Love love love this place. The owner is super super friendly and always has everything fresh and delicious. Spicy croissant is my favorite. And donut holes sometimes. It is Cash Only! Close usually around one.

I’ve been here a few times now. Fresh warm donuts, hot coffee and their croissant breakfast is a must try. It seems like a family ran business and this business is ran right. Warm friendly service is what you’ll get when you walk in. I’m always happy to stop by before going to work. A great way to start my day. Thank you The Donut Maker!

One of my favorite donut places ever. I’m not too sure when they open or close though, I always see them open super early and never see when they close because the close pretty early too.

Oh my… I’m a sucker for their ham and cheese croissants! It’s only 2 bucks, and it’s worth every single penny. If I could eat them every morning for breakfast if I could… But you know, buying bigger pants every week ain’t cheap :(

Pretty basic donut shop. It’s clean, bright and the service is always consistently friendly, but the donuts aren’t that special. The location is great, though, because it’s right off the freeway and open really early — as all donut shops should be. I’ve had a few of the selections, but nothing’s stood out for me. There are great donut shops just a few blocks away if you really want something great. Head to the Donut Makers on Beach and Trask for great jalapeño croissants and Donut Star for better glazed donuts.

Am I the only sucker working on this Thanksgiving Holiday? Probably. I leave for work stategically late. I say strategically, because I know there aren’t going to be any supervisors to know that I was late(that’s how I roll). Also, it’s a major holiday so nobody but me will be driving to work. Traffic assessment: Minimal. So I say screw it. I’m going to be even more strategically late. I’m stopping to get an apple fritter and a coffee for my Thanksgiving breakfast. I’m all about strategy. I should go work for the gubba’ment or somethin’. This is the only donut shop I know on the way to work, so on the fly I take a chance that by some miracle someone else is working today and it’ll be open. Bingo. The asian lady working the counter is super nice. Double Bingo! And she speaks perfect english! Triple Bingo. Maybe todays workday won’t be so bad after all. «Aw don’t tell me you’re on your way to work?» A shameful«yes» slips out of my mouth. «Oh no. It’s ok, if it’s any consolation, I just saw another couple going to work right now.» $ 2 for an apple fritter and medium coffee. I felt bad. Not only is this nice lady working and not complaining like I am about working, but she’s only charging me $ 2 for an apple fritter and a coffee. Now tell me, where can you buy stuff for $ 2 nowadays?! The freakin’ bums begging you for spare change come up to you asking for $ 5 minimum(not really, but you get my point). Louis N’s review is on point about her friendliness. The apple fritter is on par with anyother apple fritter I’ve ever had. Allow me to sip on my coffee right now. *Sips* Yep, just as I remember, good old Foldger-esque coffee. The inside. Well, it’s a donut shop. It’s what you’d expect. Still, I have no reservations about giving this donut spot 4 stars. So now I’m at work. It’s ok, I’m getting out of here early and getting paid a premium. ~I make big money I drive big cars Everybody knows me It’s like I’m a movie star~ Now. It’s time for you to envy my breakfast: Happy Thanksgiving guys.

I’m on the freeway by 7:30am this morning heading down to couple of Phở places in Westminster/Garden Grove, smiles creep up on my face anticipating good Phở adventure. First stop, Phở 79, workers are inside milling about and looks open, good. I get out of the car and I feel that something is off. I feel my pants are too light and too comfortable, I check my pockets and I’ve forgotten my wallet!!! I’m dejected for several seconds and my stomach growls(Comical moment but I wasn’t smiling much, just thinking what to do next). I quickly check the loose changes in the car and they amount to little over two bucks, so… I can wash dishes or give the folks at the restaurant thrill rides in my car but I’m in the mood for neither. Got to eat something to fill my stomach a bit, I spotted a small non-descript looking donut shop near by and order hot tea and apple fritter, $ 1.90 total, good, I have enough change. They were pretty good but average. The interior looked a bit disorganized on the left side of the seating area and wasn’t inviting. However, the service was friendly, alert and upbeat, the lady at the counter was treating each customer like welcoming a morning sunshine, making small talks with each customer as if they’re VIP no matter how poor looking the fella. Cool, I want whatever vitamin she’s taking. As I’m driving home, I decide to pickup my wallet and head towards a Phở place near LAX that I heard about on Unilocal
