. There is also plenty of parking.

I usually have lunch here every other day, it’s close to work. Sandwich is great I usually get the turkey sandwich #10 and a small veggie soup, also had tuna melt, turkey wrap, everything in this sub shop is good except for there teriyaki chicken. The Korean lady up front she really nice always welcoming. They do required $ 5.00 min for credit card usage. Parking is plenty since it is in a business center.

Only reason I come here is because it’s close to work. The breakfast menu is … meh. There cold sandwiches and special subs are surprisingly good! My favorite is the Californian on wheat. Also good: turkey and swiss, roast beef, tuna salad(a lot of mayo :/), philly steak and the club. The sandwiches can get expensive for what you’re getting. It’s owned by an older couple and they are nice enough. Initially I thought the lady was rude but come to find out it’s more of a language barrier. She’s actually really sweet. It’s a small place with some patio seating and it’s only open during business hours for all the surrounding busniess offices.

I used to work in the offices right next to this place. I always ordered the tuna healthy on squaw bread. They always gave me a free homemade cookie with every order. The sandwich was a pretty decent size and filled me up pretty good. If you’re in the area, I’d definitely recommend this place. Way better than Subway. Sandwiches range from $ 4 – 6. They also serve teriyaki, wraps, and breakfast food. They also cater for events. Tip: credit card charges require $ 5 minimum.
