Living Social had a deal for scarves( ). The deal was $ 20 for $ 40. The current promotion is free shipping via super saver/Amazon if you place an order $ 50+ BUT it cannot be combined with the Living Social deal. However, deal of $ 40 can be put towards the shipping. The online checkout process is quite fast and simple. Nothing too complicated. They even allow you to purchase your items without creating an account which is nice if you do not plan on purchasing frequently from them or for security reasons. They also have a «sister» or in this case a «brother» account«ties.com». It is nice to see a clothing/accessory company catering to both men and women. You can buy from either store and the items will be added to a single cart versus two. Does it work with the deal? I am not sure. They offer a variety of materials including acrylic, blended, polyester, recycled, silk and viscose. You can sort by color, season and even for him! **Heads up to anyone who lives near Garden Grove, gets off work early and/or has a day off during the workweek(M-F)** Call and ask the customer service representative if you can place your order via telephone and pick up at the warehouse. Unfortunately, I work 5 days a week and get off after they close. So sadly, I was unable to pick up my order. I had to fork over the cash instead *tear*. This might be a case to case situation, so I recommend calling and asking beforehand if you live or drive by the area. The representative that was assisting me, Jennifer, was quite nice and helpful in answering my questions. Oh and very polite as well. One last thing… they also provide tutorial on how to tie long scarves. So if you want to try out a new style or technique you can visit their website, even if you do not buy anything. I placed the order on 1/8, it was shipped on 1⁄9 and arrived 2⁄14. When my scarves arrived I was shocked to find them in a purple felt envelope/bag(~13″ x 9″), super cute! I think that is a nice«personal» touch. I absolutely love it, it was a nice surprise. I wish I received one for each scarf but eh, one is better than none. The color of the scarves match perfectly with what was shown online. The quality and texture are nice as well. No pashmina scarves this time but overall I am really enjoying my scarves.

So I have a mixed bag of emotions about . I heard about this site when I purchased a Groupon and went shopping. First, of all I saw the offer that you spend $ 50 and get free shipping. Since I had a groupon worth $ 40, I knew I would be able to hit that mark easily. So I started shopping and was completely disappointed by the site. Most of the scarves were either back ordered or out of stock. This was Oct. 21. They said I would received the scarves on Dec. 8. Second, I noticed it had a sister site of . Pretty awesome, they have extra long sizes. This part of it impressed me. Two sites, one cart and one order. I only needed one tie, so I spent most of my time on . I found it difficult to find items I wanted in order to hit the $ 50 mark. There were so many items unavailable. The way everything is priced, you had to spend way over $ 50 to get the free shipping. So I gave up and spent $ 49.97. December 8th came and went. Then I received an email where two of my items shipped but not the third. I had to call to figure out what went wrong. It turns out one of my items was sold-out. They said that Groupon sold too many certificates and that their billing system was messed up. So, Jennifer the customer service person figured it out, found a scarf for me and rushed the delivery. However, the only thing explaining this situation to me was going to be in a letter tucked into my order. They could have easily emailed me. I am just not impressed by their excuses and reasoning. I do not think I would ever order from them again.
