Been eating here for the past 10yrs, but haven’t even think about writing a review. You know how u eat at ur usual place even Unilocal exist so u tend to forget? Yeah that happen. This place is family own, been around forever so don’t expect nicely décor and extraordinary cleanliness. However, the food remain excellent all these year. They expand their menu by putting the new menu picture around the wall. Their egg noodle are chewy and their broth are flavorful. Today I order hu tieu mi long heo(pig intestine) and it was cook perfectly. The texture of the intestine are crunchy and soft, and the ginger in the broth help take away the smell. Service was friendly as usual. You can now also buy the Chinese donut togo.

I’ve never really been here out of all my years of living in Garden Grove. Now that I’m in Orange I rarely even come down anymore. Everytime I do I would see this restaurant but its usually always dead to me. So finally I decided to give it a try. My friend really likes this place but I’m more of a Trieu Chau fan… the newer one not that original one that served me purple shrimp, but I digress. Its a typical Asian restaurant. The décor is average the tables were sticky, at least mine was but I’m used to that. I ordered a bowl of egg noodle soup and was in for quite a treat. My friend had been telling me how delicious it was and she genuinely really loves it. I’ll be honest, I’m doing her a solid cause it was probably 2.8 stars for me. The noodles were solid and good but the soup was lacking a bit. I don’t know, it just didn’t tastes as delicious as I would have liked. Still it hit the spot I guess and I was left pretty content though a bit uneasy on the stomach. Overall the service was ok, the food was ok and the décor was… ok. Would I come back? Probably not as I feel there are better options in the area. This place does get packed though and parking can be a struggle depending on the time you go. If they polish up their look a bit I might return but as of now, I’ll stick to my OG spot.

I loved this place for about ten years growing up now. Unfortunately, the Asian waitress went ham today and yelled at a lot of the customers. Gravely disappointed since I used to go here so much. A customer asked about a certain charge and she started yelling about what the charge was for. I think I was taken aback more than the customer was since the customer thinks it’s ok… but it’s not okay to be yelled like that by anyone. Place isn’t exactly sparkling clean, got a tea with a small hair in it :( Don’t think I’ll be coming back to this childhood favorite.

This place has been the exact same for as long as I can remember. The décor and food have been unchanged through all these years. By today’s standards, this place would be labeled a hole-in-the-wall. However, I can always depend on the consistency in the quality of food and will continue to stay a loyal customer.

Great egg noodles here. This is a place where you come for the food and nothing else as are many places in this area is. They have 3 locations, one being just a mile away. This one however is much cleaner than the other. That’s not saying much but it is still way cleaner here. I don’t know how the other one hasn’t been shit down by the health department. I love ordering number 13. It comes dry with broth on the side, pork, chicken and shrimp. All of their egg noodles are very good though. You can tell right away the quality in their noodles from your first bite. 5 starts only based on their food.

First time visiting this location but I have visited there other locations. I wasn’t too impressed with the other 2 locations that’s why I hesitated coming here, was I wrong! Ordered the wonton/roast pork noodle soup and roast duck noodle soup. Both were very good and the broth was spot on! The roast duck was fresh and tasted very good, the wontons were pleasantly flavorful and quite good. I recommend this location and also the price is right! Plenty of parking(weekends can be quite crowded), friendly staff and clean.

I’ve frequented the Mi La Cay on Bolsa for almost 20 years but randomly decided to try this location out due to other Unilocalers saying the quality here was better. So my curiosity trumped my habits and so my hungover-self dragged myself from Long Beach to get my noodle soup fix. This location is in a smaller plaza than the Bolsa location, but it is much less hectic due to not having a giant ABC supermarket in the same strip. First impressions were that the interior is definitely brighter and cleaner and not as sparse feeling as the Bolsa location. I can’t really say that the food was leaps and bounds better(I got the #1 Dac Biet Egg Noodle Soup that comes with Shrimp, Pork, and Chicken which hit the spot), but what I can say is that the service I received here was top notch! I was flabbergasted at how great it was as I have never come to expect any type of stellar service from a mom & pop Vietnamese restaurant and that’s just how it is, and I’ve never thought anything about it. However the lady who served us actually came and asked me to refill my water. I was in complete SHOCK. I don’t think anyone has ever refilled my water before! She continued to check on us to make sure we were doing fine and always had the sweetest smile on her face. She is definitely the reason I will definitely be moving my business to this location in the future!

