Fresh food that tasted great. The gentlemen were friendly and provided great service. I ordered a salad and was pleasantly surprised at that it was a «real» salad. Both of the kiddos thought the fries were awesome.

I was undecided between a 1 star or 2. Today, I’ll be exceedingly charitable. Yes, I can understand people being upset about this guy wanting to charge for use of the restroom if you don’t buy something from his little restaurant. I can also understand how that part of The Strand can get busy enough to quickly rack up a water bill and maintenance costs(not to mention grossness) by people who aren’t even paying customers. This is probably the only thing I side with him on 100%. So for those feeling self-entitled to a small-biz bathroom, quit your whining. There are plenty of public restrooms outside of this place. You just have to look for the signs that are posted everywhere when you’re making your way down the pavement. The prices are outrageous for what you get. $ 13 for a cheeseburger and drink. The burger was tasteless and rubbery with a very familiar flat patty shape. The lettuce wasn’t not fresh, but you can tell it was just hangin’ in there the best it could that day. And for the bun, it looked like it was bought from the discounted bread rack in Walmart. I’m pretty sure that’s where the rest of the ingredients came from too since the«Swiss» cheese was that gross sliced bulls**t that is wrapped in plastic. Sure, I can understand the Walmart buys for inventory if you’re a tiny eatery, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to buy the higher quality products to make a highly quality meal. Though the tables were clean, it was clear to me that the nozzles for the fountain drinks haven’t been maintained well. I braved the pop too, but it just didn’t taste right. I left with a slight stomach ache, but I’ve travelled a lot and eaten at enough places to have digestive organs of steel. Not sure if others would have as good of a result. If this were a new establishment, I would say it could use a lot of work but had potential. This place has been around for a while(somehow). I guess enough one time customers who aren’t locals stumble in, forget to check reviews, pay the high price, and leave. The only thing that has me adding 0.6 stars, thus rounding up to 2, is that the owner guy was really cool to talk with. That’s it. For the next time I’m visiting The Strand, I’m passing this place up. Save your money, time, and stomach lining and find a better place to eat.

Service was nice, but the food was your basic out of the freezer low end restaurant food. My BLT was more greasy than I expected. Over priced in my opinion.

We ate here this week and everyone enjoyed the food. The owner was very nice and was helpful in pointing out places we should try while we were here. I had a shrimp Po boy and it hit the spot.

Good food and great service. They took care of us and helped us find some things to do in the city.

This is tucked away down a long hall in one of Galveston’s historic downtown buildings. The burgers are 100% beef, chicken all natural, fries always to perfection, and the owner does all the cooking. Highly recommended for a casual burger option that is off the tourist-beaten path.

My friend and I were walking the strand and dying for some food. We went into the nestle café, but they only had a couple sandwiches so we decided to go to this place. As soon as you get to the door, there are signs everywhere saying bathroom is for customers only, and if you’re not a customer but need to use the bathroom, it’s $ 2. This made the place look so cheap! But whatever we were starving. We ordered our meals, and asked for water cups. The man said they don’t have water in the fountain and instead we could buy bottles, store brand might I add, for $ 2. That’s what we did since we wanted water. We then waited 20 minutes for our food. I joked with my friend that this place was so cheap, there’d probably be no meat on the sandwich I ordered. When I finally got my club, there was one slice of turkey and 2 pieces of bacon. Just as I suspected… But I ate it. My sandwich was mediocre at best and my friend got the BBQ sandwich. It was subpar. The fries were good, however, but I would recommend going elsewhere.

I would actually give this place 4 stars but I gave it 5 to offset the review below that gave it 1. Definitely not a one star place. The burger and sandwich were big and the fries were great. The smoothies are good too. The only drawback was $ 10 for a burger and fries but it was plain to see on the menu. The owner of Italian descent took our order andmwas very nice. There were also plenty of tables… we scooted 2 small ones together for the 4 of us.

Hey I was happy with the fresh made turkey panni with a potato salad not drowning in mayo. The owner takes your order and helps to make it. Maybe its not bustling with people but it is a quiet off street eatery that will fill the belly and satisfy your wallet.

I had the Chicken Fried Steak and some fries, and it was pretty delicious. I love that the owner is right there — helping you make selections, overseeing the quality production and happily serving you the lunch. It beats the heck out of the mass produced chain store sandwiches that get all the television ad time. Try it out — you will not be disappointed.

Never again… I went here over the weekend with my husband, daughter and brother in law. We were walking down the strand and came up on it. We didn’t have high expectations. We just wanted something quick, easy and somewhat tasty. Well one out of three ain’t too bad right? Let me give an explanation about my one star review. The food was about a 3.5. Nothing spectacular but nothing inedible either. Gaffitti’s is a little hole in the wall. Just a handful of small tables. Most only seat 2. The two larger tables that seat four were already taken. Menu looked pretty good and prices seemed reasonable… but I will get to that in a minute. We waited in line to order. There was another group that got there just before us so we expected a little wait… no big deal. When it was our turn to order, we ordered a bacon cheeseburger, grilled cheese, kids nugget, fries and three cokes. $ 26! Come to find out… the cashier forgot to place the order for the chicken wrap my husband ordered. That was another $ 6. Everything was ala cart. They did not have«baskets» or «combos». I wasn’t the only one upset by this. There was another lady who had all her kids and she was having a hard time getting her food out of the kitchen. When she did… she asked about the fries. The owner told her she didn’t order any because everything is ala carte. She was not happy about that. I don’t blame her. We were upset because all of our stuff was expensive and they don’t tell you fries don’t come with it. Seriously!!! Also… when we ordered… they didn’t ask if we wanted fries. If you aren’t going to include it in the meal… then ask if they want it separately. Save yourself… if you want a mediocre hamburger and fries… you can go somewhere off the strand. Not worth it! By the way… the other review that is on here looks just like the owner we saw on Saturday.
