Fabulous! Best Philly cheesesteak I’ve had in California! Little place in the corner of a strip mall. Nice people, great food and a deal for vets, fire and police! Loved this place!

Another sad Philly cheese steak. I don’t know how these places stay in business. The meat did cover the bread, but it wasn’t that much, kind of a thin layer. Yes, there was cheese, but not that much. Overall I would say the sandwich was just OK at best. There was nothing that really stood out about it. Everything was just kind of blah. I had a six inch, which cost about 5.00. I guess for that price, you could add extra meat and cheese, but why would you when there’s so many better places to eat a Philly cheese steak.
Another thing that bothered me was that they charge .65 for credit.

I’m a waitress, so I’m huge on service. If the service is good, it makes up for any kind of food. Today was my second time dropping by for pickup, and the guy actually remembered my name when I walked in. Everyone was super friendly! On top of that, the food tastes awesome and is affordable. I’ve only gotten wings and fries, but I’ve seen other things come out too and it looked phenomenal.

Just had the boss and the Italian with sweet potato fries all a must. Love that they honor our Military, Police and Firefighters. Great place for football and they always greet you with an appreciation for just stoping by! Bite of Jersey is the Hidden gem of this area!

Great Sandwiches! Went there for the first time and one of the employees recommended the Italian and it was delicious. Also they have really nice service the cost is not bad either. If you are nearby you should stop and get a sandwich!

The décor is slightly out-​dated which takes away from the dining experience.
Overall the food was ok. It was good, on par, not spectacular and didn’t blow me away. We ordered the jersey fries, Philly cheesesteak (w wiz cheese), and the pastrami sandwich.
The jersey fries were good I enjoyed the crispy fries and the ranch and cheese sauce combo was heavy but delicious. The bacon added crunch and more texture.
The Philly cheesesteak was very average, the beef and onions were boring. I’ve had better quality beef and the bread on the cheesesteak was a little soggy.
The pastrami was delicious, it was not overpowered with too much meat and overall I enjoyed it. Great contrast in flavors.
My experience was «meh» I don’t love it and I don’t hate it. Just an average place in my eyes. Most likely wouldn’t come back, who knows.

On our way to Oceanside for the weekend. The Waze app took us down the 405 and in Garden Grove, and we were both becoming hangry. Well… Maybe it was just me. I’m not myself when I’m hangry. I’m a different person. I needed something to eat and fast. She searched and Unilocal led us to A Bite of Jersey. Cheesesteaks sound good anytime but this feeling was only heightened by the state I was in.
The place is located in a little strip mall. You walk in and literally into the counter to order. The menu was extensive but cheesesteak was a no brainer. We also got the pastrami and Jersey fries. Bench booths straight ahead and separate dining area to the left. We were there near Halloween and the dining area had some live music and local patrons rocking out in full costume so we opted for the booth. After light beers had been ordered from taps right in front of us, we discovered craft IPA hidden further down the counter that we couldn’t see. Needless to say, we sucked down the lights and the next round consisted of Bootlegger’s rye IPA.
We started with Jersey fries which consisted of shoestring fries, cheese whiz, bacon, and green onion. I’m sorry. The whiz was delicious. Don’t act like your’e too good. 6 in. cheesesteak with, of course, whiz and onion. She got a 6 in. pastrami with cheese and mustard. The sandwiches themselves are not flashy or piled in mountains of meat. But they are tasty and best of all, under 5 bucks! I’ll pay that all day, any day.
Definitely will be on my mind if nearby and won’t hestate to stop in again.

Went for lunch last week. 3 of us and every sandwich was better the last. We had Pulled Pork, Boss and Reg Philly Cheese. Spoke to the owner Fabian and let him know he’s catering our super bowl party. I’ve been to the Philly, and these folks brought East Westward.

Kickin chicken, buffalo chicken or even just the classic Philly cheesesteak are all fabulous here. Jersey fries are also a must! Love Fabian and all the kids that work here. Great lunch spot.

Pretty disappointed for the third time. Called ahead 4 days in advance to tell them I had a large party coming in. They called the day of the event to confirm. Line out the door, 3 people working, they didn’t reserve the large room for me, no sports games on (and plenty to choose from). Service was slow, kids waited forever for soda refills… Owner said he had no idea we were coming. Really??? Probably not coming back. 3 strikes… You’re out!

Oh muh werd. Can we say cheap and delicious?
I ordered the Philly (with american cheese and onions) and I am hooked. The juice, the hot beef, and the gooey cheese all in that chewy roll is exactly what I want when I want a hot and sticky sandwich.
For a shorty (6 inches, perfect portion size) it was under five bucks. I am hell bent on making this place my next dukedome, even if it enlarges my heart, raises my blood pressure and sends my cholesterol through the roof!

Since the other Philly place in the neighborhood has shuttered its doors, I have been back to a Bite of Jersey several times recently. I will admit that several of my previous complaints have been corrected.
I had a cheesesteak with mushrooms, and it was great. His fries are really crisp, and were delivered hot, and fresh. My husband liked his pastrami as well. We purchased an Italian hoagie to bring back for an employee, and he was quite happy with his as well.
I’m looking forward to trying the meatball sandwich soon. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would.

We just finished a great meal. Five of us, we went for a Salami san, fish & chips and 2 Philly san’s. Not one bad choice and we are all looking forward to our next trip out. I spoke with the owner for 10 minutes… a real nice guy! Cant wait till we come back to try other items!
