BBQ Barn

Despite the taste of the food, I have to give BBQ barn two stars.
I must admit in Texas we are used to getting big portions of food and for $ 12 a plate you expect to be well fed. Not here.
I counted 15 fried okra (go judge someone else) in my container and a small scoop of potato salad. The ribs were very small and I think they gave me 4 pieces.
The food is really tasty, dont get me wrong but I do enjoy getting what I pay for. When I brought the portion size to the attention of the cashier she said «I’m not the manager, we weigh our portions in order to make a profit.
Well let me tell you BBQ barn, you can’t make a profit if no one is coming to your established because they feel cheated.
This place typically has an empty parking lot… there was only one other person In there when I went in there… I’m just saying.

They forgot our order, after waiting 45 minutes we got limp French fries and limp lettuce salad … How long ago was this food prepared? The boiled shrimp was half raw :(our waitress was very sweet she shared her pizza with us but We’ll never go there again :(

Recently moved to Galveston and did some olé interweb searching and stumbled across this gold mine of a BBQ joint. The Big Galoot Burger is by far the greatest invention know to man. I would highly recommend this place, great atmosphere, great employees, very impressed with this place.

If it could be less stars, then I would put none. Probably the worst excuse for food I have experienced in 64 years. It was supposed to be the Road House BBQ but I guess that closed.
I tried the ribs and they weren’t ribs, just tips, and very few of them, mostly fat. I got the cajun fries and could not eat them. They were so soaked in grease they were limp and shining. I complained about the horrible food, but got no discount. DON’T GO THERE. It is really a small little bar.

The BBQ BARN is a very small place to visit. Better as a bar joint. This was my first visit with my sister and her family at this place today since it opened. We ordered the fried pickles. I ordered the two meat combo and my sister ordered the rib basket. We also ordered tea to drink. By the way who serves iced tea unsweetened? The fried pickles were kind of blah. they have a thin batter that were fried in oil. there was plenty of oil that dripped from them and pooled at the bottom of the basket. but we loved fried pickles anyway. My sister’s rib basket came with cajun fries and she said the ribs were very tender but the fries were spicy and oily. On my plate everything was just kinda blah. the potato salad was flavorless and you can taste the chill on them. The fried okra was actually very good and I normally don’t like okra at all anywhere. The sausage was filled with spices. The sliced brisket was cut thick and you can definitely see the colors from when it was smoked. it has a fatty piece under the layer. Overall I feel like the food is a bit overpriced and the flavor isn’t there as far as what you would expect from a BBQ. and speaking of barbecue the sauce was sweet and chilled. The waitress was friendly and provided great service.

I got food to go and it was not good. The fries were okay but not the kind I ordered. I didn’t even bite into the sandwich it looked so unappealing. Nothing like the description on the menu. Service was friendly but not timely.

This place is great! Food and service was the best. Can’t wait to go back next time I’m in town. Eat the BBQ

Love this place… the owner is the best person I know.
The food is great this is the first place I go to when I have a craving for BBQ. The atmosphere is great inside and out especially during this time of year fall, when you can sit outside and enjoy the cool days and have your lunch or dinner on the patio.

This place is the
bbq was so good. Brisket was so flavorful and tender. Service was awesome felt like I was walking into a family kitchen. They have awesome happy hour and drink specials also. Definitely will come back when I’m in town.

Great BBQ joint. I try and visit whenever I am in town. They have a great group of girls working here. Great beer prices on game nights. The bbq is delicious. My favorite spot for a quick BBQ fix

Great bbq joint, best I’ve had so far in the city.

We’re regular patrons until couple of weeks ago.
Sat at bar and ordered two brisket sandwiches and a Shiner and Ice Tea.
Waited at bar close to hour for our food. Not really crowded. Owner sitting at bar two stools down made no attempt to intervene when we told barmaid we could not wait any longer. No one offered to find out what happened to our food.
Threw down a finski on bar and walked out.
Cross them off the list.
