Denny’s

Clean, fast, friendly staff. Blueberry pancakes were great! I went back the next day.

I love getting breakfast food from here. It’s never too loud and the place is always clean. The only issue I have is that they always offer refills on my drink or add extra cheese on my eggs without me asking so I always assume it’s free? I know sometimes it’s my fault but most restaurants I go to always tell me «by the way it will be an addition charge, is that okay?» The fact that I have an empty cup of orange juice and they just refill it without me asking I would assume I wouldn’t have to pay 2.59 for another cup of oj, right? WRONG. They charge you without your knowledge and when you try and bring it up when you pay for the check they just say «we’ll yeah it’s an extra charge it isn’t free». Make sure to ask if they’ll charge you for a refill or extra jam because if they don’t have to tell you it cost more, they won’t.

I’ve had hit and misses with this place.
First time I went, great prompt service, great appetizers (mozzarella sticks, quesadilla and chicken tenders)
Second time I went, great service, terrible food (uncooked pancakes) weird tasting milk shake.
Third time I’ve gone here, meh service (slow slow slow while not busy is bad…) food was meh too.
I don’t really know if I’ll try again for a fourth, maybe another Denny’s…

Literally the best dennys location I’ve ever been to!!!
The food looks better than the pictures and makes my local dennys look like McDonald’s.
The only bad thing is that it’s 4 hours away from me :(

I had been at Denny almost every morning. I had grand slam breakfast. I order four items on the plate. I don’t have any problems with foods and very good sever. They alway refill my coffee. And, everything was fine.

A high school is nearby, so if you’re not a fan, probably should go to another Denny’s. They serve large groups pretty well if it’s not during peak times. Their food doesn’t taste like crap, it’s surprisingly good. I’ve come here many times in the past, and my visits were always okay.

There location isn’t in the best place. But there open late and there food isn’t bad. If I’m out with a group friends coming off that 22 I will stop and do breakfast, or even a sand witch.

My dad and I came to Denny’s to eat breakfast. Well, we were seated like 3 minutes after we walked in which didn’t bother me, but moving on. So I’m extremely picky with my food so I need to take my time to look at the menu. My dad orders a coffee and I order water since I’m simple. The waiter comes and I’m not ready yet to order, so I say give us a little bit more time. My dad and I talk and we were ready after 4 mins thinking about what we want. Then, we wait and wait at least like 10 mins, finally the waiter has arrive. He takes our orders and he’s off away. Oh and before this he ask my dad if he wanted a coffee refill and my dad says no. So, the waiter comes back with our order and I’m finally happy. Then he ask my dad once again «do you want another refill for your coffee?» When he asked that like 7 mins earlier.
Overall, I like Denny’s it’s a good place to eat pancakes and oatmeal

Our server went on break. We didn’t see her for at least 30 minutes. The place was kinda packed given the fact it was like 2:30am! The food was good, but I never got any refills on my soda! Also I ordered Dr. peper not Coke !

Don’t understand why Denny’s gets «slammed» with bad reviews so often. They are not considered fast food joints. This location is clean updated and food was perfect! A slight delay on seating but server acknowledged and later thanked me for being patient. Denny’s are more consistent than other chains. I order the same thing every time at the chains except different flavor pancakes.

The reason I don’t give it a 1 star is because they were decent enough to swap my cold plate of food out. Waited 40mins for cold food, I got the all American slam. Which had under cooked eggs with cheese on it, undercooked hash browns. Plus cold old coffee. My mother waited 30 mins for burnt bread… the service here is a joke! Our server never came back to check on us. Menus are on the floor, and the bus boys are looking for what table to send the food to. I only come here because it’s local. Busy days is definitely not its forte.

Well I normally Denny’s is our last pick if can’t find a place to eat but today wow what service we were sat down quickly our server Rodrigo came up and ask what we would like to dink we order and boom he comes back with drinks took our dinner order and we asked for soup and boom he come with hot soup. I don’t every think I’ve got such great service and I don’t have to wait that long for things. Even the manger on duty came by and picked up or dishes when we were done with our soups. Oh drink refills don’t even have to ask Rodrigo is on it… over all service was great thank you …

Great costumer service today. Not very busy, but can’t overlook it. I’d come back again.