A typical Vietnamese/Chinese egg noodle joint in the thick of garden grove. I’ve been going here since I was a little kid so I reminds me of my childhood. The owner is a very friendly lady and she’s really funny and accommodating. You can even heard her yell out orders in Spanish lol I usually order the mi vit thiem(egg noodles with a marinated dark meat duck) and I have it with the soup. I really like how they throw some greens into the soup for you. Nice crunch. I also order the chao quay… It’s like a deep fried Chinese donut. I let it soak up the broth and I eat it up all sopping wet lol yummy… If you think the noodles aren’t enough you, you can add an extra serving of noodles when you’re initially ordering. I don’t know about afterwards. I’ve never done that lol Things to note: The noodles and broth is a bit on the oily side but it adds to the flavor. The parking is horrendous so beware. It can get crowded so be prepared for a wait. If you’re gonna drink water, I’d opt for the iced tea instead. It’s better for you and doesn’t take much different(: Overall, love this little home-y place. I’m always back

Not good Vietnamese food compared to well, anywhere. We went in as some of our relatives said it was decent Vietnamese but it was far from it unfortunately. The place looked like a typical Vietnamese restaurant and the menu looked promising but it didn’t live up to our expectations. It was very quiet for lunch but we rolled with it. The food looked well presented but lacked flavour and taste. The noodles were very soft and the deep fried food were soggy with oil and cold. Everything seemed pre-cooked and reheated for us. Although the portion size was ok.

When I want mi this is definitely the place that won’t disappoint. Quick service and their broth is always on point. The parking and seating is small but the product is worth it. It’s definitely a hard pick for me between this place and Trieu chau.

I ordered a to-go wonton bbq pork soup. We came at the time the restaurant is closing. So our order is the last one of the day. I find the soup tasted quite good and true to the authentic Vietnamese Chinese wonton version. although the broth is salty, which is expected because it was boiled all day. I wish the bbq pork is tender and tastier. And, they should include some chives for garnishing.

Small hole in the wall noodle spot that would probably scare away a lot of non-locals. But get over the fear, battle the parking and make the trek to this spot. Chinese noodles are their speciality here. Go with the #1 Trieu Chau, you can get it either with soup or without. There is also the option to have wide noodles or thin noodles. Whichever direction you choose you can’t go wrong. Also put in an order of siu mai(ground pork meat ball) and Chinese donuts. The bowl of noodles come out fast and piping hot. You’ll find yourself digging for more deep fried shrimp as well as the bits of deep fried pork skin. In your bowl will also be a perfectly fried piece of chicken and slices of boiled pork. All around you will be happy folks slurping away at their noodles as they fuel up for the day.

This is a tiny restaurant with seating about 50 people max. Still, it gets pretty packed on the weekends. Why? Because they have the best Vietnamese/Chinese style wonton noodle soup around. We only order it dry with the soup on the side for better noodle texture and flavor. We also always ask for extra veggies(lettuce, bean sprouts, and chives) on the side at no charge. It’s located in Little Saigon, so don’t expect«great ambiance.» They’re about the noodles and quick service. Which is perfect for a foodie, like me.

