I LOVETHISPLACE! The environment is not a Starbucks with plenty of tables and couches, but it is cozy enough when I need to a quiet place(no loud background music or cold AC blasting) to study or to meet up with a friend. They have the BEST hot chocolate there and I love my hot chocolate! Haven’t had better yet. My boyfriend also love their hot drinks there. I have never tried any of the blended drinks, smoothies, or delicious looking desserts so I cannot comment on that. The service here is also excellent. All of the workers are really friendly! Sadly, I think this place just closed down.

Now this is what coffee drinks should be with great customer service. The Milky Way latte is yummy. If you’re not much of a regular chocolate fan, ask for white chocolate. MMM. It’s almost as fantastic as the dulce de leche latte I had at Milk(in Los Angeles). Now I just wish they had a drive-thru or even one closer to me.

Close spot for lunch. Went in around 1:00PM. Nice quiet comfortable seating area. Free Wifi. BLT and cup of soup and a soda for $ 5.00 something. Food was OK. Sandwich had that«mom-made-it-on-a-lazy-Sunday-afternoon» feel to it. Service was GREAT! I’m sure I’ll come get coffee here soon.

I love their hot chocolate! Starbucks’ hot chocolate has a coffee base that is too bitter for my liking. Kelly’s hot chocolate is wonderful with the dollop of whipped cream and chocolate swirl for a Fall evening.

Something about this place put me off every-other-day that I passed it by. I’m not sure why, I just wasn’t all that interested in stopping in. UNTIL — oh yes, there’s an «until» — I saw a big, fancy sign announcing their $ 4.99 Hebrew Nation hot dog, chips, and soda lunch special. After the disappointment of the last hot dog I had(Hebrew National at the Lakewood Mall movie theater and I honestly think about it and start getting mad all over again!), I was pretty excited about this hot dog. Funny, because I didn’t end up getting a hot dog in the end. I SWEAR that it’s not my fault! I walk in, all made up in my mind on what I’m going to order, and then BAM! Menu in my face. Not just some small, «few things here, few things there» menu, but a full-on coffee house menu, AND a sandwich menu, AND a decent gourmet tea selection. WTF?! I try to be decisive and time effecient, and this is what I get! But it’s okay, because I figure that I can still be straightforward — it’s lunch time, it’s cold outside, and I’ve got to get to work — it should be easy, right? Er, WRONG. I look to my right — and there’s this HUGE chocolate and candy selection. Somehow, genius me managed to miss that they served sweets at Kelly’s(even though it’s clearly announced in the name!) Now I’m all kinds of distracted, because they’ve got everything: milk chocolate-dipped sin, candy-sprinkled goodness, and white chocolate-drizzled everything else. I look to my left and finally spot the fudge. HODAMNTHERE’SFUDGE. Further left, there’s gelato. AREYOUREADINGTHIS? There was gelato! The woman working the counter was very nice, made nice conversation, and offered me samples of the fudge and gelato flavors of my choice(it might’ve been because my eyes were glazing over a little bit, but I have a feeling that this sort of awesome service comes standard from her.) The free samples kept me from splurging and buying more than I had initially came in for(lunch), and gives me a reason to come back! :) I ended up asking what their best sandwich was, and she suggested the Californian Chicken($ 5.99), which consists of chicken breast, cheese, red onion, tomato, lettuce, and garlic mayo. I’m not a fan of the French roll that it was served on, but she did tell me that there are other bread options available. The sandwich was good and flavorful, and that struck me on the first bite — I didn’t have to add salt, which is a big deal coming from me. I HATE bland food, and this sandwich wasn’t disappointing. It was big, too, but a little bit hard to keep together(I nearly stabbed myself with the toothpick keeping it together several times — I’m a smart one.) The chicken was sliced straight-from-the-bird, rather than that big, awkward rubbery chunk of meat that you risk getting when you order from other sandwich places. I can’t wait to come back and try some of their other offerings(such as the coffee, ’cause it’s supposedly really good). I did try the lemon meringue fudge(weird, but good), and the banana gelato(strangely tangy, but still yummy). If you’re in the area, you should definitely swing by this place and pick up a bite to eat. It had me so excited that I’m actually Unilocaling at work. It’s best not to ask how. I mean, I’m on a break, but still. Maybe I should go now.

