Harbor View Inn

I loved this place. I originally wanted to stay somewhere by the ocean so I could smell the ocean, hear it, and had easy access… and have a view with a balcony as well. Unfortunately the pockets didnt allow for that type of luxury so I picked this hotel. The service was amazing, so helpful and SOOOO nice. Onsite parking which was a plus, and you are within walking distance to all of the shops and cute little restaurants on The Strand. We spent some time drinking and walking down this street and thankfully didnt have to drive our way home.
What I didnt know and was SOOO happy about — was the fact that I had access to the Hotel Galvez pool and bar area. It was a nice surprise when we arrived the were informed of this. It was our first stop. Pool, pina coladas, and sun. Cant beat that for the start of a weekend getaway!
They offer a continental breakfast which was decent, coffee was really good. My only reason for giving 4 stars and not 5 was because of the beds. The rooms were very cute and nicely decorated and we loved that about it. However, when paying this much for a room, you would expect a nice plush comfortable bed. Im not saying it was a rock like the quality inn or other 1 star hotel… but it definitely wasnt a marriott bed. Linens were comfy though with the nice fluffy white duvet.
I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a convenient, reasonably priced place to stay that is quaint, excellent personalized service, great staff, and close to everything. You get access to the Galvez which gives you the pool option as this hotel doesnt have one. I hate to even give 4 stars because we were very happy but I have to be honest in my review. Its cheaper than most on the island but Im not sure how it compares to the other ones on the beach as far as quality goes.