Love, love, love the noodles here! Great bite… Not soggy, just great texture. Prices are reasonable. Not outrageous. I mean, there’s a handful of Viet joints nowadays that charge a grip for«normal everyday Viet food.» Not too shabby here. About $ 8 a pop with iced tea. Several locations BUTTHISLOCATIONTASTESTHEBESTTOME. Dac Biet Kho is my deal. Combo of Ga Quay, Xa Xiu, Tom Chien with He and Xa Lach(roasted chicken, Chinese bbq pork, fried shrimp, chives, salad), on a bed of their delicious noodles with a small side bowl of hot soup. Condiments are on the table… Some-some of mustard, sate, red vingear and pickled peppers… Hmmmmm hmmmmmmm hmmmmm! My favorite spot for DRYNOODLES. Final thought… Great dry noodles, decent prices. Try, try, TRY!

Place is great, Two ladies I usually see never work the same day, but you will see one of them. Both are really nice and attentive. I used to get the Fried Shrimp but got over it, still good nonetheless. I come here for the dry noodles either the Mi(egg noodles) or Hu Tieu(rice noodles) Ga Quay(Roasted Chicken) or the Vit Quay(Roasted Duck). I’d recommend those dishes if you’re hesitant of getting something for the first time. I also enjoy eating the pork grinds here.

This is the best mi restaurant in OC! It’s all in the noodles, their egg noodles are the best consistency… chewy and soft! The service is always impeccable, the older lady that works here is always sweet and friendly.

This Mi La Cay is significantly better than the one located on Westminster BLVD. Although the other location is closer to my apartment, my boyfriend and I frequently travel the three or four miles further to this location because it is THAT much better. The soup here is so filling and savory and hot. I always get the hu tieu dac biet, It comes with chicken, some bbq pork, some delicious fried shrimp, and assorted veggies. My favorite part about this soup bowl is that the soup is so very flavorful. The other mi la cay tasted just like salty water. Nope. This one is much different – trust me. The service here is also wonderful. There is a woman here who is so chipper and nice and understanding. She gave us water consistently and chatted to us a bit before we left. She is funny and very nice. I would hands down visit here again. Just typing this review makes me want to go back for another bowl of noodle soup! They are doing it right.

Best spot for mi/Hu Tieu in bolsa, besides trieu Chau. However, they have the yellow sauce here. I’m not much of a Mi person, but I definitely give it to Mi La Cay as to having the best quality in the area. I used to get mi vit quay or mi xa xiu small noodle and dry. Now I have switched to Hu Tieu vit tiem. So Yums. For the newbies, you get to pick what size noodle you want. You can get the noodle in the soup, or dry but they give you a separate bowl with soup in it. Keep it mind it comes with veggies and bean sprouts, so if you don’t prefer those additions, let them know. You can ask for scissors if you cannot handle the noodles. Ask for the pork rinds. Don’t forget to order xu mai.

It’s Mi La Cay not Mi La Cac. Mi La Cay has been around for a long time. They have several locations in the Little Saigon area and all the locations are pretty consistent. They serve your typical Cantonese egg noodles, tables are sticky and the waiters don’t really give a crap about service quality. It’s nothing out of the ordinary for your typical Asian restaurant. Overall, Mi La Cay is your perfect spot to have a quick brunch and be on your way. No frills and not a big bill.

My BF and I are kind of on a journey to find the best Mi Kho(Dry Egg Noodles) around Westminster and well… this place isn’t one of them. I’ve been to the different Mi La Cay’s before, but this was my first time at this specific location. It’s in a small plaza and parking isn’t the best so good luck with that. The place is pretty small inside, but it’s not too cramped where you’re sitting like right next to another group. What we got: Mi Kho Dau Hao Thap Cam($ 5.35): Combination dry noodles with oyster sauce. It comes with a side of soup which I found pretty good. For $ 2 more though, you can upgrade your bowl to a large. Is it worth it? I don’t think so. My BF got a large and it didn’t look like that much different compared to mine. The dish had a piece of chicken, pork slices, a couple pieces of deep-fried shrimp, and lettuce. Noodles were stuck together, clumpy, and it tasted just like plain egg noodles. Service: The grandma that seated us and took our order was very nice. She was always smiling! But I mean after getting our food… that was all the service you’re going to get which is normal at Vietnamese restaurants.
