My family has been ordering from Crofton Vocelli for years, but sadly, I think that title has been punted out the window. We received a coupon stating you can order a large thin crust pizza with unlimited toppings for $ 8.99 and wanted to use it up. The phone call was made and the food was ordered(along with the pizza, 2 side salads were ordered as well), totaling around $ 35(which is crazy expensive for those items). But that wasn’t the issue, the problem arose when my dad told the woman on the line that we had a coupon. She told him that it wasn’t redeemable until after 9pm. How does that even make sense? No where on this coupon did it say when it expired or when you could use it. She would not accept the coupon, so my dad just gave in and sucked it up. My mom decided to get involved and called back, asking for the manager. The manager decided to fight with her about it, claiming you couldn’t use the coupon before 9pm and that they shouldn’t have been sent out to begin with because of errors. He also claimed it «expired», even though there was no expiration date present. The manager decided to be «nice» and accept the coupon for us just this once, but oh, wait… The price was only decreased $ 10. It didn’t make any sense whatsoever. My mom then asked for an itemized receipt to be delivered with our order. Upon arrival, we saw we paid $ 6.99 for each side salad and $ 8.99 for what my dad referred to as a sheet of cardboard(the pizza for those who don’t get the reference). After talking about it again tonight, my mom decided to call and ask how much a side salad is, $ 4.99. It’s supposed to be $ 4.99. We paid 2 more dollars per salad, raising the price even more. All in all, it wasn’t the prices, it was the service and how things were handled that really put us off from this place now. For future reference, be specific on your coupons so you don’t have to deal with this again.

My favorite place to go for pizza in Crofton. I recommend finding a coupon or doing carry out to save some $$$. The cheese pizza is delish and so is the Hawaiian specialty pizza.

I called to order a pizza on a Tuesday night at 8:30 and was asked to be placed on hold. That wasn’t the issue. The issue was that I had to call back after being on hold for 9:48. When I called back the same girl asked me if I could hold again and I said no because I was on hold for 9:48. She said«Oh, well, um, ok I guess I will take your order now then…» I tried using a coupon but they are only good after 9:00pm. I just ordered a small pizza. The wait was over an hour. This is my first time using them since I am new to the area so I decided to hang in there with them. Got the pizza, it was cold and dry looking not to mention I paid almost $ 18 for a small pizza that was the size of a personal pan pizza. Never ordering from there again. Should have read the reviews first I see.

Gave them multiple chances… finally threw out all their menus and coupons. Just really sub par pizza, salads, and wings. Would rather have dominos.

Ordered two smalls, the 4 cheese and basil pesto. Perfect size for two adults and a toddler! Very nice crust, not dense and good flavor. I liked the pesto and generous veggies on top. Husband liked the cheese but thought that the cheddar wasn’t ‘authentic’. I thought it tasted good. Overall not very greasy or heavy. Happy to see a coupon for bogo tuesdays, we will definitely be back.

Sub-par. 36 bucks included tip for a thin crust Pepperoni pizza, «breadsticks» if you want to call a small pizza with cheese on it sticks and a small side salad. Could have had a better meal from a national chain for half the price. The driver was nice though! Never again.

Do not order food from here. Last night I went there to order subs. After I placed my order with the cashier a random worker comes in from the back of the kitchen. He hears what I’m ordering and starts making the subs, but without wearing plastic gloves. I asked the cashier if he was going to put gloves on his hands while making the subs and he said«oh yeah, of course». The cashier then goes in the kitchen and helps to make the subs, but neither one are wearing gloves. After using their bare hands to strategically place the ingredients in the subs, I told the manager I didn’t want them and to void the sale. I found it absolutely disgusting that these two teenagers had no regard for cleanliness and sanitation by not using plastic gloves. Who knows where their hands were just prior.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. Amazing! EVERYSINGLEEMPLOYEE I have ever spoken to has been over the top friendly, funny, and polite. The food is delicious(I should know– I eat there about once a week!). I recommend the Colosso size pizza because the huge slices remind me of the floppy huge NY pizza that I can’t find anywhere in this area. The pizza rolls are to die for. The pepperoni stromboli is amazing as well. This is the best pizza place in the area and best delivery I’ve ever had. LOVETHEM!!!

