I used to eat here for 20 years, i remember this place from when i was a little kid. The owner Sal, alfonso the server and all the other servers were amazing at what they did. I loved their pronto plates, and their two item plates. It truely breaks my heart to see them go. But they gave me 20 years of amazing authentic mexican food like grandma used to make. To the casa de soto family, we will miss you all and the formula monte carlo was awesome. Vaya con dios, amigos. Feliz.

Been coming here for over 20 years and sad to say they are closing their doors this week. My family came here regularly and always had excellent service and we loved the food. The salsa was always just ok but the margaritas made up for it lol. Hoping they will reopen somewhere else but from what I’ve heard they have decided not to.

FYI, this place is going out of business. Last chance to get close to a full menu is Friday, 8÷14÷15. My grandpa was a regular here and knew the original owner. My parents went on dates here before I was born, and everyone else in my family grew up going here. The food is pretty standard. The service was very fast. I recommend getting burritos instead of tacos considering burritos have about 5 times as much food in them. The current owner is a really nice guy.

Poor service today but the sign outside and inside say they ARECLOSING! Looks to be becoming an Asian Restaurant and by the feel there today the works have already checked out. Flat soda, very little A/C on a humid day, they are counting the days.

I’ve been going here for 15 years and and this place is outstanding. This is the best Mexican food I’ve ever had besides my grandma’s. My favorite thing to get is the shredded beef taco, the taco is so juicy and mouthwatering, also the chips and mild sauce are to die for! The service is amazing, the workers have always been so kind, helpful, and polite. I love the atmosphere here it’s very cozy. I will keep coming here for a very long time! I also love how they treat me like family, I love going here.

Casa de Soto is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, and a must-go destination whenever I am in the area. My favorites are the crispy, shredded beef tacos — any day, and on the weekends, their carnitas — yummy! MUEYAUTHENTICO! Food is always great and the service is amazing!

I don’t know who the new lady is, but she refused to allow me to finish my starbucks coffee and she wouldn’t allow us to sit in the main dining room, because there is a bar inside. She said no children are allowed in there. It is a full-service restaurant! I have been coming here since I WAS6, and my mother too. They have apparently only recently enacted this rule and it stinks. the food has always been just okay, but it was the ambiance we came for. Now, they have removed that. Disappointing… no reason for me to come back again.

After reading some of the reviews of Casa, let’s just say that I’m slightly less optimistic about the future of humanity on this planet. On to my appraisal, then… I grew up down the street, and have literally been eating at Casa my entire life. Everything is good, big portions, great chips and salsa(tip: get a mild and a hot, then mix them together, or alternate back and forth). I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu at some point, but my favorite is Andy’s Deluxe Enchilada. A very big, stuffed enchilada oozing cheese and tender, shredded beef. Heavy on the sauce, with generous dollops of guacamole and sour cream on top. Love their beans and rice. Fantastic! If you’re drinking, they have awesome margaritas and everything else. House wine is like $ 4 and it’s a huge glass. Go for it. Several employees have been there as long as I can remember, and they do not appear to age LOL. Jesse is usually our waiter and he is awesome. Décor is old school, with some really cool portraits and other artwork on the walls. Restaurant is always immaculate — everything very clean, comfy booths in good shape, etc. I feel a little bit like I’m stepping back in time when I come here, and it’s a very nice feeling. Have always loved Casa. I sincerely hope it doesn’t fall victim to suburban blight and decay. That would make me truly sad.

Best chile relleno in Orange County. Carnitas is excellent as well. Just found this place about a year ago and glad we did!

Great food, good service, good drink prices!!! Been there 100 times over the years, and will continue to give them my business. I also had them cater our company Christmas party a couple years ago. It was great!

I am really hyped that Casa de Soto is across the street from my mechanic. Every time I drop my car off for work I grab a pronto plate, which is one item with rice and beans. It is the perfect quick snack. The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious and comes out quick. Every meal starts out with fresh made chips and homemade salsa. My go to is the shredded beef taco, it never disappoints. Aside from the delicious food, my favorite part of the meal is when I pay and grab a lollipop at the window. Makes me feel like a kid again.

some real old school recipes in here boy! HUGEPORTIONS!!! sort of americanized while being an old school mexican recipe. if that makes sense… Hubby liked it, so we will definitely be back… It was a bummer though because everyone raves about the carnitas… but we found that Carnitas is only available on the weekend… we went on a week day :(:( I had the arroz con pollo. It was good. Hubby had Chile Colorado and really enjoyed it… it had that deep flavorful sauce… very old school. The service was on point… at one point I told the guy he was like the butler from Mr Deeds(The Movie) he walked away but within seconds he was standing next to you or served a refill before you could even see… It was great. Only thing id like to see is a better childrens menu and alcohol selection… They have one of those old school padded leather bars that looks fully stocked… but the menu does not indicate this… other than that. Very good… Not the BEST ive had being an Angelino… But… stilll good.

Disclaimer@@!!! I only have tried one thing on the menu! That being said, I love that one thing! So foodie heaven this is not, but if you like an old school family Mexican restaurant with the big comfy leather booths and cool vintage interior, this is your spot. I always get the Chile Colorado Burrito with rice and beans(instead of rice I order extra beans), and a horchata to drink. From the time I walk in starving to the time I walk out having completely cleaned my plate is maybe 20 mins. This is a totally rad place to just come and get a quick lunch before you go about your hectic day.

AMAZING! I’m there about once a week at least! Tacos, enchiladas, wet burrito, and chile Colorado all the way. Mild salsa does taste kind of like ketchup but Margaritas are amazing! PS fajitas are bomb too!