Eggs come out looking ugly and burnt black on the bottom…
Hash browns are poorly made and aren’t crispy… It’s basically just shredded potato pieces slabbed onto your plate.
All in all this place is alright…

Came in late at around 10:25pm with my parents for a late Father’s Day meal. Was seated quickly and our orders were taken by Michelle. We were very hungry and ordered a side of fries first to munch on. It was our first time here and it seemed very empty so we though the service was going to be faster. Well that wasn’t the case! It was 11:10 still no fries and no food. Finally they brought our food but the fries we had asked for in the beginning didn’t make it until the end. This was very upsetting. I told the server I had asked for them first and her answer was «I know I’m sorry». Yea because sorry fixes everything. Then after that she seemed very rude every time she would come to our table. Honestly next time il go eat at the jack in the box next door. They don’t give you horrible customer service and will bring you your food real fast.
It sucks that our own people treat us the way they do. We are both Hispanic and it seems like they try to bring us down. It’s not like we are eating for free. We paid for our meal.
Will not be coming back ever to this Denny’s and I do not recommend anyone come here.

Ordered Ultimate Skillet, it looked great almost over flowing the plate but came protein free. I didn’t realize it gad a Vegetarian version.
On the 2^nd try… it looked «skinny»… where the first looked overflowing; this was the opposite. It looked like they didn’t put everything on it.
The waiter should be the person checking to make the order is correct and looks appetizing. FAILED

Not sure if it mattered that I was the only non-​hispanic in the place. It shouldn’t, I’m still a paying customer.

So they’re closed. Again. This was my favorite Denny’s for after work (I get off at 12 so I like late nite bites or 24 joints). Probably won’t come here much anymore if at all.

I came in today being new around the area plus it is my day off to get a bite to eat before i got my early morning day started. I was then greated with a smile by the manager VIRGINIA which i truly appriciated and shortly afterwards i was sat without delay. I then was serviced by a miss OLIVIA with a friendly welcome that came with a amazing profesional attitude throughout my entire visit. My food was delicious and the customer service was nothing less than perfect.

ate here today and it was theeee worst service. I usually go to the Denny’s by my location in LB Towne Center which has the absolute best service and food. My mom and I came here to have breakfast because we were in the location. First off, took about 10 mins for someone to seat us (should have been a sign and walked out) we gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited. After being seated and ordered drinks/​food we had to wait around 35 mins for a grand slam and a skillet. THIRTY FIVE MINUTES. the food was NOT even worth the wait. everything was bland and did not taste right at all, even though i always order the same plate at any Denny’s I visit to. this plate was tasteless. not even mentioning that the sourdough bread i ordered was burnt. i looked past it. funny that we received our bill 5 mins within receiving the food. The server had charged us for 3 coffees (only ordered 1, and common sense there are 2 of us) AND she charged my mom’s build your own grand slam for the toast she ordered EVEN THOUGH you can order toast as an option at no charge. I simply asked her about it and she began to argue with me. idc that it was a dollar, it was simply the principle. So server argued and refused to take items off. i was already bothered and wanted to get out of there so i thought «whatever» and got up to pay. i vow to never come here again.

This spot along Harbor Blvd has had its ups and downs. In the late 90’s during my high school days it was used as a hang out after club meetings since Santiago HS is a few blocks away. During the 00’s it went through a sad period where the décor looked drab and dilapidated, and although for my twenties I used it as a late night spot to sober up at, not many people frequented it and it looked like its end days were near. Thanks to the Harbor Street revitalization up in Anaheim by Disneyland some of those improvements tricked down here. The inside of Denny’s got a remodel and Disney tourists started showing up. Now this place consistently has people dining.

Notice no mention of the food or service. I think it’s safe to say that it’s a given Denny’s has mediocre food and service at best hence the lack of mention in the review.
