If I could give Smooth Tony’s ten stars on Unilocal I would so– five it is. Galveston is awesome with the history, the Strand and the Seawall. And. Smooth Tony’s adds a whole new delight to Galveston. My husband and I stumbled on this gem tonight. On Friday nights they have live music, which will make anyone want to dance; in fact, this was the best live band I’ve heard in a while. Top that off, with the best food I’ve had on the island and most genuine kind service by the sweetest family, makes Smooth Tony’s worthy of a ten star review. I will be back.

Will definitely be back. Wonderful food and live music. The sweet potato tots were amazing-​crunchy on the outside, smooth and creamyish on the inside. Chips for chips and salsa were homemade fried tortillas. Also tried the cheeseburger, shrimp poboy, and fish tacos. Would order all of these again.

Smooth Tony’s is an amazing meal. It’s close to UTMB so I get to pop over here whenever I get some free time at work. Their chicken wrap with sriracha sauce is to die for. It’s a perfect mix of flavors that makes my mouth water just thinking about it. The sweet potato tater tots are also very good, but I’m not sure they’re worth $ 4. In general, Smooth Tony’s is affordable and definitely a good price for the quality and taste that you’re paying for! The only issue is that they seem to have very sporadic hours of business, probably half due to the «island» mentality and half due to the fact that whenever they’re open they get a lot of business.

Wonderful, quaint atmosphere with a gorgeous lush garden patio! Definitely would recommend this to anyone for a quiet beautiful date day/​night! My husband & I will be coming back for sure! Added bonus, the food is delicious & the manager came out to greet us & chat for a bit. Great service!

Group of 8 and everyone loved it. Between us we ordered shrimp poboy, chicken tenders, Cuban sandwich, bacon cheeseburger, onion rings, fries, and sweet potato tots. Definitely would eat here again. You will need to pay attention to weather as the entire dining area is outside.

In town for work at UTMB and the local staff recommended we go out for lunch instead of the hospital café. Less than 2 blocks from the campus and great food at a great price. The pork tacos were so good. The pork was sweet and the tacos had great flavor. My colleagues tried the fish tacos and the chicken tacos. Topped off with fresh lemonade hit the spot.
Being able to sit outside on the patio was a great break to the day. Relaxing atmosphere and great food. Will abe back to try their other dishes. The nurses waiting for their take out raved about all sorts of dishes!

We wanted to come here after reading the reviews. We lived in Austin and heard this was the closest thing to an Austin establishment. They weren’t wrong. But they also were not right. Aside from the huge crowd of douche-​y bros in their pastel polos and women so tan and blond you’d think they fell from the playboy mansion, the spot was nice. But the people. Ugh. We stood in line for drinks and decided to leave when pretension personified decided to cut us in line. Like, you’re in your 30s, maybe, so you still think cutting in line is okay? Did that game of corn hole tire you out and make you forget your manners? The crowd drove us away. We aren’t going back. We left Austin because of it. Don’t bring it to Galveston, Smooth Tony’s. Stop.

Had the fish tacos with beans and rice, the tacos were really good but the beans could of been some of the best I have had. Great atmosphere you order at a little shack outside and they have this cool patio to hang out and eat. Would definitely go back.
And it was cheap. Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because no misters to help keep it cool.

Nice laid back, no frills place. Ordered the Thai chicken role with extra sauce. Food comes out pretty quick. The place tends to be crowded during lunch hours so I make sure I go either before or after the lunch rush crowds. Onion rings were great too. Will try it couple of times again.

The bacon cheeseburger was worth cheating on my diet. The fries were yummy, the kids loved the chicken tenders and my sister said the pulled pork was awesome! They even have PBR on tap … How vintage! I highly recommend if you are in the area. Parking is limited but worth the walk parking down the street.

Smooth Tony’s is the perfect place to grab lunch if you are on the UTMB campus. My favorite items are the wraps. Not only are they well-​priced and delicious, but they are so big it can easily be considered 2 meals. Extremely small on the inside but they do have lots of seating on the patio. The only drawback is that this place is crazy busy during lunchtime. This place is extremely popular with UTMB employees and students. Be aware that it closes pretty early on Monday-​Wednesday and closed completely on the weekends.

Prices are reasonable, and the wraps are huge! I had the veggie wrap which I didn’t know had rice in it (my fault) so I couldn’t really have it. I saw someone had the thai fries here on Unilocal and that’s not on the menu, but I asked if they still have it and they said yes! It was such good comfort food – everyone at my table shared.
This place gets VERY busy on lunch time as so many people from UTMB flood this place like Walmart on Black Friday. I think it’s still very worth it, though, and food comes quick inspite of the crowd.
There’s little space inside but a lot of patio space. The space inside gets very crowded but for great food and great service, it’s worth a come back.

This place can get really busy during lunch hour from all the UTMB traffic and you’ll probably be waiting for at least 30 min for your food (at least that’s what happened to us), BUT if you come any other hour, it’s pretty quick.
I really liked their tuna sandwich personally and their banana smoothie. It hits the spot in this insane summer heat.

This place gets good marks for décor and atmosphere, but we were severely disappointed with the food.
You’d expect pulled pork burger to be a little moist, but it was so dry that I could’ve used it as a dehumidifier!
Sweet potato tots were unique, but I we found the taste to be a bit bland.
My coworker had the veggie wrap and wasn’t impressed.
