I recieved recommendations from friends reguarding this place and I had to try it. And boy was that the best decision. My boyfriend ordered the japanese miso hot pot and I ordered the house special; delicious. The workers there are so attentive and sweet. I ordered a 7up, but I heard the strawberry lemonade was to die for; I’d definitely gwt it next time. My boyfriend got the milk tea, YUMM!!! I’d definitely recommend this spot to my friends and I hope all the Unilocalers will go and give it a try. You won’t regret it Definitely going back!

Pretty good customer service, everyone is really nice! Just a tip, there are three levels of spiciness: Flaming Mild, Flaming Hot, and Red Flame. I got«Flaming Hot» thinking that it was mild just because it was the middle one… It was crazy spicy! Besides that, the food was decent.

I love this place! I have been coming here since it first opened and it still tastes amazing to me. The service may not be the best at times, but the hot pot makes up for it in my book. My go-to hot pot is the Korean Kimchi with vermicelli. There’s just something about the broth that’s so tasty. The meat that comes with it isn’t the best; it’s a little rough but overall, the hot pot is great for $ 10.95 each. I’ve also tried: House Special, Thai Tom Yum, Beef, Japanese Miso, and Seafood. BUT the Korean Kimchi tops them all! Altogether, I love this place and I will keep on coming back. :) Also, they have pretty good Thai tea and free green tea during lunch hours from 11AM — 3PM.

After a 30 minute wait and 20 min wait for the food to arrive. I’d say this place ain’t that bad. They were under staffed. so no biggie. But the food was decent. Got 2 house specials and a Tom-Yum.totaling $ 36. The tea is free

This is my 2nd time at this place. I usually go to boiling point but this place is actually better! Awesome service! Great taste, really really nice people !!! I love how you get space here! They let you substitute certain things you don’t want in your soup! The flavor of the soups are so good! I love this place! Will be back again!!! My new soup spot!

I can’t help but compare this place to other places. I personally prefer Boiling point for the soup and the sauce. I think it has a lot more flavor. My dad prefers it here because there is a more Vietnamese flavor to the soup here. And it’s cheaper by a couple dollars. They do give a lot of food in their souls for such a cheap price though($ 11) I came back because I wanted to try their steak. I tried something like this in London before, so I was so excited to try it here since they made one at home. But I was a little disappointed. It wasn’t horrible, but it was just mediocre. It comes with a salad and two sides, which again is a good amount of food for $ 15. It comes with hot sauce(franks hot?), A1, and barbecue sauce. It needs another sauce to make it stand out to me. But like I said before, it wasn’t bad! Service here is really great and they’re all very friendly and attend to you quickly! They’re really nice so that was the good part.

It was meh. Not super amazing but it was decent for their prices. Food– I got the beef hot pot, it was okay. I mean the meats and everything tasted good, soup was typically. The sauces they had on the side were kind of bad though. I usually dip my beef and meats into a sweet soy sauce & chili oil like the ones they would have at kbbq, however their sauces here are nothing like that and their«chili oil» had a very weird nonlikeable taste to it. Although it does look small, they do give you a lot of meats and things that you order. Service– I can see that they are hiring and that is probably why there are only two workers and one of them is really new or barely is training. The more experienced one was very helpful. The place looks dead. When we walked in there were some parties, but it was just kind of dead in there. Price– Every hotpot is $ 10.95 which is pretty inexpensive for the amount of food you get. I probably would only come here if it was a really cold day, and I wanted cheap hot pot that I did not have to wait so long for. It is not entirely bad, just not entirely good or ultimately satisfying. I wouldn’t recommend this to my friends, but maybe just maybe if it was a really cold day and I was not in the mood to wait in line.

I came here for the first time with my siblings(party of five). We were seated right away. First impression, I love the high seat booths. It gave a little privacy, which I like. The service was awesome. Our waiter was super helpful and friendly. He took the time to explain to us the level of spicyness. He suggested we get mild spicy and we can always adjust it if it was not spicy enough. I got the house special and it was delicious and very flavorful. The portion was good. I left satisfied and full. I’m going to bring my friends here next time.

This is a good spot to go to if you want something warm. I go here when its cold out and i want something warm to eat. This location is very small and in a very random center. Its like boiling point but better in my opinion. I like the flavors of the broth here more. I always get the original pot that they are famous for and i never have any regrets! I also want to try their sizzling steaks! Ive only been here two times but will definitely be coming back to try their steaks!

My friends and I came here around 5pm and we were seated right the way because there was no one else in the restaurant except us. Food: 4⁄5 We ordered 2 ribeye steaks and 2 house special hot pots. There are 2 options for you to choose between 10oz ribeye and 10oz New York steak. Steak comes out with salad, 2 sides of your choice which are mashed potatoes, potato wedges, rice, steam vegetables, and 3 sauces(I’m not sure what exactly those sauces were but they were tasted like sweat&sour sauce, bbq sauce, and peanut sauce to me). There are 10 kinds of hot pots for you to choose. The ingredients are described under each picture of hot pot. Each hot pot comes with noodles or rice. You get to choose level of spiciness which are mid, hot, and red flame. We didn’t try escargot. The quality of food was not bad. I would return for the hot pot. Service: 2⁄5 The waitress who served us was not friendly at all. She even didn’t check up on us and refilled water even though there was barely any customers in the restaurant. Price: 4⁄5 $ 10.95 for each hot pot $ 14.95 for steak $ 8.50 for each dish of escargots $ 1.00−2.95 for add on $ 1.50−4.95 for drink $ 0 for water ;) The prices are alright and affordable. Tip: No split check. Free green tea comes with hot pot if you go here during lunch time 11am-3pm. The broth is really spicy. I’m good at eating spicy food, but ordering hot level was a mistake. Steak is still cooking since it is in lava stone. If you like your steak cooked medium rare, order rare.

