Popeyes

Don’t normally review fast food restaurants, but this place is an oasis of good service on the island. All the ladies of this location are so sweet and respectful! If you are looking for something quick and a clean atmosphere then skip McDonalds and come here.

Missed breakfast and lunch and as much as fast food is not the best choice, yard bird tenders on the go was the ticket. Just ok, no special seasonings that I noted, when I asked for a cup of ice, was told no. After buying a #5 combo, I think a cup of ice as not an odd request. Very slow service, the car in front of me must have been flirting for something besides chicken.
Weird.

Popeye’s of Galveston is an excellent choice when it comes to eating fast food.
The restaurant itself is very clean and well maintained by the staff. There is nothing too special about the décor or atmosphere, but it’s not a bad place to eat in.
Service is friendly and expedient, better than most locations I’ve been to. There is a sassy lady at the counter who makes people smile.
The food here is great, especially for fast food. I love their shrimp po-​boys, fries, and biscuits. Truth be told, Popeye’s always beats Pappadeaux when it comes to making a good po-​boy and that’s a fact!
Overall, I’d recommend this Popeye’s to anyone looking for a quick bite to eat in Galveston. This ain’t McDonald’s for sure!

Really good shrimp po boy and some of the best seasoned fries I’ve ever had. The restaurant is pretty clean and the service is good. I’d definitely give this place a try if you’re ever in Galveston. :)
