Most authentic Italian food away from home! I grew up in an Italian household and am regularly disappointed by the«Italian food» sold in restaurants. What a refreshing treat to experience flavors I have only been able to taste in my moms kitchen. I had the combination plate and my husband had the fettuccine alfredo with chicken. Everything had such depth of flavor. The wait staff is friendly, efficient, and attentive. I will be coming back soon with friends.

The place was fantastic!, the people that rated it a 1 don’t know what they are talking about. I’m Italian!, I lived in Italy, the foods is homeschool Italian. I felt like I was sitting at my dads kitchen table. I had the sampler plate, my husband had the steak and soft crab and my mom has the ravioli, all we excellent. The steak cut like butter! Highly recommended!!!

This is my second or third visit this time I had the lasagna. End it came with the traditional iceberg lettuce salad quality was not good the sauce taste to me like it had a flavor of cooked cabbage not what you would expect from a spaghetti sauce my friends entrées were disappointing as well this restaurant at one time must’ve been very good however those times have come and gone and I won’t be back

Was here fir a B’Day party. My friends love this place so much. Little homestyle old school lItalian place tucked in a residential area. Very homely feeling. Homestyle cooking. I am not a great Italian food fan but my friends loved the food very much. I ordered the day’s special which was a red fish dish. Really didn’t dig the authentic flavor of the pasta sauce but the pan seared red fish was terriiiifiiiiicccc that I ordered a second one with the fish alone. I did not like the grilled shrimp that came with my dish. Rubbery and smelly. Not that shrimp don’t smell but cooke shrimp do tend to have less smell and great soft juicy texture. Overall great ambience and good food. Try it yourself.

4 out of 6 of our meals weren’t very good the only shining dish at this place was the chicken parm. Even as good as it was the service killed any chance of us going back I think our server had a little to much wine before and during her shift. This is one you need to skip on your next trip to the island.

I/we wouldn’t go there again unless there was just nothing else open… We were the first ones seated today when they opened and it still took well over 30 minutes to get my burnt, dried out chicken over what tasted like 2 day old, 3 cheese fettuccine at $ 20 per plate. After eating only a 5th(at best) of the meal, I handed it back and no one even asked if everything was alright… The salad was fresh but, you get either Italian or Ranch dressing. That’s it. No other choices. The services was okay but, our server gave us the you don’t look like you have the money to eat here trip. My opinion, even if we didn’t, it’s bad taste to treat any patron that way… Overall just not a place I’d care to go or take someone too.

Authentic sicilian cuisine. Tucked away from the main drags, but worth the detour. COMFORT food… I had the $ 9.99 special — beef w/Penne pasta. They serve salad, olives n pickled veggies, italian bread to munch on. Beef was tender, but nothing exceptional. Pasta was al denture. Atmosphere is old world, only about 15 tables. Their Wednesday pork chop special was so popular, they ran out by 12:30PM. Good value meal for a reasonable price. Owners still work, w/patchy help but they try very hard to make the customer happy.

The food is always wonderful here. My husband and I also enjoy the cozy family atmosphere of Di Bella’s. We are not Italian but when we eat at Di Bella’s we feel very Italian! The walls have smiling patrons from the past to recent. And someone is always celebrating an occasion. The grandpa behind us last night had his two adorable grandchildren singing him Happy Birthday. So much fun! We enjoyed our five cheese ravioli and shrimp in cream sauce along with a great bottle of wine. My husband decided to take a piece of homemade Italian Cream cake to go. It was soooo good folks!!! I’d go just for the cream cake! Thank you to our smiling hostess and sweet waitress for a wonderful evening at Di Bella’s!

A hidden gem in the middle of Galveston away from the hooplah of the Seawall. Truly a place for locals. Can be very deceptive from the outside as the windows are tinted and the place can look desolate, however this changes after you walk in. The restaurant itself is not fancy with red and white checkered clothes at tables, however the service is impeccable. We were immediately greeted and seated promptly. The food itself is not the best italian food I have ever had, however it is reasonably priced, tastes pretty good, and comes with amazing garlic bread plus a soup or salad. No parking lot, so have to park on the street(plenty of open areas though). Also it is one of the few good places in Galveston actually open on a Sunday. Get away from the hustle and bustle of the Strand or Seawall and check this place out!

I’m only giving this one star because I can’t do less than that. I honestly cannot believe that people are saying this is the best Italian they have had. It makes me sad for you. Our server let us wait for 30 minutes before getting anything to eat.(Salad, breadsticks, our appetizer… anything.) We ended up being in the restaraunt for over two hours altogether, the entire time we saw our server three times, which included only one refill. She said«let me get you an antipasto plate before I get your salads out». Later(after we were almost finished) when my mother in law reminded her about it she said«I said that? No. We don’t give those out anymore.» Even though the menu says«antipasto plate with every order» or something to that effect. She was very rude and has definitely spent a little too much time behind the wine bar. Here’s what I can say that can hopefully help someone who is considering eating here. 1.Food is unbelievably bland. 2.Since gratuity is added(18%) to tables of six or more, they obviously don’t care about service. 3.If you aren’t a local, you don’t matter. I’m sure this was a great restaraunt at some time, but that time is not here any longer.
