(Look elsewhere! Alternate Recommendation provided in review!) I would like to support that Albert W.‘s experience with this dentist. The facility was tasteful, clean and the employees were very nice. Dr Baczara however wasn’t overly nice. In my opinion perhaps her attempt to seem like she’s not«hustling» you she truly comes off indifferent to you. I had the slightest feeling like I was inconveniencing her with my appointment.(Again maybe that wasn’t the case but that would give you a general idea of the tone) When I met with her I told her that last week I just had a cleaning and xrays at another dental facility the week prior, however I was looking for a dental experience that catered to discussing/offering a variety of options which this last facility did not. From there she took new xrays and the photos that other reviewers mentioned. After viewing the xrays and photos she went own the line of suggesting realignment of my jaw entirely. Truly never really addressing the filling with a cracked tooth underneath(because of the metal I cant tell right now… but lets talk about your jaw) In her opinion the jaw alignment procedure needed to be addressed before the fixing of my painful tooth(which to an extent I could see the logic) Of course every procedure she mentioned was not covered by insurance. I asked to take a break and use the ladies room which I think she misunderstood for the appointment being done. I went back into the patient room expecting her to come back to discuss alternate options.(I was really looking to get the pain addressed primarily) I had to ask the front desk attendant where she was. She came out with her daughter and with a clear attitude asked me if I had any questions. At that point I had a strong feeling I wouldnt be moving forward with this practice. When I asked for my bill I was puzzled by the amount. The dentist explained to me that insurance would only pay for 1 set of xrays a year and that the photos were not covered. I was FLOORED that she did not mention this when I told her I just had xrays done less than a week ago. Upon further research I have moved to Dr Dodek In Columbia MD for both my husband and myself. The Dodek practice came HIGHLY recommended byt more than 5 or my co workers. Our experience with them so far has been fantastic. This morning I called Dr Baczara’s office to get my records(now mind you I called the 1st facility already and they just needed me to sign a release) Dr Baczara’s office wanted to charge me a $ 35 release fee. The associate told me it was a copying fee. I asked for clarification — Could they not just be emailed? She said«oh yes I Will be emailing them to you.» So wait… you are going to charge me $ 35 to email me MY records that I paid for out of pocket??? I was put on old for a while then she returned saying that she got approval to email them to me no charge. I will say that while I have already received the files via email, no one should have to pay for a release of their own files! Even if insurance had covered it! That office still got paid.(Now I would understand if it was multiple requests for printed copies) Perhaps some of her recommendations had some validity but her attitude, omitting informing a new patient of potential charges(which could have been avoided by getting a copy of my original xrays), then trying to charge me to get my records. I would highly advise anyone to keep looking for a Dentist. One that you can trust will be open honest with you.

(Beware!) When I first started going here, I was extremely pleased; clean facility, courteous staff, and feeling that someone cared. I was also happy that I wasn’t being«hustled» to get unnecessary work done. I don’t know if I did something or if they just didn’t want my business anymore, but after the first year these people started tripping! Three incidents made me stop going here: 1. The good doctor started prescribing unnecessary work 2. They started requesting payment upfront from me.(Note: I’m retired military with an 80% disability rating. Between that and the dental insurance I get through my job, my insurance is top-notch.) and 3. She scheduled me for an additional cleaning KNOWING that ALL dental insurance companies only pay for two cleanings per year. When I attempted to discussed this with her, she had her receptionist tell me that«It’s my responsibility to keep up with my appointments.» Needless to say, I have a new dentist now. Watch out for this company, very unethical. !
