Mediocre and overpriced for what your getting. My Fried Chicken Sandwich was only slightly better then a Wendy crispy chicken, except better bread. My tater tots were cold and I mean room temperature. Also, for a «signature» item they taste a lot like most of the frozen ones you’d find at the grocery store. Over $ 15.00 for sandwich, tots and lemonade? Seems high to me. Just outside of the mall, Mac and Melts does this type of food better. It’s worth trying once I’d say.

The fried chicken sandwich is amazing and the maple bacon is tasty with a side of loaded tots.

I like the Melt Shop and when I want to indulge I head on over here. The service is O.K. but frankly I don’t care i’m just here for the burger melts. Juicy burger patties, lots of cheese sauce, carmalized onions and the addition of the pepper jack really rounds out everything. There is hardly ever a line here and it takes about five minutes for it to get made. Solid 4 stars.

Soooooo good. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich. This was my first time going and I’ll definitely be back for more. I’m interested in trying the other sandwiches. Very pleasant staff. Great service!

Yesterday my friends and I ordered Grilled Cheese with xtra cheese and carmalized onion and Tomato it was great… Today we ordered the same thing and it was horrible! We threw it away because there was so much spicy dressing all over it. We asked for it to go about 2 times.. They got that wrong and gave us a buzzer when it would be ready. We were the only ones there. I can understand if your busy and making mistakes. But there mistakes are costing me…

DONOTEATHERE. FOODPOISONING. The only reason why I’m giving this place 2 stars instead of one is because the first time I ate here the food was really good. I had a turkey sandwich with cheesy shop tots and I have to admit I was raving about it for weeks. With that being said… I ate here yesterday and ordered the burger melt sandwich with regular shop tots. Within 2 hours I got food poisoning. I know it was from this place because that was the only thing I had to eat all day and I was throwing up the contents of the actual burger. Disgusting.

The food wasn’t that great. I was sorely disappointed. I can make a better grilled cheese. The Nutella shake, however, rocked! I will never get food here again but I will surely come back for a shake.

This place is pretty good, it’s nice to get a quick bite from. I’ll be honest I don’t try many things here because it’s expensive and I just buy what I figure I will like. The menu is very small which makes the choosing process even easier. In addition the menu is also pretty simple. The biggest thing I’ve heard that they’re known for is the tater tots, I know they call it something else but I forgot. Those are okay. I usually get the fried chicken, it’s really good. Maybe next time I’d do a stronger bread because the one that is used gets soggy and torn easily. I also love their side salads and tomato soup. I don’t know what they put in that side salad dressing but I’ll keep going back, OKAYYY. The service is pretty friendly, even with a busy line they never give an attitude. The wait is never too long, maybe once or twice it was. You get too see them prep the food and everything so that’s cool. I would go again.

For my first time ordering at the Meltshop, I had the Burger Melt minus the pickles. Looking back, maybe I shouldn’t have asked them to exclude the pickles to balance out the strong flavors in the sandwich. With that said, yes, the sandwich(or burger) is full of flavor, courtesy of the cheese sauce AND the burger sauce. I can taste the pepper jack but it doesn’t really have that spicy kick, so it shouldn’t bother someone who isn’t used to spicy food. I thought that one order wouldn’t be enough to fill me at lunchtime, but it did without the bloated feeling after eating. Will I order it again? Maybe, and with the pickles.

BLT. more like BAT(Bacon Arugula Tomato) but who’s complaining it was great! Never been to meltshop however there it is in the newly renovated Roosevelt Field Mall food court(maybe im just late with this and havent been here in a while). The BLT was surprisingly super tastey even though ridicuously small in portion but i was looking for a snack rather than a full meal at the time. They use a tomato paste as well as some sun dried tomatoes? and each bite gives you a good bacon to arugula ratio. Not a bad treat would come back to try the other stuff on the menu.

Finally found an excuse to dine in at Melt Shop! As a grilled cheese lover, I’ve been eyeing this place forever. I really couldn’t decide which sandwich should be my first contender. I really want to sample them all! I ended up choosing the Truffle Melt and shop tots. There was a guy handing out cheesy tater tots samples. Good job because that wasn’t even on my mind until I tried one. My choices were good but after the first couple of bites I immediately wished I got the fried chicken, burger melt or classic. I want more cheese! There’s always a next time. Overall, friendly staff and clean place. The items are pricey, $ 8 for a sandwich or salad. However, if you get their app you can save $ 5.

I can’t stay this place is amazing, but it’s quite good AND quite overpriced. Take advantage of the Melt Shop app and get $ 5 off your order. The maple bacon grilled cheese is pretty awesome. The nutella shake was very tasty, and not TOOOOO sweet. The nacho tots(or whatever they’re called) were pretty good, although just a tad too salty for my taste. But as I said, this place is overpriced for what it is.

Not even close to the Melt Shops in the city. Big fan of the Melt Shop. So when they opened one on LI, I WAS excited. It’s a shame it wasn’t as good as the NYC location I used to eat at. I could go into detail, but since a picture is worth a thousand words, I’ll let this photo of an $ 12.00 sandwich speak for itself…

I’ve seen Melt Shops all around NYC and was so excited to see a location opened up in the new Dining District in Roosevelt Field Mall! I mean, who doesn’t love a good grilled cheese? And tater tots? It’s comfort food and carb city at its finest. From perusing the menu, I opted for their BLT. I immediately saw the words whole grain and TRUFFLEMAYO and was sold. The sandwich was a hearty size and the fact that it was under $ 5 is a good deal. I enjoyed the whole grain bread which was thin and toasted well. The roasted tomatoes and applewood smoked bacon melded perfectly together. And instead of your classic iceberg lettuce, they switched it up and used arugula. My only suggestion is that I wish there was more«filling» between the bread. There was only a tiny bit of greens which I think the sandwich needed. Overall, the ratio of veggies needs to be increased. It was definitely lacking in that dept. Other than that, the flavors worked well. I also ordered a side of Shop Tots which is essentially Tater Tots topped with parmesan cheese. It was a good side for my meal. Can’t wait to come back and try that Nutella Shake. It’s calling me!

Place definitely seems like the featured grub spot at the newly completed food court renovations. Nice electronic menus and a friendly staff compete with some interesting options. Looking at the menu, you can easily spend $ 16/person if you go with the shake and loaded tots. Elected to go with the Buffalo chicken sandwich, it was very good. The pressed bread with the spicy chicken and mix of sauces were very enjoyable. This spot can become a favorite not only for me but others looking for good ol’ mall food court food. Next I want that hand spun hazlenut shake!

This place is located inside the Roosevelt Field’s new food court. We got the classic grilled cheese. It was good but nothing special about it. It’s just like any other typical grilled cheese sandwich. The price for a classic grilled cheese is almost $ 5, which is pretty pricey for something that we could make ourselves at home. Maybe we need to try their other stuff on the menu…

A New York City favorite, now in Garden City. Score! It’s a chain but its a chain that connected to my heart. How could you not dig a hot, creamy grilled cheese sandwich? They’re making some changes to the food court in Roosevelt field. They added a lot of great NYC places(What about Dough? Or ANYNYC coffee house??) I’ll be happy to review Melt Shop today. This place now puts a stake thru the heart of the other cheese place in the area. This is the real deal and they have an app to all their locations!(If your going to be eating here, get the app) Today I ordered the«Truffle Melt» with Harvarti Cheese, Arugula and Truffle Oil all on sour dough grilled bread. Mmmm. Garden City, Keeps on getting the best of the best. If you’re a fan of this place, I highly recommend coming to Melt Shop and getting a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch with a side of Sriracha sauce. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did :)
