Subway

Stopped for a quick healthy sandwich while at the mall today and was happy with my experience. The place was clean and service was quick. The line moved fast and my sub was just how I like.

This is a review of the Subway located inside Roosevelt Field Mall in the food court. It’s a decent Subway. I go here relatively often. I think the food is good, and the price is low (normal subway prices). The normal prices are somewhat surprising since many other chains in the food court (such as the Taco Bell there) charge higher prices due to the high Roosevelt Field Mall rent, but Subway doesn’t do that. I like this location, and it’s what you expect from the restaurant chain.
My only complaint is that sometimes, when it’s near the closing time for the mall (9:30 PM generally), then some of the vegetables aren’t fresh. At least once during such an occasion, I became slightly ill from some bad looking cucumber and tomatoes. However, I believe that only happened once, and again it only happens (non-​fresh looking vegetables) near closing time for the mall. Now I just watch more closely when they make my sandwich, and if I think the cucumber or tomato looks bad then I tell them not to use it. I haven’t gotten ill since I started doing that.
I also like this particular location because it’s inside the mall. I like eating in the food court. It feels more social or communal because you are eating around other people (even though you don’t know them or speak to them). Also, when you’re done eating, you can walk around the mall. Again, generally I like this particular Subway, and I do eat here relatively often.