Not THAT terrible, but not a place I’d be coming back to. For starters, we had to place our utensils ourselves, the girl serving us just kind of threw it on our table. Luckily I came when there was no wait to be seated… Yet I waited over 20+ minutes for my food. A couple that got seated way after my party of 3 ordered and got their food the same time we did. So that was a little annoying. On to the food, I got the lamb. For a lamb dish, $ 10.95 is relatively cheap; plus the quality of the lamb wasn’t too bad! But as far as what they put inside the hot pot. This is where the biggest problem is. They list tons of items you get in your pot but you really only get one piece of things. I didn’t even get some of the things listed now that I am looking over the menu, lol. You’d think that since nappa cabbage is cheap so they’d include a decent amount. But nope. Instead the pot is loaded with tons of «picked mustard greens». Gross. PLUS, I don’t know why they decided to put string beans in there, but there’s that too. But the broth isn’t bad, so they got that going! All in all, I’d rather pay a little more and even get Boiling Point to-go. This place just wasn’t working for me :(

Few friends and I came here to give it a try since we were in the area. It seemed like it was a very good place since there was about a 30min wait. We ordered and everyone’s entry was correct, but wrongly prepared. We all had either the rib eye steak or New York steak. Most of us ordered medium/medium well. And all of our steaks came out well done with too much oil on top. All of our side dishes were cold by the time they brought us our food, which was very disappointing. They tasted like if it just came out of a frozen/defrosted bag… We never received our house special hot pot to share amongst the group and they tried to charge us for it. They did eventually remove it off the bill and apologized for not bringing it out with our order. I would have to say the only good thing from this experience here was the Mango Lemonade. It was pretty damn good, it overtook the quality of the steak. So the drinks were better than the actual food and they really need to improve their customer service. We might be back in the future to see if things change, but it won’t be anytime soon after this first experience.

I’ve been wanting to try this place so I can compare it to boiling point like everyone else. The best part is that this is way cheaper than boiling point especially for the Thai and miso dish. But you definitely get what you pay for. My pot was full of just soup and little meat and veggies like that of boiling point. The soup was just as tasty as that of BP and there was no line. BP is still # 1 in my books!

Room for improvement. The quality of food here still hits the spot, but during the last few visits service has been short and lacking. Once food is brought out no one comes by to check on our needs. We’ve had to walk up to pay our tab several times because the lack of service. To me, service here is a deal breaker. Both quality of food and service is what defines a restaurant establishment in creating the whole package experience for its guests.

We’re here for vacation and wandered off here. This place stood out from the area and thought we should give it a try. The interior was very nice. We ordered the ribeye and the house special soup. The ribeye was amazing although the potato fries were a little undercooked, and the house special, you’re able to choose spicy levels, we chose the most spiciest. It was great, especially because of the weather. Their strawberry lemonade was so good, I’d go back there just for that. The waiter was okay, he didn’t bring us water until after our food. And he took forever for our check. Overall, it was a great experience.

I didn’t think the place was too bad. I enjoyed it perhaps better than Boiling Point just because the place didn’t smell like stinky tofu and it was more spacious. Unfortunately, our fire kept going out and the service was extremely slow, despite just 2 – 3 other tables being served. A free green tea came with a hotpot ordered!

Located across from regals movie theaters on Chapman. The plaza is kind of dark and imo, empty. Second time coming here and my feelings for it are the same as the first time. It’s not bad for a cold night. There was no waits at all both times I’ve visited, but I can see this place picking up. I wish they would serve more fresh meats. We ordered a side of lamb and once cooked it was hard and dry just like their beef. They could also maybe cut the pieces in half? Idk, but beef and lamb. when cooked its just this huge blob of super dry meat. Good thing is, I really like their house special broth and ramen noodles that it comes with! :)

Food is 3 stars, but service/efficiency bumps this place to 4. This is a hot pot place very similar to Boiling Point. Pick a soup, pick your spicy level, and you can opt for rice/vermicelli. I also enjoy how they provide«pitchers» of water(a nice touch for guys like me who drink a lot of water). Service is top notch; the wait time may appear long but the workers just want to get patrons in and out ASAP. They do a really good job while maintaining strong service to customers. I respect business’ that are really efficient w/their time. My only complaint is I wish the bowl would get«hotter» quicker via the flame; it took my bowl a good 3 – 4 minutes for it to start boiling after the employee ignited it. You’ll see what I’m talking about when it takes forever for the egg to cook inside your soup. Korean Kimchi — $ 11 — 3.5÷5 — Slightly above average The Korean Kimchi was enjoyable & the broth was pretty flavorful. My only complaint is the meat was a bit rough, but overall it was still OK. Japanese Miso — $ 11 — 3.5÷5 Slightly above average The Miso was solid. My wife enjoyed it. It wasn’t the best but it hits the spot. TIP — this comes w/udon noodles so you may not want vermicelli. TIPS: –Wait times may appear long, but service is solid and they move the line quickly. –The«flame» takes a while for your soup to be hot, prob a good 3 – 4 mins.

I am a huge fan of hot pot that I would eat it even when its a hot summer day or night when I like soup. I had the lamb hot pot then nothing too special about the yellow broth they used. They use similar ingredients like other hot pot places with the clear Asian noodle having a choice of having rice or more noodles that come with your hot pot. I like noodles so extra noodles in my soup always satisfies my appetite. The chili oil is good to use then don’t use a lot when it has chilies in it that you might end up coughing lots being its spicy. Also I had the escargots as an appetizer then they were huge ones not like at a french restaurant so the taste is different even though its flavored with garlic and butter. This is worth a try if you’re really into hot pot or want to try other hot pot places. Don’t expect anything like its going to be as good as Boiling Point.