It is an ok coffee place. The coffee here is definitely decent, and when I say a coffee is decent that means it is WAY better than Starsucks coffee. Have not had the pastries but they look good, and the sandwiches are pretty darn tastey. They WIFI is free. yes free! but there is not that much space to sit and chill inside and study or chit chat. To sum it up, it is a slightly forgettable place to get coffee and to small to hang out at. P. S. They also sell movie tickets for the Regal next to it.

I’m a big fan of coffeeshops I’ve never been to or heard of before so I decided to try this one. I chose to get up early and drive my husband to his meeting in Irvine so I could spend a bit of the Valentines morning with him. We were hoping to get coffee and a pastry at least, but there was unanticipated traffic and I lost the directions to the office. Opps. After dropping him off, I was still craving that coffee and pastry so I drove around the hotel we were staying at on Harbor Blvd. passing all the happy visitors heading to Disneyland, smiling at them, jealous to be spending my day alone. I finally found Kelly’s Coffee and Fudge shop in a little corner of an outdoor mall flashing its colorful, enticing, flowing banners with inviting outdoor coffee tables and chairs. I thought…“hmm, looks good, I’ll have my coffee and pastry right out there on that table and start my morning right.” So, as I walked in the door the man that was sitting outside on one of the coffee tables, with his bluetooth in his ear, was actually the barista, no… actuallly more of just an employee, as I would soon find out, and definitely not the owner, I hope. I closely examined the huge chalk menu on the wall making sure I weighed all my options and chose exactly what my tastebuds were telling me. After a couple of minutes I was excited and ready to order my long-awaited breakfast, afterall, it was an hour and a half later since I dropped of my husband, damn LA traffic. I looked at the man, who was still holding a conversation on his bluetooth, straight in the eye implying that I was ready to order. He signaled to me that he was on the phone and moved his lips so as to say he’d be right with me. So I waited… and waited… and waited…10 minutes… walked around the shop… walked outside, then back in again…5 more minutes… read my horoscope on those new flat screen news channels… and I even eavesdropped after wondering what the heck is taking this guy so long to help me, who is he talking to thats so important he can’t tell them to hold on while he helps a customer at his pseudo-job as a coffee barista?! The patient person I am(its a virtue!), and because I didn’t want to bother going anywhere else, I waited. After 20 minutes, and I’m not exaggerating, he gets off the phone and tries to explain to me that he’s part of some organization and that was his head chief guy. I didn’t give a crap… I JUSTWANTEDMYFREAKINCOFFEE! Then, I ordered a double cappuccino, that was more like a latte, there was no foam, he burned the milk, I burned my tongue, it was horrible! The ham and cheese croissant was an oily microwaved piece of crap that I should have thrown back at him for daring to serve it to me on a plate nonetheless, as if I wanted to stay and eat it there after such a horrible experience! Ha. And thats not all. But this part has nothing to do with the coffeeshop, but more of my crappy morning and how Karma is a bitch. I wrapped up my croissant in napkins and grabbed by crap-accino-latte, jumped in my car, and headed back to the hotel just wanting to curl up in a fetal position on the bed. I forgot to mention that earlier that morning I planned on studying at a coffeeshop so I had my bookbag with me in the backseat. When I parked back at the hotel, I needed to grab my bag but I only had so many hands. So I placed the coffee atop the car and reached in the back seat to get my bags… yup, it was so freakin windy that day that by the time I could grab the cup the wind had already taken it! It was sad… afterall all that… it was just sad.

Blended mango tea, pretty good. Coffee — decent Chocolates — pretty good but nothing that drew me in. Pretty cheap and I haven’t ever seen it crowded. Also saw on their menus that they sell sandwiches.

I’m 3 stamps away from a free coffee drink. Buy 9 of the same drinks, and get one free. Take that, Starbucks! I usually get the coffee of the day. The regular size helps me survive the afternoon. I usually don’t like blended coffee drinks(unless there’s some kind of alcohol in it). However, I love Kelly’s mocha freeze. It probably has 500+ calories in it, but I don’t care. It’s my occassional indulgence. I messed up the other day and tried their bubble tea. Ew. No. Never get boba from a coffee place. Lesson learned.
