Mary is SO KIND. The coffee is smooth and flavorful. The food is outrageously good, healthy, vibrant flavors, and often super unique and unexpected. Great environment, welcoming to hang out and do work or just visit. And the shows they throw are the greatest!

The chocolate chip cookie coupled with the savory potato soup, baguette and yogurt made for a very pleasurable lunch. The coffee was excellent and I enjoyed exchanging pleasantries with the young proprietor. She obviously takes pride in making The Beanhive a success.

We just stopped in to get a coffee on our way to Omaha. It was worth the few extra minutes off the highway! The coffee was made with care, delicious and served graciously. The muffins were outrageously yummy, made from scratch and generously portioned. We had the raspberry made with fresh berries. Definitely will stop again!

Mary and her team serve up the best hot beverages in the Burg! I even use their beans at my shop. Plenty of outlet space as well, if you need wifi.

This place was pretty chill when I parked there for a couple of hours on a Wednesday afternoon. I ordered a decaf latte with skim milk. Foam was creamy and the drink delicious. There are about 10 tables along the walls with a good number of electrical outlets available. Bathrooms were spartan but were single, so there was privacy. Internet was speedy. Password was available from the staff. All in all, a good place to work.

Galesburg needed this place when it started out as Kaldi’s. Excellent drinks, very fair prices and the people are friendly without being overbearing. Absolutely would recommend.

We stopped at this great little café on the way to WIU and so glad we did. It’s a little gem! Has a nice roomy seating area, lots of little tables (where I saw old and young alike on their gadgets). Must have the hot chocolate with whip cream… deeee-​licious! Coffee is great too :) Had an awesome banana chocolate chip muffin which tasted like it came straight out of the oven. The owner was super sweet too! Will definitely be back here on our future jaunts :)

This is a cute little coffee shop. We just went in for a quick stop and ordered a hot chai latte and an iced coffee with hazelnut. The iced coffee was very good! One of the best I’ve had and this is why: they use coffee ice cubes. Genius.
The flavor of the chai was great too, with just enough spice. The only downside is they didn’t have soy milk (were out for the day)…

Great little authentic coffee shop, friendly servers. They have a few snacks as well, cookies and the such.
They also have smooties and hot chocolate of course.
Their wifi is fast and the setup is friendly to the laptop road warrior. Plenty of electrical outlets and decent sized tables.

If «authentic coffee shop feel» is the first criteria by which to judge a place, they’re winning already. The brick wall façade, the empty coffee bags used as art (although they’re using Intelligentsia bags but not their coffee anymore) and mix of people working and socializing help convey the image of a vibrant meeting place that meets and variety of needs.

This place is good for sitting for a bit and getting work done, but it could use some work. Starting with the hodge podge feeling environment and the music. Other than that, the drinks were half decent an the staff very welcoming.

Kaldi’s, now called the Beanhive, is a great little coffee shop. They have a good selection of drinks and some unusual options such as the «london fog». They are really open about making any sort of drink you can think of. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate. It’s a good place to bring your laptop and get some work done. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I recommend the iced chai as a summer drink and the london fog in the winter.

This place is the best. My husband’s family lives near by and finding a real cup of coffee (Chicago spoils you) was a huge issue when we came. But then we found this slice of heaven which serves Intelligentsia Coffee and makes it correctly. Every time.
The atmosphere is great and if you sit for four hours while you study no one fusses. Add in free WiFi and its my home away from home away from home this summer.
They make a mean smoothie too!

This place is great! It could do a few things better though. The place doesn’t accept debit /​credit card (ouch). It doesn’t even do the gift card thing (double ouch).
The coffee drinks are great. I really like the Benny and the iced mocha. The other non coffee drinks are just so so. The Italian soda is especially bad. The Yerba Mate is good albeit over-​priced knowing how much their mix costs them to buy
