I just moved to Galveston and didn’t know anything about where to go or who to try seeing for an eye/glasses/contacts exam. I gave Dr. Ullman’s office a try(it’s currently Broadway Vision, I believe) and was really happy! He listened as I described that my old prescription for one of my eyes wasn’t working very well and that my contacts seemed scratchy in my eyes, and I could tell he focused on trying to help me with those issues. I didn’t feel rushed through my exam at all, as I’ve had with other eye doctors(you know, when they’re flipping those lenses back and forth as fast as they can go and you barely have time to register which one looks better?). The selection of frames isn’t huge, but it’s surely worth checking through! One of the women working there was wonderful in checking color/fit options in the frames I liked. At first my main plan was just to get my current frames updated with new lenses, and to check to see if I might like any other frames. I did find some and then hee-hawed around, trying to decide whether to get them, come back later, or not get them at all. I LOVED and VERY much appreciated that I didn’t feel pressured even a little tiny bit to get the new ones. Which I eventually did. :) Oh – and their exam prices were the best I could find after 5 calls around!