I thought the pizza and wings were great. I’d compare it’s brand to that of dominos, papa johns and Pizza Hut, but out of all of those I think this pizza was the best. They were are also very friendly and they have plenty coupons.

Hot BBQ wings were not good. They were smothered in sauce that was medium at best. The wings were not meaty and bland. They used to be the best around. Hopefully they still have great pizzas. Will likely not go back competition is too strong around here.

Ordered a pizza and a grilled chicken Caesar salad. I have ordered Caesar salads from so many places and have never received something so pathetic. If you want to put short cut cold rubbery pieces of chicken on your salad be my guest, but put that on your menu. I would love to know if this is the chicken they put in their chicken alfredo or use for their chicken parm. Extremely disappointed.

This place has changed so much since opening that it is no longer our go to pizza place. It’s amazing how a business can advertise a special and not honor their own coupon. For example, they have a coupon for a large 2 topping for $ 6.99. You can order as many pizzas as you want with this coupon(I have order up to 30 at a time with it), yet the coupon for a large unlimited topping for $ 8.99 will only get you one pizza. No where on the coupon does it say 1 pizza only. Now they are saying that you cannot get double toppings with the $ 8.99 special. Again, no where on the coupon does it say any of this. What is the purpose of advertising a special if you aren’t going to honor them? I used to really like this place, but over the past 8 months or so things have been going all downhill. I also cannot leave out the last time I called, I was placed on hold by a gentlemen who turned around and clocked out and didn’t tell anyone I was on hold. I drove to the store and my call was still on hold and no one in the store even knew it! It’s time to start going back to Wegman’s and getting my own dough and making pizza myself.

Nothing special –blah tasting and the pepperoni is so small it is dry around the edges. I have not found a good pizza place in Crofton/Annapolis area. I am a fan of NY/NJ or Chicago pizza. Delivery man was nice. Service was fairly quick and ordering on line was easy.

I really can’t understand what there is to complain about. i love the pizza here and it is my daughter’s favorite as well. The little pepperonis are awesome! The get nice and crispy and that is why they are small. I order online and the drivers are always prompt and super courteous. I can’t say anything bad about this Pizza or the staff. I have to admit that I am a Unilocal troll because I use Unilocal all the time but rarely if ever write a review. I just could not stand to see my favorite pizza place(in this area) trashed. BTW — Pizza is by far my favorite food and I always over order so I have this for breakfast and lunch the next day too.

Pizza is good – we had some issues with delivery, but the manager contacted us personally to resolve the issues and give us a reason to give them a try again. Thank you, Vocelli for your outstanding follow-up service!

I recently purchased a catering platter through Vocelli’s and it was a wonderful experience! I was pressed for time and had to bring something to an event for Church, immediately following church and Saturday night was still without a platter. I ordered the platter online Saturday night and requested pick up the next day and it was ready for me to swing by and pick up right after church. The staff was friendly and even offered to carry it out to the car. Way to go Vocelli Pizza!

Ok, so I just moved to Crofton. Being here for about a month i see MANY people ordering Vocelli for delivery. So they must be good right. Well, i received an ad in the mail for $ 2.99 Large pizza. Cant beat that! So i tried it. Once i opened the pizza, INSTANTDISAPPOINTMENT! It looked terrible, half burnt, smallest pepperonis ever. Cant judge a book by its cover right? Ok, so i tried it and I was in immediate shock. I never tasted such a bland boring pizza in my life. C’mon its PIZZA, how can that be boring? Well Vocelli managed to find a way, and they did a damn good job. That large pizza is only worth $ 3, BUT lucky for me, the next day was trash day :)

Not bad at all, really. Considering that everything… including pizza… is relative Vocelli’s is not bad. It is certainly not as good as a pie one could get in NY or NJ, but the refreshing thing about the Vocelli in Gambrills/Crofton is that it is not trying to be something it is not(which is more than can be said for some other so-called«pizza parlors» in and around AACo.) On the other hand, Vocelli’s quality, taste and service far exceed that of other franchise pizza and Italian cuisine establishments. The prices are OK and Vocelli does seem to offer good discounts/coupons on an ongoing basis. I do think that the $ 1 dollar delivery charge is sort of silly though. I don’t really see the merit in charging that single dollar but perhaps there is some sort of psychological marketing angle I am considering… not really a complaint — more of an observation.
